Dr. Sara Bonacci ('Dr. Sara') has a diverse background. She has a great deal of experience working in educational and clinical settings. Dr. Sara has helped prepare dental residents for 'Real World' practice, and taught numerous dentists during their first year out of dental school in a hospital environment. Dr. Sara has a passion for oral surgery and pediatrics. Her experience and talents are invaluable to our office in delivering the excellent care that our patients are used to, and have come to expect.
Dr. Freed is always looking for new ways to enhance a patient's dental health using preventative techniques. Attending advanced treatment planning sessions at S.U.N.Y. Upstate's dental residency program, Dr. Freed is on the forefront of new and innovative ways to improve a patients treatment options. Dr. Freed has a special interest in the management of dental office medical emergencies, and dental / medical interactions with the goal of improving a patients overall health.
Dr. Caryl is focused on providing patients quality treatment in a comfortable setting. A believer in the importance of continuing education, Dr. Caryl has participated in numerous courses and lectures on everydiscipline in dentistry. Dr. Caryl enjoys treating patients with a wide variety of needs, from routine to complex.

I found Dr. Caryl to have a fantastic chair side manner. He was clear and calm as he explained what he was doing. I have a needle phobia and had no issues receiving the Novacaine. My fear of going to the dentist has definitely gotten better.

When asked what insurance I have I told you, you never said we don't participate, on appointment day signed in I asked what info is needed ' oh nothing is needed '. Not till I sit in the chair do you say you don't participate but we can bill you. Insurance is expensive enough and for you to try to get paid out of pocket....the least you could do was to let me know up front. Unprofessional!!!

Dr. Caryl was great and very professional. He was excellent with my kid, making jokes and keeping her comfortable (it was her first dentist visit.) I had tooth pulled a few years ago and Dr. Caryl did an excellent job. He is very laid back and calm, which helps when you go to the dentist. He doesn't scold for bad habits but makes suggestions. All in all, I highly recommend Dr. Caryl and this Syracuse Family Dentistry.

I didn't even know I didn't like past dentists until I saw Dr Caryl. He is gentle and knowledgeable and makes sure you know exactly what he is doing. He doesn't recommend treatment he doesn't believe in. Everyone I've referred to him says the exact same thing and refers their own friends and family there. He takes pride in his work and it shows. I've never thought about a dentist really caring about my teeth but he really does care and stands behind his work. I can't recommend him enough!!

I'm a current and continuing patient. They've always been been very professional when helping me. Since I didn't have dental insurance, the costs were affordable. One of the best things about them is that they give you the straight story without any pitches. I find them personable and friendly. I really should give them 5 stars.

I have gone to this office for years. I have always been satisfied with the care I have received. I have seen all of the current dentists and they have all been friendly and professional. In the past year I have probably been there 8 times due to lack of dental care when I was young. They have managed to save my teeth when possible saving me money, time and Time in the dental chair which I appreciate.

My 7 year old daughter saw Dr Woodhead. He was extremely condescending toward me with regards to my daughter's teeth. Not good with children. Would not recommend. Taking business elsewhere.

Very out dated bill paying methods, outdated building and poor location. Had a $70 bill for work that was 30 days past due, they charged me $20 in late fees and called me threatening to send my bill to collections. Fair enough one should not be late on their payments but seemingly the only option was to mail in my credit card information or send a check. Additionally the late fees and threat of collections was such a turn off I immediately called and asked if I could pay over the phone and canceled my cleaning. Will not be returning.

Dr. Bonacci is an exceptionally talented dentist. Her work is extremely accurate, efficient, and painless. She has created a perfectly fitted crown for a root canal, and performed a filling with no discomfort in a minimal amount of time. I highly recommend Dr. Bonacci.

They told me this dentist could not remove my teeth at the day before my appointment day. I need to find a oral surgeon. About a month ago, they have sent me a bill about these extractions .And my orthodontist have communicated with them very early. They do not know to organize. I must postpone my schedule.
