Dr. Tanya Brown, the founder and owner of The Center for Cosmetic & Restorative Dentistry is one of a select group of dentists Nationally who has completed the core curriculum at The Dawson Academy of Advanced Dentistry in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Dr. Brown has studied and mastered the areas of cosmetic dentistry, smile design, comprehensive restorative dentistry and implant dentistry. She has completed several courses from Dr. Frank Spear of Spear Education in Scottsdale, Arizona. She has attended courses at the Pankey Institute as well as completed advanced courses on Invisalign. Dr. Brown has earned Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry, which requires over 500 hours of continuing education.
Dr. Brown grew up just outside of Atlanta, Georgia in Fayetteville, and lives in the Great Bridge/Hickory area of Chesapeake with her husband, Richard, and their cat, Sweet Tart. When not in the office, Dr. Brown can be found jogging around the neighborhood, going to the pool, getting a manicure or pedicure, or working in the yard. She loves traveling and teaching dental students.
Dr. Brown is passionate about empowering other women as well as dental and health related initiatives. Community involvement is important to her because this is the community that she calls home, and she wants it to be a better place! She is especially focused on improving the local Hampton Roads community. She is involved in the Rotary Club of Great Bridge, Childrens Dental Health Month, and Dental Access to Care Days. She volunteers at the Chesapeake Care Clinic and is a YMCA board member.

I am a native of the Philippines and I have been in Hampton Roads for more than 23 years. Outside of work, I enjoy ballroom dancing, which I am actively involved in. Who knows you might see me on Dancing with the Stars one day! My other hobbies include sewing, crafting, knitting, shopping of course, and spending time with my family.
My name is Ashley, and I was born in New Jersey and raised in Savannah, Georgia. I moved to Virginia Beach in May of 2019 and fell in love with the patients & the team at TCCRD! I completed dental assisting school in December 2018, but my passion for dentistry started from a very young age of 14 after completing Orthodontics.
I love being a dental hygienist because it gives me the opportunity to interact with many different people and develop relationships with my patients. It makes me happy when patients get healthier and feel more confident about their smile!
Karen Forgione has been a practicing dental hygienist since 1988. She is a graduate of Luzerne County Community College, Nanticoke Pennsylvania, with a degree of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. She is also a graduate of the University of Maryland, Dental School, Baltimore Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. Karen has extensive knowledge of general dentistry, as well as the specialty of periodontics. Karen and her husband, Steve, have lived in Chesapeake since 1994. They have one son, Victor. The Forgiones are members of Christian Embassy International Church. They volunteer as greeters and have served many years in childrens ministry. Karen enjoys fitness, nutrition, traveling and spending time with her family.
