Dr. Monica Moussanejad grew up in southern CA where she attended Reseda High School. While there, Dr. Monica always had an interest in the field of dentistry, and pursued it by working as a dental assistant. It was during that time as an assistant, that she discovered that becoming a dentist would be her chosen path.
Following high school, she received her Bachelors of Science degree from UCLA in Biology and then went on to received her dental education from USC School of Dentistry, where she excelled, graduating in 2002.
Since graduating from USC she has worked in the San Fernando Valley and in Beverly-Hills. Over her years of practice, Dr. Monica has completed many aesthetics cases, but she also very much enjoys all aspects of general and family dentistry, including treating children. Dr. Monica takes particular pride in making sure that her dental work is exceptional, while maintaining patient comfort at all times.
Jasmine has been in the dental field for over 10 years and with us at Tarzana Smile Design since moving to California in 2007. Jasmine completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from West Coast University in Anaheim, CA. She has had the privilege of living in several states due to her family being in the military, but has permanently settled since moving to California. She enjoys hiking, running, and spending time with her family, including with her pomeranian, Marlo.
Having a passion for helping others, Irina became interested in the dental field when she was 12 years old after she started shadowing her hygienist, her aunt. This lead Irina to start community college at the age of 15 and at age 19, got accepted into the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC where she studied dental hygiene.
Irinas technique is gentle, yet thorough. She enjoys interacting with her patients, while also providing them with the quality of care they deserve. She believes its crucial that patients understand the importance of good oral hygiene and how it affects their overall health.
Before dentistry, Irinas greatest passion was dance. She even competed at Showstopper and won 1st place in Jazz. When she started USC, she retired dancing, but has still stayed active. She enjoys hiking & traveling and is a mommy to the cutest fur baby, her Bengal kitten, Leah.
Silvia was born and raised in beautiful Brazil where she graduated from Paulista University in Sao Paulo, 2002. Living in LA since 2008, Silvia has been working as a dental assistant with Dr Monica since 2009 and has gained experience and passion to provide the best experience for all her patients. Her interest for dentistry started as her orthodontist inspired her to change the world, one smile at a time. Silvia is a concert-lover, and likes to travel the world to follow her favorite bands, U2 and Pearl Jam. Being a handball player through college, she is a sports fanatic, going to Brazil every year to visit her family and watch her favorite soccer team, Corinthians play.
Neda graduated from Loma Linda university school of dentistry. She was born and raised in Iran, always had a dream to educate in the university in United States since she was 18. Although it happened along time after but she still had the passion and desire that made her strong to start her life alone far from her family achieving her goal. She started school immediately after emigrating where she quickly became passionate about dentistry. Her passion inspired her to further her education by becoming a Dental Hygienist.
Neda is the one who makes patients feel at ease by building confidence, and trust with each patient. She loves getting know her patients and understand their needs to help them improve their oral hygiene. Neda's favorite part of her job is providing patients healthy smile.
Kenitha graduated in 1999 from Meharry Medical College and Tennessee State University in Nashville. She is a Nashville native who has lived in California for 19 years now with her husband and two children. Her career began Dental Hygiene working in a Periodontal office. She has obtained over 350 units of continuing education in Dental Hygiene. Kenitha continues to find a tremendous amount of gratification in her works knowing with each dental cleaning she performs she is restoring her patient 's health. 'I am a participant in my patient 's health, we are team mates and I am glad to such.'
Shawn has been a registered dental assistant since 2012. He worked as a dental radiology clinical instructor for the Los Angeles School of Dental Assisting and has been working with Tarzana Smile Design since 2018. Shawn is currently attending West Coast University to further his dental career as a dental hygienist and is expected to graduate in 2023. He loves cooking, spending time with family and friends, and riding his Harley Davidson. Shawn has a friendly and humorous personality and is committed to ensuring all his patients have the most enjoyable dental experience.

I have had my dental care with Monica for over 10 years. She and her staff are highly professional and down to earth genuinely friendly. I am a surgeon and appreciate when someone is kind and caring as well as competent. I give her my highest recommendation. SJS

A very pleasant experience with Dr. Monica and her staff. She is very professional, she takes the time to explain what needs to be done and provides valuable advice. It's not easy to find a good dentist, I highly recommend Dr. Monica.

I can't express how completely amazing this office is with the words available in the English language. Dr. Monica is the best dentist I've ever had and has the best staff I've ever dealt with. I HATE GOING TO THE DENTIST!! Since I was a kid and had a bad experience, I have always dreaded the dentist chair. The entire staff here has always treated me like a human being, they are patient and actually LISTEN. I don't even mind coming in anymore, which is something I never thought I would say. I don't care who your dentist is now, if you want quality dental care and to be treated like you matter, go see Dr. Monica.

I cannot begin to tell you how pleased I am with Dr. Monica, and the entire staff. Everyone there is kind, knowledgeable, and empathetic. I called On a Saturday morning with a toothache and the answering service had me connected with Dr. Monica in less than 90 seconds. I had a prescription and an appointment within a few minutes. I am one very satisfied customer!

It was a pleasure visiting this office, everyone was courteous. I was given a free consultation even though Dr. Monica was not in my insurance network, she found out what was causing my gum to be sore. Thank you so much, I'm feeling much better today, no more soreness. Anyone seeking good dental care , I suggest you visit this office.

What a relief! I just got home from my first appointment here for a cleaning and it was nothing less than amazing. I hate when dentists just use that ultrasonic device, but the dental hygienist Mrs. (----) used the old fashioned way of cleaning each tooth gently with whatever that metal scraper finished with the flossing and polishing. The gentile man in front office is very respectful and helpful. Everything was done in much less than a half hour. Thank you Dr. Monica and your staff for your outstanding work!

I love love love these people! As you walk in and see Anna and her sweet smile and up beat personality you no your in great hands. Doctor Monica is FABULOUS and the staff is awesome! Kind gentle and for me down right funny. I always enjoy my visit, and blessed that they will have me. I wish I could see them more than twice a year. Now I no finding a great dentist is hard and everyone has story but trust me, this is where you want to be!

Most likely the best dental experience I've had in my life. Dr Monica M. has been so gentle and accommodating to me. She explained every step of the treatment and made sure I'm comfortable throughout. She revised the X-rays with me and too a conservative approach with the plan, which I truly appreciated. I highly recommend this dental practice to anyone looking for an honest and talented dentist. The front desk was also very pleasant and the dental assistant was also excellent and knowledgeable. Highly highly recommended. It's tough to find an honest dentist these days so do yourself and your teeth a favor and consider this office. You won't regret it!

Just had my first appointment at Tarzana Smile Design and it was great! I just moved to this area and needed a new dentist and I'm glad I found one so easily. Ana at the front desk was very friendly and knowledgeable. Cheyenne was very friendly as well, and Dr. Monica was great! She was very kind and made sure I was comfortable. This will be my new forever dentist office and I recommend you to go there as well.
