Dr. Renato Aves performs thousands of tooth extractions each year in his three high tech surgical offices in Tampa Bay and Lakeland. These are located at 7720 W. Waters Ave. in Tampa, 19445 Shumard Oak Dr. in Land OLakes and 3207 S Florida Ave in Lakeland. All of these locations are designed for you comfort and ease of mind. Patients and dentists refer others to Dr. Aves because of his expertise and the expertise and professionalism of his team. They know you will have an optimal experience and the best results. The Sedation options at Tampa Bay Institute of Oral Surgery and Dental Implants also provide the extra measure of comfort that patients desire and make surgical procedures easy for them.

Many times, the patients who come to us for tooth removal are planning to replace the severely damaged tooth with a dental implant, or aware that they may want to have a dental implant in the future. Dr. Aves has vast experience in dental implant treatment, the preparation of bone tissue for dental implants, and the conservation of bone tissue for a future implant. He will discuss with you the advantages of filling the tooth socket with bone grafting material at the time of tooth extraction and you may elect this procedure to also be done.

Our concern is for your oral health and helping you keep as many of your teeth as possible. Dr. Aves does not recommend unnecessary treatment, but if a diseased, damaged, or otherwise undesirable tooth is interfering with your smile, Dr. Aves can help safely and successfully extract itand even prepare the surgical site for a dental implant.

Tampa Implant Oral Surgeon Dr. Renato Aves of the Tampa Bay Institute of Oral Surgery and Dental Implants is a dental implant expert. In the last few decades, dental implants have become the preferred method of tooth replacement among patients and dentists alike. These permanently positioned metal posts will be firmly fixed in your jawbone. Once your bone integrates with the posts, the implants will never slip out of place. Then they can support a custom-crafted restoration. Whether you are missing one tooth or all of them, implants can be a great choice. However, it is vital that you choose a qualified oral surgeon. Dr. Aves is an expert in this advanced treatment. He has undergone years of training focusing on implant placement and other types of oral surgery. He also stays informed about new innovations and restorative materials. His knowledge, coupled with his concern for your comfort, will ensure stress-free care and long-lasting results.

Dental implant placement is safe and involves minimal discomfort. Nevertheless, when you choose an experienced surgeon, your treatment outcome will be more predictable. You will also have a lower risk of implant failure, and your restorations could last a lifetime. Dr. Aves focuses exclusively on oral surgery with a special emphasis on implant placement. After receiving his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, he completed an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Howard University Hospital. Dr. Aves also has a special interest in dental sedation. He is committed to providing minimal-discomfort care for all of his patients.

In some cases, you may require additional treatment along with your implant surgery. Jawbone recession often follows tooth loss. Your dental roots can no longer emit regenerative signals to stimulate new bone growth. With significant tissue loss, you may not have a sturdy base for your implants. Fortunately, Dr. Aves offers bone grafting, sinus lifts, and ridge augmentation. During these procedures, he will use a sample of your own bone or an alternative osseos material to replace lost tissue. In this way, he will rebuild your jaw so that it can support your restoration.

Dr. Aves proudly uses the latest tools for accurate surgery with minimal discomfort. First, he will carefully plan your procedure using state-of-the-art imaging. Our CT and cone beam scanners will generate sharp, three-dimensional images of your entire jaw. In this way, Dr. Aves can check for bone recession, and he can determine the areas of your mouth that are most suitable for implant placement. These tools also generate less radiation than other imaging devices.

To perform the procedure itself, Dr. Aves may utilize innovative Piezosurgery techniques. This method uses 3-D ultrasound waves to remove bone tissue. Therefore, your surgeon can position your implants with no need for noisy, vibrating instruments. Piezosurgery also requires less tissue removal than traditional surgical techniques. In addition, Dr. Aves can use plasma rich in growth factors (PRGF) to speed surgical healing. He will take a sample of your own blood, isolating the PRGF. Then he will apply this natural material to the surgical site. PRGF therapy is a specialized treatment, offered by select surgeons. It can be especially beneficial in conjunction with bone grafting or sinus lifts.

