Upon the recommendation of my dentist I met Dr. Jacks to preform a implant procedure. Dr. Jacks took the time to explain the process and answered all my questions. He did a outstanding job on #15. Virtually no pain. His staff is awesome too. I feel we're so fortunate to have him practicing in our area. Thank you so much to Dr.Jacks and his staff for making my experience so comfortable.

Dr Matthew Jack's was highly recommended by my dentist for a titanium implant. When I met for a consultation he was more than willing to answer any questions and ease the anxiety I had. I was under the impression that I would be completely sedated before the procedure and walked into my appointment fairly confident. I was told that there had been some questions about what was being done and they might have to reschedule because I had eaten breakfast. They gave me the option of nitrous oxide with a local or reschedule. I broke into a full sweat, my blood pressure increased dramatically and I was in a full panic attack. I was already there so I took that leap of faith. Dr. Jack eased all my worries with his fabulous bedside manner, calm voice and even a song!!! He made me feel comfortable and confident that I was in good hands. Thank you Dr.Jacks!!! PS the flowers made my day!

We only had a consultation. Numerous things went wrong, but I will just speak on the main one. My son has a bleeding disorder and needs procedures done at the hospital. Dr. Jack's decided that he knew better, based on what happened with his prior tooth extraction, that the hospital wasn't necessary. He repeatedly stated that the procedure was the same and that he could do anything my son needed in his office that he could get in the hospital. He asked all the questions that might prove why he didn't need to be there, and even stated that he had patients who had bled worse who did fine in his office. However, he never asked WHY he had been in the hospital in the 1st place. He told me it was a shame that the prior surgeon led me to believe that my son needed to be in the hospital for the procedure, and he said this 2 or 3 times. This simply was a lie. The truth is the prior surgeon asked the hematologist for any precautions, and she told him to do it at the hospital, so he did. I just couldn't believe that, as new clients, we were being spoken to like this, and I knew there was no way I could trust him to do any procedure on my son after this, especially after he would find out from our hematologist that he would not be allowed to do his procedure at his office. I don't doubt that others have had great experiences with him, but ours was the complete opposite. And as someone in the medical field who used to work upstairs from him, I would be fired for talking to patients like that.

When I was a kid I ignored the health of my teeth despite loud and frequent maternal advice. I continued this neglect until I was 22 years old. Despite a new devotion to oral care, much damage had been done. Over the decades, as wanderlust found me in various cities, I have been fortunate to put my teeth into the hands of a succession of fine dentists. Many drillings, fillings, crowns and one bridge later my teeth were apparently out of danger...but for one problem. My lower third molars, "wisdom", instead of growing up, grew sideways. The right side was a real problem, threatening to slowly destroy the bridge one doctor had worked so hard to install. The dentist that built this bridge was accustomed to major reconstruction, having begun his career rebuilding the mouths of soldiers wounded in Viet Nam. I was sad when told his bridgework would have to go. This would entail removing the right lower second molar, the main bridge anchor. That would require refitting my gum with a new second molar so that I could chew normally. The situation led me to oral surgeon Dr. T. Matthew Jacks in Springfield. Dr. Jacks was cool, confident and clearly enjoyed fully explaining the procedure and answered all my questions easily and completely. His staff was professional but at ease and comfortably pleasant. His equipment was of the newest sort, involving scans that reproduce oral/facial features perfectly in exquisite holographs as well as other tools I cannot even explain. Only after two visits did I learn that he had initially practiced his art by reconstructing the mouths of soldiers wounded in the Middle East. He even served a stint as a physician at the White House. Now, it's a sorry thing that some of our most brilliant doctors are perfecting their skills in our many wars but it is undeniable that they are excellent proving grounds. The southern Willamette Valley is VERY fortunate to have Dr. Jacks. Readers are encouraged to take their dental miseries to him in total confidence that a finer oral surgeon cannot be found.

Highly recommend him for any extractions or impacted wisdom tooth extractions. I had my general dentist do one of my extractions and took about 40 mins, but this guy did this complicated impacted tooth in 5 mins after I was numb. It was fantastic. And the recovery was only 2 days for me. Obviously that depends on you. But he is very good and efficient and the this company has amazing customer service, they provided me a blanket and even music.

Dr. Jacks was over and beyond wonderful and efficient in every way! I read all the previous reviews and totally agree with every 5 star rating that was submitted! Of course, the most important factor was the perfection of the procedure (extraction and implant). His pleasant, relaxed attitude, reassurance and willingness to explain everything, as well as the warmth and friendliness of his assistants contributed immensely to my comfort. I wholeheartedly refer him to others. So thankful that my doctor referred me here for my extraction and implant!

I'm close to the end of a long process of getting an implant of a back upper tooth. It included extraction, sinus lift, and bone grafting along the way. Dr. Jacks thoroughly explained the entire process while looking at a 3D image of my mouth. At the interim appointments, I appreciated the transparent information, professionalism, and pleasant atmosphere he and his entire staff provided. I look forward to my final appointment with my "forever tooth."

Dr. Jacks extracted my broken tooth and, when the extraction site healed, placed an implant to begin the restoration of the lost tooth. Dr. Jacks demonstrated his superior knowledge, skills, and abilities in making this restoration comfortable and complication free. The explanations of the procedures and expected outcomes provided by Dr. Jacks and the staff members at each step allowed me to participate fully in the process of restoring my lost tooth. I recommend Dr. Jacks without reservation.

I was referred here to get my wisdom teeth removed and the office never scheduled for me to have the procedure done. I called and left several messages and even made sure the referral went through. No call back or even someone to answer the phone.

The procedure went better than I had even thought possible. Very happy with everything about it. Dr. Jacks has a way of giving shots that is superior to anything I have experienced in the past. Five star or more if possible.

Dr. Jacks completed corrective jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery) for my wife recently and did an amazing job. It's not something every oral surgeon would (or should) take on. We're lucky to have someone with his skill and experience in Eugene. His team is friendly and he always makes sure all our questions are answered. Highly recommend!

Don't believe the 5 star reviews, they are probably fake, because this office has no courtesy.

Tooth pulled, implant in place. Dr. Jacks and staff are truly professionals and expert at what they do. In and out with no pain, no blood. I don't have insurance and found their prices reasonable for the work I had done.
