Dr. Van attended Kansas State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology with an emphasis on microbiology. After graduation, he worked as a microbiologist. Dr. Van then returned to school and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Missouri Kansas City (UMKC) School of Dentistry. Since 2000, he has been providing general dental care to his patients in Blue Springs, MO, Shawnee, KS, and the surrounding communities.
Dr. Gehring received her Bachelor of Science in biology and Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri Kansas City (UMKC) in 1993. In addition to working at Van Dentistry, Dr. Gehring provides dental care to children in the Independence School District with Truman Medical Center via Lakewood's Mobile Dental Unit. She is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the UMKC School of Dentistry.
Dr. Gehring grew up in Independence, MO and currently lives in Grain Valley, MO with her husband, youngest son, two cats, and a dog. She enjoys traveling, music, reading, and NASCAR. In her spare time, she provides support and information to families of children with brachial plexus birth injuries by serving as president of the Midwest Brachial Plexus Network, Inc.

The front desk staff were extremely polite and helpful. Dr. Van was very knowledgeable and kind. My cleaning appointment was thorough and surprisingly pleasant. An all around excellent dentistry, highly recommend.

Dr Van and his staff are really the best. Cleanings, fillings and crowns.. he is very gentle and takes care to make my experience as easy as possible. Highly recommended.

Dr Van and his team are great. If you've been putting off going because you're kinda ansy as I was, this is who you need to have for you're dentist too. This is the first time in my entire life that I can actually say I felt absolutely no pain at the dentist . Great team!!!!
