Dr. Robert Taylor, DMD I absolutely love orthodontics!!! Theres simply nothing better than helping people smile and feel good about themselves. My personal philosophy is to treat every individual as I would treat my own wife or children. Every patient is extremely important to me, and you will sense that as a patient in our office. Because I really care about each persons treatment, I spend extra time to customize each treatment plan to ensure everyone receives the BEST possible care. I also utilize the latest technology available to provide natural and beautiful smiles. My main goal as an orthodontist is that you will absolutely love your result!
I grew up in West Jordan, Utah, with three siblings: one brother and two sisters. Sports were my love growing up, and I spent my days playing pickup baseball, football and basketball. I made the freshman basketball team, but that was the end of my NBA hoop dreams. Not even Miracle-Gro could overcome my sweet great grandmothers gift of lack of height. Sports are still my love though, especially basketball, golf and fishing.
My father runs a small roofing business (Aluminum Lock Roofing) where I often worked during summers growing up. Working as a roofer in the blistering summer heat taught me the value of honest hard work. And while I enjoyed my time as a roofer, that experience has helped me to really love and appreciate my career as an orthodontist.
I received a bachelors degree in business management from BYU. While at BYU, I also met my wonderful wife Mandy, who is a pediatric nurse. After graduating from BYU, I was honored to attend dental school at Harvard University where I earned my dental degree and was recognized with several high-achievement awards. Following dental school, I completed a one-year general dentistry residency at the University of Utah where I performed advanced techniques in dentistry. I then spent two years specializing in orthodontics at the University of Minnesota.
After severely cold winters in Boston and Minneapolis, we decided to return to a milder climate and closer to home, so we moved back to Utah. We love Utah, its natural beauty and the diverse recreation it offers. We have four beautiful children Evan, Lily, Will and Mia who keep us constantly running!

Taylor Family Orthodontics is great. The have the best workers and Dr. Taylor is amazing. I personally recommend taking your kids here.

Like many adults, I had braces as a young teenager but I stopped wearing my retainers in my 20s when they stopped fitting. I wish someone had encouraged me to get new retainers so my teeth would stop drifting. Dr. Taylor suggested I could get retainers to prevent further crowding or do braces or invisalign trays to correct my bite and alignment. I went with the the aligners and I am glad I did. I could remove the aligners to eat and to floss. In only 9 months I completed my treatment, and I am very pleased with the results. I'll be wearing my retainers consistently from now on. Dr. Taylor and his staff are true professionals and run a great business.

Was referred to this place by a friend/neighbor who took her kids here. I was really impressed with everything: the interior decor, the front reception staff who were always greeting customers with their first names, and how attentive they are to your needs! Our consult went really well and Dr. Taylor did a fantastic job in explaining the whole process for braces, what to expect, timeframe, and comparisons to other options. When it was time to have braces installed, the gal was really friendly and personable with our family, and she did her job efficiently and in a timely manner. There's a sense of a really established staff in this location and you can tell that they treat every person who walks in with courtesy, professionalism, and respect - I can't say enough good things about this place!

Dr Taylor has treated two of my kids. He has done a wonderful job! Our family thinks he is the best and we just love him and his amazing staff!!! If you need braces, this is the place to go!

Fabulous office! If there were on option for 10 stars, they'd get 10 out of 10. :) Not only is Dr. Taylor a great orthodontist, but his office as a whole is full of skilled, fun, and happy people! So glad their office was recommended to me several years ago. Our youngest three have all had their smiles improved there, and as strange as this may sound, I am sad that I don't have any kids left to bring to the orthodontist! How often do you hear that??! Sounds crazy, but it's true. They are really that good! Thanks for making necessary braces such a good experience for our kiddos!!

I cannot rave enough about Dr. Taylor and his entire staff. A couple of years ago my oldest son and I went to several orthodontists to get free consultations. Neither of us have severe issues with our smiles so I didn't expect that we'd need any kind of extreme treatments. I felt so discouraged because one orthodontist was recommending jaw surgery for me and head gear for my son. Cha-ching. And ouch! A friend recommended Dr. Taylor and I knew right away we would never go anywhere else. He was so responsive to my worries and much more conservative with his recommendations. I ended up in braces for 15 months and just got them off. My son will likely start his treatment soon. It was such a positive experience all around. Dr. Taylor and his staff are so friendly and fun I honestly looked forward to every appointment. My kids loved going into appointments with me and were all disappointed when I got the braces off this week because they want to keep going into the office with me. I'm so happy with my results and with the entire process. We will always use Dr. Taylor's office for our orthodontic needs. 10/10 recommend to anyone who needs an orthodontist!!

This is the place! I never got braces in my youth and decided to do it as a male in my 30s. The first thing I noticed and loved was how thorough Dr. Taylor and his office staff were during the initial consultation. He spent a significant amount of time examining my teeth, bite, jaw, etc and noting all relevant items during the consultation. At every visit since then he spends the same time each visit looking at my bite and closely tracking my progress, and I love how thoughtful and deliberate he is about each action he takes. I'm now getting close to finishing the treatment and I love how my smile is looking and feeling. Dr. Taylor is a true professional who does exceptional work that he can take pride in. I look forward to sending my kids to Dr. Taylor when they are ready.

We have had the best experience with Dr Taylor and his staff. Dr Taylor is professional, honest and great at what he does. My daughter's teeth and smile looks amazing, she couldn't be happier. The atmosphere at their office is so fun and welcoming. The staff makes you feel so happy and comfortable and you walk out feeling like you are their favorite patient everytime. You all are amazing!

My experience was absolutely incredible. Everyone was very friendly and flexible. Dr. Taylor was wonderful and always knew how to help whenever it was needed. I never had any complaints during my journey with braces. I'm very happy with how everything turned out and super obsessed my teeth!

Holy Cow! This place is amazing! We have loved coming to Taylor Family Orthodontics with our last two kids. Our older ones went two different orthodontics and hands down this has been such a great experience! From the ladies at the front desk to the assistants in the back to Dr Taylor, you will feel like family. My kids LOVE going to their appointments and seeing all the beautiful, happy, hilarious staff there. Dr Taylor is very thorough and has fixed and corrected things we didn't even know was a concern. I have one child that has completed his treatment there and one still in braces. My son's teeth look amazing! I wished we had taken my older children to Dr Taylor. You get the whole package at Taylor Family Orthodontics! It will be a bitter sweet day when we are all done there!
