Dr. Stephen Deal, a graduate of the University of Arkansas and the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry, first started his practice in 2003. His practice emphasizes proper facial growth, orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, TMD and Sleep Dentistry. He has completed extensive post graduate training in orthodontics, craniofacial pain, TMD and sleep. Dr. Deal is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. A Fellow of the International Association for Orthodontics, the American Orthodontic Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Deal is also a Diplomate of the Facial Beauty Institute. Dr. Deal shares his passion and expertise as a Senior Instructor for the International Association for Orthodontics and a Master Senior Instructor at the Facial Beauty Institute. Dr. Deal has lectured internationally on the biology of facial growth and incorporating the ControlledArch System into clinical practice.
Staying current with modern advancements in dental technology has always been a cornerstone of Dr. Deal's practice. Dr. Deal has engaged himself in hundreds of hours of additional advanced education. In 2010, Dr. Deal became a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry after accumulating 700 hours of advanced education and passing a rigorous examination encompassing all areas of general dentistry. Dr. Deal received his fellowship from the American Orthodontic Society in 2011 after completing 300 additional hours of orthodontic training. He is a graduate of the famous Dawson Academy of Advanced Dental Education in St. Petersburg, Florida; where he was mentored by one of the true experts in dentistry, Dr. Pete Dawson. Dr. Deal carries on the concept of complete dentistry taught by Dr. Dawson and employs those concepts daily. Dr. Deal is also a member of the International Association for Orthodontics and the American Dental Association. Because learning never ends and he values giving his patients the highest caliber of treatment, Dr. Deal constantly continues his efforts in achieving higher education. Dr. Deal is currently pursuing fellowship status with the International Association for Orthodontics and Mastership Status with the Academy of General Dentistry.