Originally from the Midwest, Dr. Aves received his dental degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1994. Following dental school, he completed a one-year general practice residency (GPR) at the Colmery ONeil VA Hospital in Topeka, Kansas, focusing on Oral Surgery and General Anesthesia.

His rotations included Internal Medicine, ENT, Plastic Surgery, and General Surgeryas well as extensive training in Anesthesiology and Maxillofacial Trauma.

Dr. Aves has been practicing Oral Surgery since 1999, and supporting the Greater Tampa Bay area with a full range of oral surgery services for the last ten years. He founded the Tampa Bay Institute of Oral Surgery and Dental Implants in 2010 and places 100s of dental implants a year with an exceptionally high success rate of 98%.

Never answer the phone . Never return calls , no empathy, typical greedy, entitled, money grubbers that give subject for dentist and doctor jokes . And that's about all they're good for .

Got 6 teeth removed (5 wisdom, one broken tooth) paid the extra for the plasma so my wisdom teeth would heal faster. I followed all the instructions I was given and still got a dry socket, which is fine I get it stuff happens. However I have tried calling 7 times now, only got through once and was told someone would call back which still hasn't happened. They should know better than anyone how badly it hurts to have a dry socket and to ignore their patients is pretty unprofessional in my opinion. Won't be going back or recommending to anyone I know.

I am disabled.... I ended up in the hospital a few days after I went to this place, they told me I had an infection to the bone, also said they cant fully remove my wisdom tooth. I tried asking for antibiotics but they laughed and refused. Then I had to go to a ER..... The ER doctor said I could've died he was extremely flustered and told me to find a new oral surgeon. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! I'd put 0 stars I would.

My daughter had 8 teeth pulled Friday and it is now Sunday and her prescription had not received by her pharmacy. Called the office multiple times and finally got a hold of them. I was told they would send the prescription again hours later and the pharmacy still hasn't received the prescription for the second time. The Post Operative Instructions said to call the surgeon after hours. The doctor said they will send prescription again for the third time( he was short and rude). It is now Sunday and prescription still hasn't not been received by the pharmacy. Left the surgeon voicemail and text messages and not heard from him. Her face is bruised, swollen and she is in pain. I got her over the counter pain medication.

Hey, I'm not the type of person to write a review on Google for any reason. But, I had went there for my consultation & finally a Wisdom Teeth removal. These are the most compassionate & caring individuals. They know their profession, and care for the patients as their priority. After having personal insurance issue w/ my own insurance, Tampa Bay Institute, helped me with resolving what they could. I'm on day 1 of recovery, and about and hour after my surgery, they called me to check up on me. Of course, I couldn't talk, so they passed on helpful info to the one who was taking care of me. Regardless of the long wait time to schedule an consultation, overall the experience was great, professional, caring & friendly. The one I went was at 4714 Armenia Ave Tampa, Fl (I Want to Thank the Staffs, receptionists, assistants, surgeon, etc.) Thank You. Gracias.

This place is absolutely terrible. You can't get ahold of anyone and they will lie and say they faxed your prescriptions in when they haven't even though you had all of your wisdom teeth removed and are in severe pain. DONT come here if you want good customer service. I will never ever come back nor recommend this office to ANYONE.

Since I was a small child I have struggled with significant dental issues. Because of these issues I have had numerous surgeries and other procedures. Many of these surgeries left me in pain and with new dental challenges. As a result, I had developed a relatively significant phobia related to anything dental. This caused significant anxiety every time I had to go back to the dentist's office. Dr. Aves and his team changed all of this. Despite having additional procedures done, I actually felt very comfortable in his office. They helped me overcome the dental anxiety that others simply couldn't. I actually look forward to seeing them each time I go in. They have somehow worked "magic" to create a safe environment for people who fear dental procedures. Not only are they highly competent but they go out of their way to truly connect with their clients. They have become family. They care about me. I am moving back to Chicago now and I know I will be very hard pressed to find another practice like theirs. If you are someone who suffers like myself with dental anxiety, please...please give them a try. It will be an entirely different experience than you have ever had in any other practice.
