Dr. James Plaisted was born and raised in Tullahoma, Tennessee. He attended Wofford College in South Carolina where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. Dr. Plaisted was a member of the baseball team during his time at Wofford College. Following graduation, Dr. Plaisted attended the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and earned his doctorate degree in dental surgery. Throughout his academic career, Dr. Plaisted excelled in clinic and was selected as a member of the Advanced Prosthodontics program during his final year of dental school.
Dr. Plaisted has experience working in a variety of clinics that have led to exceptional training in all areas of General Dentistry. His diverse skill set allows him to address simple fillings, complex full mouth restorations, and anything in between. He participates regularly in continuing education courses to constantly refine his craft and offer comprehensive treatment planning and application of contemporary procedures. Dr. Plaisted and his wife, Chelynne, have two dogs: a German Shepherd named Rowdy and an Australian Shepherd named Summitt. During his free time, Dr. Plaisted enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, kayaking, and playing fetch with his dogs.

I'm sure these words are seldom spoken in a dentist' office - but this was almost a wonderful experience! All of you are so kind and friendly and Dr. James is the best. I loved your Halloween outfits. Seeing the Clown and the Lion was a great way to start my visit. Again, I think you are the best and I recommend you to all my friends.

Everyone is so nice and friendly. I can't walk and wear a heart monitor and they furnished a wheelchair for me. I sit in it to get my teeth cleaned and visit my Dentist who is super nice. If you want an awesome dentist and a super sweet personal. go to Taylors Dental.

Your new X-ray equipment provided the Best experience I have ever had at the dentist. I have a very small mouth and "old" system would be very painful. An investment that should benefit your practice. Karen's 16 years experience helped this process. She was gentle and did a wonderful cleaning. I am so happy to have found all of you. Thanks

I recently switched from another dentist to Taylors Dental. It was a GOOD MOVE. The Hygienist has been GREAT at my tooth cleanings. She has a GOOD TOUCH and provides GOOD INFORMATION about the cleaning, as well as the status of my teeth. These are things that I have not had before. Thank you Dr. James and TEAM.

Well I knew they had to be better than Aspen Dental they weren't professional at all .so far Taylors Dental has been professional an d explaining all work needed to be done.thats all you can ask for. staff very helpful with all problems .let me tell you I had problems. Looking forward to doing business with them.

I have been going to this practice for years and was nervous when I heard a new dentist was taking over. Let me tell you first hand; there is no need to worry! Dr. Plaisted is a very knowledgeable, dependable dentist that does great work and ensures that each procedure is explained properly so that his patients are taken care of to the fullest extent. I definitely recommend!

The dentist is just great - he is professional, considerate, helpful (doesn't mind you asking questions). All the people there are wonderful - when you call you can be assured whoever answers will be happy to do all they can to help you. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give them 100! In fact, I just recommended them today to a friend of mine.

Very professional and friendly staff. Dr. James took the time to explain the care I need and how much it would cost. I appreciate all their work! I was referred to them by my mother in law and they were able to work me in in less than a week with a dental emergency.
