Dr. Renato Aves performs thousands of tooth extractions each year in his three high tech surgical offices in Tampa Bay and Lakeland. These are located at 7720 W. Waters Ave. in Tampa, 19445 Shumard Oak Dr. in Land OLakes and 3207 S Florida Ave in Lakeland. All of these locations are designed for you comfort and ease of mind. Patients and dentists refer others to Dr. Aves because of his expertise and the expertise and professionalism of his team. They know you will have an optimal experience and the best results. The Sedation options at Tampa Bay Institute of Oral Surgery and Dental Implants also provide the extra measure of comfort that patients desire and make surgical procedures easy for them.

Many times, the patients who come to us for tooth removal are planning to replace the severely damaged tooth with a dental implant, or aware that they may want to have a dental implant in the future. Dr. Aves has vast experience in dental implant treatment, the preparation of bone tissue for dental implants, and the conservation of bone tissue for a future implant. He will discuss with you the advantages of filling the tooth socket with bone grafting material at the time of tooth extraction and you may elect this procedure to also be done.

Our concern is for your oral health and helping you keep as many of your teeth as possible. Dr. Aves does not recommend unnecessary treatment, but if a diseased, damaged, or otherwise undesirable tooth is interfering with your smile, Dr. Aves can help safely and successfully extract itand even prepare the surgical site for a dental implant.

Tampa Implant Oral Surgeon Dr. Renato Aves of the Tampa Bay Institute of Oral Surgery and Dental Implants is a dental implant expert. In the last few decades, dental implants have become the preferred method of tooth replacement among patients and dentists alike. These permanently positioned metal posts will be firmly fixed in your jawbone. Once your bone integrates with the posts, the implants will never slip out of place. Then they can support a custom-crafted restoration. Whether you are missing one tooth or all of them, implants can be a great choice. However, it is vital that you choose a qualified oral surgeon. Dr. Aves is an expert in this advanced treatment. He has undergone years of training focusing on implant placement and other types of oral surgery. He also stays informed about new innovations and restorative materials. His knowledge, coupled with his concern for your comfort, will ensure stress-free care and long-lasting results.

Dental implant placement is safe and involves minimal discomfort. Nevertheless, when you choose an experienced surgeon, your treatment outcome will be more predictable. You will also have a lower risk of implant failure, and your restorations could last a lifetime. Dr. Aves focuses exclusively on oral surgery with a special emphasis on implant placement. After receiving his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, he completed an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Howard University Hospital. Dr. Aves also has a special interest in dental sedation. He is committed to providing minimal-discomfort care for all of his patients.

In some cases, you may require additional treatment along with your implant surgery. Jawbone recession often follows tooth loss. Your dental roots can no longer emit regenerative signals to stimulate new bone growth. With significant tissue loss, you may not have a sturdy base for your implants. Fortunately, Dr. Aves offers bone grafting, sinus lifts, and ridge augmentation. During these procedures, he will use a sample of your own bone or an alternative osseos material to replace lost tissue. In this way, he will rebuild your jaw so that it can support your restoration.

Dr. Aves proudly uses the latest tools for accurate surgery with minimal discomfort. First, he will carefully plan your procedure using state-of-the-art imaging. Our CT and cone beam scanners will generate sharp, three-dimensional images of your entire jaw. In this way, Dr. Aves can check for bone recession, and he can determine the areas of your mouth that are most suitable for implant placement. These tools also generate less radiation than other imaging devices.

To perform the procedure itself, Dr. Aves may utilize innovative Piezosurgery techniques. This method uses 3-D ultrasound waves to remove bone tissue. Therefore, your surgeon can position your implants with no need for noisy, vibrating instruments. Piezosurgery also requires less tissue removal than traditional surgical techniques. In addition, Dr. Aves can use plasma rich in growth factors (PRGF) to speed surgical healing. He will take a sample of your own blood, isolating the PRGF. Then he will apply this natural material to the surgical site. PRGF therapy is a specialized treatment, offered by select surgeons. It can be especially beneficial in conjunction with bone grafting or sinus lifts.

