A Jesuit High School graduate, Dr. Damon Szymanowski earned a degree in integrative biology from the University of California, Berkeley. During this time, he spent most of his free time in the swimming pool as a four-year Letterman on the Division I Mens swim team.
Taking a special interest in human anatomy, he was asked to become a gross anatomy tutor for the students in the dental program. In his four years at Tufts University, Dr. Damon Szymanowski met many life-long friends and colleagues, including a very special friendhis wife Alison.
At this illustrious Ivy league university, Dr. Damon Szymanowski was most fortunate to learn orthodontics under the guidance of Dr. Robert Slick Vanarsdale, a well-respected leader in orthodontics and periodontics worldwide. (This is the man who wrote the book on orthodontics!)
Since completing his orthodontic training in 2005, Dr. Damon Szymanowski has had the opportunity to practice with several outstanding orthodontists, including Dr. Martin Van Vliet in New York and Dr. Peter Worth in Roseville.
The Szymanowski name has been well known within the local dental community for more than 40 years. Dr. Szymanowskis father, Cas, first opened his periodontic practice in 1970, and Dr. Szymanowskis brother, Jonathan, joined the practice in 2001.
Our team is committed to expanding our knowledge and skills through continuing education in the most current advances in orthodontic technology and practices. This is a team of superheroes, orthodontic avengers dedicated to quality and compassion.
Outside the office, you'll find her listening to true crime podcasts or getting crafty with her Cricut. She also enjoys spending time with her family and it's no secret that she is obsessed with her two adorable rescue pups, Piper and Vinnie.
She moved here from San Diego but is still a beach girl at heart. She loves boating, scootering, and being with friends and family (including her wiener dog Stumpy). She is always on the go traveling to any new place with her fiance.

I just finished my treatment and every appointment I was greeted by friendly staff at the front desk and knowledgeable and professional staff who helped me with my treatment process. From the very first day to the very last, we have had amazing service each visit! All staff from from desk to the medical team are informative and provide the best customer service. We always felt comfortable and heard through out the process. Dr. Szymanowski provided quality attention to my sons teeth and needs for each visit and seems to keep his staff happy! My husband is next and we will continue referring people. We are so grateful for the experience!

Highly Recommend 15/10!!! I have been through two sets of braces over a 5 year span growing up and was never completely satisfied with my final results. I came to Dr. Szymanowski in hopes of fulfilling my perfect smile dream and he did just that!! I finally finished my Invisalign treatment and would do it again in heartbeat. The entire staff always fill the office with such great energy, positivity and are so accommodating. I recommend Szymanowski Orthodontics to anyone looking for an amazing experience! Emily is finally done !!!! We started with Dr. Damon 10 years ago. 2 phases and 1 orthognathic procedure later and she is done. I know she will miss the office and seeing everyone there as they were like family, but I know she is so happy with her smile and bite. Couldn't be more grateful for the care she was given. We have been going to Dr. Szymanowski's office for our children for eight years. My daughter had significant issues and now has an incredible smile, mouth, jaw, etc. My son's is equally amazing. We have been given the greatest care and frankly I cannot think of a better investment that we have made for our children's future well being! Many, many thanks to this incredible doctor and staff!

From the first phone call, I was able to fully see how incredible this office is. It seems their Dr treats them well. When you walk inside, you are greeted with the most beautiful smiles. I was so impressed with Grace at the front desk. She remembered something really important to me. When she had asked about it, my heart melted. They had a newer assistant in the back, she mentioned she had been apart of their team for about 3 months and she was loving every moment. She was so kind and informed my daughter of every step along the way of getting her braces on. Dr. Szymanowski is always so thoughtful. He is such a busy man but makes you his top priority when you are in the chair. This office makes treatment fun. My daughter enjoys going to her appointments. We recommend this office to absolutely anyone looking for orthodontic treatment. We appreciate you all so much!!

We love this office. The process has been so easy from start to finish. We have just finished a year of braces and now we are on to retainers. Everyone is so friendly and inviting. My daughter feels so important and acknowledge when we go in for our appointments. The points system is so fun and helpful to get kids to comply. I can not recommend this office enough!

Dr. Szymanowski is so good that we travel from Elk Grove to his office in Sacramento, about a 45 minute drive each way. Why? Let me bullet point some of the AMAZING things about this office: - EVERYONE is a professional. - EVERYONE in the office is always smiling and in a good mood. EVERYONE. - Dr. Szymanowski is professional and is amazing with kids. - Dr. Szymanowski has a great sense of humor and likes to put his patients in a good mood. He succeeds every time, whether an adult or child. - The front staff is courteous and very quick. Scheduling your next appointment is always easy and they're very helpful. - The orthodontic staff are highly professional, very skilled, all are certified, and all are really good at what they do. - They have fun office days for the staff, and you can see that if you're lucky enough to be scheduled on one of them. - Dr. Szymanowski keeps his staff trained in the latest technologies and techniques on a very regular basis. His entire staff. All of them. Rest assured, they know what they're doing. - Dr. Szymanowski really values his staff, both professionally and personally, which tells you a lot about him. All three of our kids have been here. I highly encourage anyone looking for orthodontic work to at least call or visit and ask questions. I'm sure you'll be happy to have your work done there!

The experience I have had at Dr. Damon's office has been a FANTASTIC one. For Halloween they all dress up. They bring the candy party wagon when you get your braces off. It's a fun experience for kids and adults. The staff is very kind and professional.

Love this office and the staff. My daughter had to have upper and lower jaw surgery. Can I say OMG of how her teeth and smile came out. I'm glad I picked this office to take our 3 year journey with. Would recommend them for any of your orthodontics needs.

We were very happy with our 9 year old child's phase 1 braces experience. We would have preferred the same tech or two each time instead of rotating through everyone. You can request the same tech, but we didn't find that out until our child's second to last appointment.
