Dr. Marci Beck chose to become a dentist because she wanted to help people with their oral health and establish long-term relationships based on trust and respect. Dr. Beck has made a lifelong commitment to further her knowledge and understanding of dentistry. Staying abreast of the latest developments in techniques and technologies enables her to deliver the best possible care to her patients. Sinceshe studies widely within the field, Dr. Beck is able to offer her patients a broad range of treatment options for their care, to ensure they have access to the right treatment that will create the best results.

For the past 20years, Dr. Beck has studied and taught at the prestigious Spear Center for Advanced Dental Education in Scottsdale, Arizona. She concentrated on curricula involving aesthetics, occlusion, and implant and restorative dentistry. After finishing a five-year continuum, she was awarded a Mastership by the Academy of General Dentistry. She has recently received the Lifelong Learning and Service Award from the same organization.

Dr. Beck is also a guest lecturer at the University of Florida, Florida State University, and Tallahassee Community College. She was the first and remains the only forensic odontologist in the multi-county region.

Although she was born in Philadelphia, Tallahassee has been Dr. Becks home for more than 40years. Her husband, Dr. Glenn Beck, is not only her best friend but her business partner and colleague. They have three children: Amelia, David, and Dr. Brian Beck, who also practices dentistry at Smiles by Beck.

Dr. Beck loves the beauty of nature and exercising, preferably at the same time. Traveling is a particular passion of hers. She likes to explore beautiful parts of the world where she can hike, bike, raft, and scuba dive. She also enjoys golfing, boating, yoga, and working out at the gym.

Giving back to the community is a strong personal mission for Dr. Beck. She especially enjoys encouraging young professionals to seek a career helping others in dentistry. In 2005, Dr. Beck started the Smiles by Beck Scholarship, which is awarded to three students each year at Tallahassee Community College.

Dr. Glenn Beck has been practicing restorativedentistry for more than 30 years. Having grown up in a family of dentists, including his father and two uncles, his exposure to the field and the positive changes it can make in the lives of others was an inspiration. Dr. Beck enjoys the challenges of creating personalized treatment plans for each patient and finding the solutions that are right for their unique needs based on their clinical requirements, lifestyle, and goals.

As a result of the time Dr. Beck spends getting to know each patient, he builds strong connections with them, and over time those connections become friendships. Known for being a compassionate dentist, Dr. Beck listens to and engages with each person: enjoying the conversations and learning from every exchange. The new things he learns every day from his patients are what make him eager to come to the office in the morning.

Dr. Beck believes it is important to pursue continuing education. Constant advancements in technology and treatment methodologies makethe dental profession continuously evolving. By staying abreast of developments in restorative material and dental research, Dr. Beck is able to deliver the highest quality of dental services to his patients.

Dr. Beck is a Faculty Club Member of the prestigious Spear Institute for Advanced Dental Education in Scottsdale, Arizona, as well as a member of several local and regional study clubs. He also participates in multiple continuing education courses throughout the year.

Dr. Beck is a native of Tallahassee. Along with his wife and practice partner, Dr. Marci Beck, hes raised their three children in the city. Their children are: Amelia, David, and Dr. Brian Beck who also practices dentistry at Smiles by Beck.

Time with his family is important to Dr. Beck, as is being outdoors and participating in sporting activities. His current hobbies include golf and tennis, boating, hiking, biking, scuba diving, and yoga. Delving into a good book is also enjoyed.

Giving back to the community is a part of Dr. Becks identity. The practice sponsors an annual scholarship for dental hygiene and dental assistant students at the local community college. The practice also supports many charities in the community, and over the years has mentored countless pre-dental students, showing them how a practice operates and giving them a sense of what to expect when they enter the profession.

Born and raised in Tallahassee, Dr. Beck left to pursue his education and then returned and joined his parents, Dr. Marci Beck and Dr. Glenn Beck, in the Tallahasee Dental Associates dental practice. Dr. Beck loves Tallahassee and its residents. Outside of the office, you will find Dr. Beck spending time with his lovely wife and their young yellow Labrador Retrievers, Buster and Chester. He is an avid sports fan and especially enjoys playing tennis and golf.

Giving back to the community is one of Dr. Becks passions. Hes actively involved with the We Care Dental Network, through whichhe is able to deliver state-of-the-art dental treatment to the underserved in our community at no cost to them. Since so many of these patients seek treatment for severe dental pain, Dr. Beck is able to use his knowledge and skills to get them out of pain, thereby enhancing their quality of life.

Dr. Julie Bailey has enjoyed practicing dentistry for more than a decade.She became a dentist in order to provide care for people in pain and to help those who are afraid of dental work. Dr. Bailey enjoys the challenge of everyday procedures and doing themin the most efficient manner.

She was raised in Tallahassee, where she grew up as a patient in the Smiles by Beck practice. After attending college and then practicing dentistry in Jacksonville for many years, she was happy to move back home where she loves being close to family and friends.

Dr. Bailey has continuously expanded her knowledge of dental topics over the years. She has attended the annual Hinman Dental Meeting for many years and taken courses in occlusion, treatment for the worn dentition, implant treatment and planning, and restorative dentistry. Dr. Bailey is a provider of Invisalign and loves transforming smiles. She loves learning new techniques and bringing those ideas chairside to create more efficient procedures and better restorations for her patients.

She loves domestic activities such as creating family photo albums, chasing her kids around, and trying new Pinterest recipes. You can find her outdoors on weekends where she enjoys dining out, especially for sushi, and frequenting outdoor festivals and markets.Volunteering in the community is another pastime, as well as supporting the Arts.
