Dr. Tao Sun, DDS practices general dentistry with an emphasis on restorative and cosmetic dentistry. He also brings over 10 years of orthodontic experience. He received his DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) degree from the University of California Los Angeles, School of Dentistry. The UCLA School of Dentistry is a premier dental school not only on a national but also on an international scale. Dr. Sun also has his MS (Master of Science) degree from UC Irvine, School of Engineering.
Only three short years after graduating from dental school, Dr. Sun opened his first private practice in Apple Valley, California. This was followed by the opening of his state-of-the-art office that borders Costa Mesa and the beautiful city of Newport Beach, California. Currently, Dr. Sun maintains both private practices in Costa Mesa and Apple Valley, California. To continue his expertise in the most advanced procedures, Dr. Sun completes numerous hours of continuing education in order to stay up to date in his post-graduate dental training.

Going to the dentist always makes me nervous, but I left Dr. Sun's office surprised at how smooth and easy everything went. He and his staff were very kind and easy going.

Great dentist, and a wonderful human being. Genuinely cares about his patients. He is honest and practical. Three years ago I was referred to Dr. Sun by a friend, I've finally found a dental professional I trust.

The best dentist I've ever had. Cares about his patients and is helpful and kind. No one likes to go to the dentist, but Dr. Sun makes it as good as you can get :)

My family has been going to Dr. Sun for quite sometime and are extremely happy! I lost a tooth just as everything was closing down due to Covid-19 in March 2020. Dr. Sun made a point to take care of getting my tooth installed , before he had to close his practice per state guidelines. Great practice, best dentist around in our humble opinion.

I am beyond satisfied with my experience at Dr. Sun's office. I have received exceptional care from everyone there, I only wish I had found it sooner. Dr. Sun and his staff are compassionate and professional, I'm not terrified of going to the dentist anymore. Lupe at the front desk is outstanding, I feel cared for each time I have a visit. I hate going to the dentist but Dr. Sun was amazing! Very calm and low key dentist yet he was very knowledgeable and is using the latest technology. He ONLY suggests stuff you need and won't tell you to do things that you don't need. Most dentists lie to you and tell you things you need to do to your teeth to make money off of you-but Dr. Sun was honest! I will keep getting my cleanings done every 6 months from him for life! Free parking and easy to find parking as well on 17th st. I am very happy and everyone should see him. His hours are not that great but its worth it to have an honest dentist! Keith

FANTASTIC DENTIST!!!! He really cares more about his patients than any dentist I have ever met in my life. If he could I think he would do everything for free, his prices are always reasonable and he does a very thorough job, even does his cleanings himself. I have only had one cavity in my life and he filled it. He is a great person and an excellent dentist!
