Healthcare can be complicated. For us, that complexity was an opportunity to create a different kind of healthcare experience for our patients. Tandem Health not only offers a wide range of affordable services, our healthcare team consists of physicians, dentists and advanced caregivers such as physician assistants, nurse practitioners, pharmacists and educators who focus on keeping the humanity in healthcare.
Tandem Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and accredited patient-centered medical home (PCMH) providing comprehensive, personalized healthcare services to the Sumter community at large regardless of their ability to pay. We are not a free clinic. Rather we offer a sliding fee scale to qualifying patients based on the size of their family and income to improve their access to the high quality healthcare services they deserve. We also accept most insurances, including Medicare and Medicaid, enhancing our ability to care for our local community.

The Tandem Fund was created in 2018 to allow members of our community to contribute financially towards our efforts. Each and every dollar contributed to the Tandem Fund further strengthens our capacity to ensure the delivery of much needed healthcare services to those whom we have been given the opportunity to serve. To that end, it is important for you to know that the intent of the Tandem Fund is not to build wealth for our organization, but rather to establish a solid financial base utilized for the creation, enhancement and enrichment of programs and initiatives that support our patients and the community.
