Dr. Van attended Kansas State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology with an emphasis on microbiology. After graduation, he worked as a microbiologist. Dr. Van then returned to school and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Missouri Kansas City (UMKC) School of Dentistry. Since 2000, he has been providing general dental care to his patients in Blue Springs, MO, Shawnee, KS, and the surrounding communities.
Dr. Gehring received her Bachelor of Science in biology and Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri Kansas City (UMKC) in 1993. In addition to working at Van Dentistry, Dr. Gehring provides dental care to children in the Independence School District with Truman Medical Center via Lakewood's Mobile Dental Unit. She is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the UMKC School of Dentistry.
Dr. Gehring grew up in Independence, MO and currently lives in Grain Valley, MO with her husband, youngest son, two cats, and a dog. She enjoys traveling, music, reading, and NASCAR. In her spare time, she provides support and information to families of children with brachial plexus birth injuries by serving as president of the Midwest Brachial Plexus Network, Inc.
