Dr. C. Edgar Davila is a board certified prosthodontist originally trained in Lima, Peru, at Cayetano Heredia Peruvian University. He is a graduate of the University OfLouisville School Of Dentistry where he completed his Prosthodontic Residency and a MS Degree in Oral Biology. He also completed an AEGD Program at the University of Rochester Eastman Dental Center in New York. He finally completed a Maxillofacial Prosthetics Fellowship at the Univ. of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center . He is a former maxillofacial prosthodontist at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center , former Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida College of Medicine and Past President of the Florida Prosthodontic Association. He presently serves as a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Florida College of Dentistry Graduate Prosthodontic Program. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology and Implant Dentistry, Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists, Fellow of the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics, and Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He is also a Certified Dental Technician (CDT). He maintains a private practice dedicated to Prosthodontics and Implantology in Tampa, Florida and maintains a full service dental laboratory.
Dr. Ruso was born and raised in Tampa not far from the practice, and is an alumnus of Hillsborough High School. He graduated with honors from the University of Florida with a degree in psychology, where he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society and the Golden Key International Honor Society. After, he earned his doctorate in dental surgery from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he graduated with honors, and was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
After dental school, he continued his education at the Baylor College of Dentistry where he earned a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology and received his Certificate in Orthodontics. In 2012, the American Board of Orthodontics certified Dr. Ruso with diplomate status. Dr. Ruso has published several articles on accelerated orthodontic treatment, and is on staff at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg as a member of the of the Craniofacial and Cleft Palate Team.
As a board certified orthodontist, Dr. Ruso seeks to treat every patient to the highest standard of care and maintain a culture of excellence at the practice. With the latest advances, orthodontic care is now more efficient and comfortable than ever. Orthodontics also has the ability to improve ones facial esthetics, airway/breathing, and function. All of these factors will be considered when designing your treatment.
Dr. Ruso is married to his beautiful wife Geri, who teaches 5th grade at a local elementary school. Together, they are happy to call Tampa home. Outside of the office he enjoys spending time with his hilarious dogs, as well as fishing, hiking, and Gator sports.
Dr. Ramon Ortiz has served the dental profession for more than 46 years with a consistent commitment to enhancing the image of general dentistry through his continuous delivery of quality services as a solo dental practitioner in private practice.
He has demonstrated consistent leadership in areas of civic involvement through his pro bono service with the Gulf Outreach Dental Group and his participation in the 2014/2018 FDA Mission of Mercy events in Florida. Dr. Ortiz maintains multiple professional active memberships in the ADA, AGD, FDA, WCDA, TBAGD, PCDA, Florida Prosthodontist Association, Academy of Laser Dentistry and numerous study clubs. To attest Dr. Ortizs passion for dentistry, the FL Academy of General Dentistry recently bestowed him recipient of the 2017 J. Frank Collins Lifetime Achievement Award.

I got 2 extractions at Tampa Advanced Dental Solutions and although I was nervous ,the assistants and the doctor made me feel at ease, they treated me with so much care from beginning to end. All the staff was professional and kind ,Dr.Davila even called to check and see how I was doing after my extractions. I highly recommend Tampa Advanced Dental Solutions to anyone.

I made an appt for a root canal on a previously crowned tooth. Waited 4 hours, they said we don't do that, charged me 100$ and sent me elsewhere.

This office staff and team is the worst they fabricate everything the way they want to. They have hung up on me multiple times and they refuse to know the actual truth. Instead they spin and and fabricate what they and they want to say which is a fabrication of what actually took place. I wouldn't send any one there look for someone else. BY FAR THE WORST

People complain about the amount of time you wait to be seen but being in the medical field it is to be expected. There are times that one patient can take longer than an other but as long as the care is exceptional the waiting time for me is the least to complain about. With that being said kudos to Tampa Advanced Dental

Waiting time to be seeing by the Dental Hygienist can be over an hour which set my personal schedule way off. Unacceptable because they made you reschedule if you arrive 10-15 minutes late! Ridiculous.

I have a very rare Lymphoma that requires a Stem Cell Transplant. Before going into SCT at Moffitt my mouth and teeth are required to be clean and free of any infection In my case it requires several extractions. When I called and the Office Manager told me what paperwork they needed from Moffitt Cancer Center I knew after having called so many other Dentists on the list that I had made the correct call. Drs. Davilla and Carribas instilled full confidence in me in their knowledge of the requirements and would not proceed without the proper ok's from the BMT Clinic at Moffitt. Dr. Davilla was in Head and Neck Cancers at Moffitt at some point in his work. He described the Stem Cell Transplant in detail exactly as my BMT Dr. at Moffitt described it. The wait times can be long but there is a reason. I had the most thorough dental exam I have had in 62 years of life. I have no fear of dentists. I simply had put off work while raising a family and dealing with my medical issues. Dr. Davilla instilled such confidence that I can say that he and Dr. Carbbas will be performing my dental work for the rest of my life so long as they are there! Many thanks for helping me on price but that was not the deciding factor in any way. It was the competence of the entire staff. They know their art!

I had a multitude of poor experiences and decided to get care elsewhere. The office is disorganized and communication is poor. Staff don't introduce themselves when they come in the exam room, so I had no idea who was treating me or what role/qualifications they had. I don't feel they explained much to me. During my last appointment, I sat in the chair for over 4 hours, most of which was waiting for the orthodontist because the dentist left. I was surprised by how poor my experience was because of the great online reputation. Maybe they have a lot of new staff still in training? Regardless, I'm much happier with my new dentist. They introduce themselves, they explain what they're going to do next, they don't make me wait hours in the exam room, and they don't expect upfront payment for things they may not end up doing.

Continually have long waits. Today appointment they called me at work to say they had a cancellation. I left work early and sat in waiting room until after my original scheduled appointment. I like Dr. Davila but I this is unacceptable . I have been thinking about changing for these reasons. I think this will help make my decision . Lisa Simpson

I'm 69 years old have been to many doctors I have never had one call me to check on me. Dr Christian did he and his staff are the best! If I lived in the Tampa area I would try to be his buddy. No other Dr would ever look in my mouth again but him. Only thing they need to work on is answering the phone. And could use a little help with billing.

My husband has been seeing Dr Davilla for a couple of years now. We live 2.5 hours away. He would not go anywhere else. He trusts Dr Davilla for all his dental work after his cancer treatment. Dr Davilla and his staff are respectful and extremely professional. This is the best place for dental work without question. We highly recommend his dental practice. We have read a couple of the negative reviews. Since my husband has been going here over 2 years now. We have not witnessed any of the issues that some of the people are complaining about. We have been treated with nothing but respect. His whole staff is awesome!!!!
