At Taft Hill Orthodontics in Fort Collins, we strive to provide our patients with personalized treatments based on their individual goals. In addition, our orthodontic assistants and treatment coordinator works with Dr. Hardy to create a warm and relaxed atmosphere where you can trust you are receiving the quality of care you deserve.
Though many orthodontists begin treatment with children when they only have a few adult teeth, only certain cases require treatment this early. Research has shown that it is usually not needed. While early treatment may improve the aesthetics of a young childs smile, most young children will require a second round of braces once they have acquired all of their adult teeth. Dr. T.C. Hardy maintains a conservative approach to orthodontic treatment, aiming to save you and your children unnecessary dental work and the associated time and costs. Using a conservative approach, most of Dr. Hardys patients need only one phase of braces and the entire treatment is typically completed within two years.
Although he employs a conservative approach, Dr. Hardy is a Fort Collins orthodontist that also believes in the importance of bringing your child to an orthodontist at an early age (age 7) to ensure there are no severe dental issues that could be more easily resolved with early treatment. Early treatment can be beneficial and/or necessary for some young patients, but most children will not require braces until around age 11. This conservative approach saves our patients (and their parents) time, hassle, and unnecessary expenses.
We believe that choosing a specialist is one of the most important steps in achieving the beautiful smile you desire. Different orthodontists use different approaches for straightening teeth and optimizing oral health, and Dr. Hardy focuses on the overall aesthetics of the face not just the teeth. Taft Hill Orthodontics in Fort Collins offers a variety of braces options for both adult and children including traditional braces for children, ceramic braces, and Invisalign and prioritizes patient education so the patients themselves can make the final decisions regarding their orthodontic care. In addition, Dr. Hardy specializes in working with children and teens to make orthodontic treatment as comfortable and convenient as possible for our young patients.
After graduating with his BS in Engineering from Tufts University, Dr. T.C. Hardy earned his dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He went on to receive his Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) from Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY before returning to Tufts University where he completed his Certificate of Orthodontics and served as the President of his graduating class.
Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, Dr. Hardy is the recipient of The Everett Shapiro Award in Orthodontics, as well as the Dr. Harold Berk Endowed Prize Fund for Excellence in Research. He has published and presented his research both nationally and internationally.

Customer service is horrific. Walk in with no greeting. Every time. Staff late from lunch breaks. No calls to let you know they have cancelled an appointment. Poor communication, apathetic attitudes. Taking my kid somewhere else from now on. Dismal understanding of little kids. It was like a huge ask for them to even take time to explain procedures to my kid. Stark decor. Depressing. Taking our braces bucks elsewhere, thanks.

Very friendly and welcoming office! They explain things clearly and simply and offer all options. They treat kids with kindness and respect and are very good at answering kids questions and calming their fears! I would highly recommend!

I'm grateful I was able to locate this office. Dr. Hardy has excellent bedside manners. I'd heard good things about invisalign clear aligners and wanted to learn more. I was ready to have them after my consultation so I could improve my smile and teeth gap. Even though I had so many questions concerning the treatment, Dr. Hardy was patient with me. They're a wonderful provider of invisalign in fort collins

My seemingly never-ending search for a wonderful office that provides invisalign near me finally has come to an end! I have overbite and I wanted it to get fixed but in a less conspicuous way so I opted for invisalign. Thankfully during my initial consultation, invisalign aligners were possible for my current dental condition. Aside from the skilled orthodontist and competent staff, their customer service is exceptional. The price is quite reasonable and I can't wait to see the results!

Dr. Hardy is a skilled orthodontist and the rest of the team were fantastic to work with. My first consultation was quite satisfying, and it was a great experience for me. Last year, I was browsing the internet and looking for a skilled orthodontist near me. I saw Taft Hill Orthodontics and I decided to try them. THO's staff is courteous and answer any questions I have in an easy-to-understand manner. My overbite is a bit severe but the orthodontist makes sure I'm comfortable and understand what's going on throughout my treatment. The cost is reasonable too. I'm looking forward to getting my braces off and see the results.
