Taylor Made Smiles Dentistry - General dentist in Little Elm, TX

Taylor Made Smiles is the physical expression of my passion to practice dentistry the way it should be. It is my way of giving back a little piece of myself to my community. During my childhood I witnessed dental health disparities first hand in my small town of barely 600 people. Limited access to care and inadequate education about dental healthcare caused many people to lose teeth at very young ages. As a child I did not understand this but soon realized the cause of these disparities and decided I wanted to be a part of the solution.

Today I have my own children and am happy to be able to provide them with the best dental care and educate them about their dental health. Saniya Taylor (6), Lazarus Taylor V (4), and our newest addition Zoe Taylor (3 months) are my motivation to be my best self every day. I am a busy working mom and wife so I truly understand the challenges parents face with trying to find the time and resources to care for their families as well as themselves. At Taylor Made Smiles we would like to take some of that burden off your hands. Your family is an extension of our family and we will always treat you and yours that way. We provide customized, non cookie-cutter dental care to each patient that walks through our doors. When you come to Taylor Made Smiles You wont have to worry about seeing a different doctor, because I will personally be there to greet you at each visit!

Our team is truly phenomenal! With years of experience and training in dental healthcare, our team will work diligently to help keep our patients healthy and well informed about their oral health as well as their dental benefits. We provide quality/gentle dental care and take pride in our state-of-the-art facilities which include visible sterilization centers, nitrous oxide availability throughout our office, and patient amenities for comfort and entertainment. We welcome patients of all ages at Taylor Made Smiles. We are looking forward to meeting you!

Dr. Yolanda Taylor is a current resident of Little Elm, TX. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Tougaloo College where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. After graduating she attended the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry where she received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree. After graduating Dr. Taylor moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

There she began her career treating primarily children. This allowed her to become comfortable treating small children who are often excluded from general practices, including those with autism and other disabilities. The techniques she learned translated very well to her adult patients who have high dental anxiety or disabilities.

Dr. Taylor believes in treating the whole person. Teeth are attached to people. Previous experiences, medical concerns, age, gender, profession, and desires for aesthetics are all factors that influence decisions that are made on the course of their treatment. says Dr. Taylor. She strives to educate and motivate her patients to better care for themselves.

My daughter is almost 3, and she's been coming here for a while now. They've seen her go through the stages of being a compliant baby, to not wanting anything to do with the dentist at 2 years old, and screaming and crying, to now she loves the dentist and is so excited to show them how she brushes her teeth and follows directions well. They are always so sweet and patient. I am so grateful for the warm environment!

Terrible. Don't go here. First the lady taking my X Rays was horrible. Kept shoving the bite wings around my mouth not giving me a minute to catch my breath making me gag. She kept retaking the same ones over and over again because she couldn't get it right. Then someone came in the room with the estimate of charges for my teeth cleaning and examination and X Rays. Told me it would be almost $1300 maxing out my $1000 annual max with my PPO plan and advised me I would have to pay $274 out of pocket for a routine exam and deep cleaning of my teeth. Outrageous for a exam and one time cleaning. No dental work was even being done. Just standard routine exam and cleaning. That's 1,000 for cleaning alone. Insane . There license should be revoked. I would give 0 stars if I could. Never going here again.

Update: I spent a substantial amount of time on the phone with Lydia. I read her the numbers she asked for. I know my member ID number. She failed to ask for my kids ID number which is different than my ID number. I asked Lydia did she need any other numbers off the card when we were on the phone. She said no. She stated she only needed my member ID. I gave her every phone number on the card as well. I should have been called before I came to the office because she did not have correct verification. Had I been late to my appointment I would have been rendered consequences. Doctor offices should be considerate of patients' time as they expect us to be considerate of their time. Unorganized! I originally tried to come this office a couple of months ago and was told they did not take my insurance. So I waited and switched my insurance because I heard really great things about this office and it was close to my home. I finally got scheduled and spent a substantial amount of time on the phone with the front desk verifying my insurance and coverage. She assured me everything was okay and she would call me if she needed anything else. Fast forward to the day of my appointment, my kids and I arrive about 15 minutes prior to our appointment time. We get there and the front desk lady tells me they were not able to verify my insurance. So I pull up my information and she calls the company and has to spend over 30 minutes verifying my insurance. I ask her do we need to reschedule. The front desk lady tells me no everything is all good. I have now waited 30 minutes after my appointment time and she tells me I need to wait another 10-15 minutes so she can put everything through. I could not want to wait any longer I had other obligations. I am frustrated because 1. My son had to miss the remainder of his school day for nothing. 2. My appointment was in the afternoon. The office should have been working on verifying my insurance prior to my arrival. That should have been top priority. If there were issues they could have called me to say that. 3. No one apologized for them being unorganized or the time I wasted making arrangements for my children's appointment. I'm sure Dr.Taylor is a splendid dentist but we will never get the opportunity to experience her services due to lack of communication and lack of organization from her office staff.

I have a phobia for dental offices, however, the front desk to the dental Dr. all made me feel very relaxed and less anxious. They were all very welcoming, friendly and easy to chat. My service was a breeze, and done in a very pristine environment. Highly recommended..

Extremely friendly from start to finish. They were my second opinion for a treatment plan and my only regret was being halfway through treatment at another office before going to Taylor Made Smiles.