Originally from the Midwest, Dr. Aves received his dental degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1994. Following dental school, he completed a one-year general practice residency (GPR) at the Colmery ONeil VA Hospital in Topeka, Kansas, focusing on Oral Surgery and General Anesthesia.

His rotations included Internal Medicine, ENT, Plastic Surgery, and General Surgeryas well as extensive training in Anesthesiology and Maxillofacial Trauma.

Dr. Aves has been practicing Oral Surgery since 1999, and supporting the Greater Tampa Bay area with a full range of oral surgery services for the last ten years. He founded the Tampa Bay Institute of Oral Surgery and Dental Implants in 2010 and places 100s of dental implants a year with an exceptionally high success rate of 98%.

My daughter had a wonderful experience from start to finish. While we were referred to an endodontist, I appreciated the constant texting communication to get her on the cancelation list so we didn't have to wait until end of year. Very pleasant, helpful office while still being direct for max time management. Huge THANKS!

Was very unhappy with this facility. They scheduled my daughter and appointment and after I kept her home from school and sat in the office for 45 minutes they told me that because my daughter's pediatrician would not give clearance for oral surgery they would not see her even though we got clearance from her cardiologist. They said their doctor refuses to see her regardless is cardiology cleared her. No other oral surgeon in the area takes her insurance and they refuse to help her get her wisdom teeth removed. Staff was rude and unprofessional.

Unfortunately I can only give 2 stars at this time. . . I took my son there Feb 3 2022. Was told they could extract his 2 bottom wisdom teeth ANYTIME just give them a call to schedule. Well I've been leaving messages every few WEEKS and never get a response. I hope everything is OK THERE! I always leave our name number and his DOB and date of exam as well as need for scheduling extractions of wisdom teeth very odd!! Be nice to get my kid out of pain!they are the only place that his insurance uses!

I called to schedule a service, and after the rude receptionist hung up on me twice I went somewhere else. They're booked for 3-4 months out.

Very kind and friendly staff. My dental situation took away a lot of my confidence for many years , but they treated me with such amazing care and made me feel comforted and at ease. For any young person that has had their smile taken away from them because of their teeth being treated so kindly means more than people understand. I look forward to getting my smile back very soon.

Dr Elmohd, Jackie, and the entire staff made sure to provide quality care and make sure that I felt comfortable through my entire procedure as I decided to be awake during my wisdom teeth removal. I honestly do not understand the some of the bad reviews because my experience was wonderful from start to finish. Thank you all.

My son and I visited Dr. Caribas last week for a consultation and had an outstanding experience! Annette at the front desk was super nice and welcoming. Jackie was our assistant and she was wonderful! Both Dr. Caribas and Jackie were friendly, knowledgeable and the examination was thorough. Cannot express how thankful we are for the office being so accommodating to our needs. Working in the dental field myself I felt at ease and comfortable with the recommendations. We will be scheduling his procedure soon. I have full confidence it will all go well.

Happened so fast, I didn't even know it happened. But I'm all seriousness, they took excellent care of me and I didn't have to wait long to get my 2 bottom wisdom teeth removed! Swelling is minimal, thank god! They gave me the opportunity to get it done earlier than originally scheduled, but I had to decline. Very professional practice! Definitely recommending

Well all I can say is they earned a . I had to go here for a surgical extraction due to tooth wrapped around the nerve. Once I was set up and numb. The dentist took lest than a minute to extract my tooth. He was Soo awesome. I had to ask if he really took it out. I asked for proof lol The staff is so friendly and caring. Very little pain after.

Awful!! :-( The oral surgeon seemed to be in a hurry and did not wait a full 15 minutes for the novocaine to take effect. I felt everything as a fractured tooth root was extracted from my gums. Needless to say, I DO NOT RECOMMEND!
