Dr. Tammy Tran graduated from Case Western Reserve University, School of Dentistry in 2001 with a Dean's Award for Clinical Excellence. She went on perfecting her skills with one year of Residency in AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry at UCLA School of Dentistry and Center for Health Sciences).
Dr. Tran is a Family Dentist, experienced in treating both children and adults. She believes in preventive and conservative dentistry, helping people to keep their teeth healthy for life. At Tammy N. Tran, DDS, we provide clear braces throughout the Long Beach area. Straight teeth are important for your overall oral health. We understand that while many people want to have straighter teeth, many teens and adults are uncomfortable with the traditional metal braces on their teeth for more than one year. While they are not as discreet as people wish, metal braces are an effective tool for straightening teeth. The procedure works by placing a metal bracket onto the surface of each tooth and running a wire through those brackets. It is impossible not to notice when someone is wearing traditional metal braces. While the treatment works, it can also negatively impact a persons' appearance while doing so. This has led many people to seek out a better option, one that we provide.
At Tammy N. Tran, DDS, we offer clear alternatives for adults and teens the greater Long Beach area. We can straighten teeth and move them into the perfect position so the patient has a beautiful and radiant straight smile. If you have crooked teeth, unsightly gaps between your teeth or a misaligned bite, then we can help to correct these issues and more. Clear braces work just as effectively as metal braces but with some major improvements. Clear braces are much more difficult to notice, making them ideal for busy professionals, teens and those that do not want to negatively impact their current appearance during the process.
There are several types of clear and barely visible options to choose. One operates similarly to traditional metal braces where we place a bracket onto each tooth and thread a wire between the brackets. The difference is that instead of being made out of metal, the brackets for clear braces consists of a tooth-colored resin that blends in with the natural tooth. The wire is also tooth-colored so that the braces themselves are almost invisible and difficult to see. We find that this solution works well for teens and adults that are able to practice proper dental hygiene with the clear braces. Otherwise, food can stain the brackets. This solution is an excellent alternative to traditional braces and is just as effective at addressing all oral health concerns.
Clear braces also come in the form of aligners. Clear aligners look like a full retainer that surrounds the teeth and are worn on the upper and lower teeth. Aligners are more convenient to wear than metal braces since patients can remove them when necessary. One of the major concerns that people have with wearing braces is that they do not come off until the treatment is complete. If, for example, you get braces then decide to get married, you will either have braces in your wedding pictures or need to pay to remove them and reinstall them after. Simultaneously, if you have a big presentation at work and want to impress a client, your braces cannot come off for the meeting. This leaves many adults apprehensive about committing to a two-year treatment plan. We understand that appearance is important for more than vanity. Very bad/rude customer service from receptionist and office manager. Made us waste time going and calling the office and everyone that answers the phone gives different information. I use to bring my daughters here and never had any issues now that all the staff has changed I will no longer be recommending them. Customer service is the face of all businesses and can make a huge difference in someone's experience. Very disappointed.

If I could give more stars for this office I would because I had a very pleasant experience visit yesterday. The staffs are amazing and welcoming. I also want to give a shout-out to the hygienist, Donta, for doing an excellent work. He is very skillful and gentle while cleaning my teeth. I could feel every single tooth was thoroughly cleaned. Thank you and kudos to Dr Tran as well.

Use to like coming here got a crazy quote for a few procedures and decided to go somewhere else. Saved nearly 2k avoid this office. Staff was always friendly thou . Reply Not what you said when I was in office. You still quoted me 2500 out of pocket split between 2021 and 2022. Please avoid this office if they are gonna lie like this. Also great and welcoming staff no problems with them.

I was lucky enough to find Dr Tran when I was dealing with excruciating pain from a cavity. I called and was able to book a consultation where she explained to me what was going on and where the pain came from. She even showed me pictures. I told her I needed to get it fixed ASAP or else I wouldn't be able to eat. She worked through her lunch to fill my cavity!! I was and still am so grateful. The best thing about Dr Tran is she makes numbing shots painless! And I'm the worst with shots and/or needles. She always makes me feel comfortable. I used to hate going to the dentist and she makes it bearable. And front staff is just as great!

The dentist office is very clean, bright, and comfortable with wonderful receptionist who are very professional and friendly. When I went to the dentist the first time, the assistant who took me to my seat in the back was very friendly and calmed me down since I get very nervous at the dentist. Dr. Tran was amazing and very informative about everything that I could do about my teeth. She understands that people are not always fans of going to the dentist and is very patient. When she said that I would need a root canal and crown she referred me to a great place for the root canal since she is only able to do the crown work and calmed me down since I was nervous. Everything went great when I got back to her office and her work is the best I have had at a dental office. The staff recognize me and know who I am, even though I have not been there long, and it is a very welcoming experience. I will not be going to any other dentist office but this one.
