I graduated from University of California School of Dentistry in San Francisco, one of the most prestigious institutions in the world. In addition to having extensive experience working at Happy Bear Surgery Center in Tulare, and in pediatric and adult dental offices in Bakersfield, Fresno, Madera, Visalia, Modesto, Merced, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, I am also experienced in oral sedation, nitrous oxide administration, and Invisalign, as well as traditional braces.
I am passionate about my work and am committed to the highest standard of care. In the Era of Informational Revolution, as the world is transformed by technology, we are passionate about using the latest technologies to help our patients achieve their oral health goals. I continue to attend educational meetings to learn how to better provideorthodontic needs for our patients. Patients do not need to go to their orthodontic officeto take off their wires and return to our office for cleanings or fillings. I also have extensive training in implant placements and restoration to offer high-quality, more affordable implants for our patients.
Outside work, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my three young boys: Warren, Benjamin, and Charlie. My husband Eric and I also love to travel. Each year, we trot different regions of the globe and learn about different cultures. We enjoy checking out good restaurants and, when the weather is right, we love outdoor activities as well. Biking, hiking, snorkeling, and snowboarding are just a few of our favorites.
Despite my busy schedule, I am committed to volunteer work, both at home and abroad. I am involved with Give Kids a Smile and the UCSF free dental clinic, and have gone on mission trips to rural Cambodian villages.

My knowledge base and caring personality are strengths that help me in addressing any questions that patients may have pertaining to their oral health and treatment plan. I believe it is important to explain oral health and its treatment to encourage patients to take an active role.
I recently became a father and enjoy spending time with my little girl. My other hobbies include traveling, photography, solving puzzles, sports, and spending time with friends and family. In the last few years, I have traveled to France, England, Italy, Thailand, Japan, Vietnam, Hong Kong, and Mexico. I am always eager to learn and engage in new things, places, and people.

I came here in 2019 and absolutely fell in LOVE with all of the staff. They're all so sweet and so educational and they make sure to go over every detail. I love that if you don't know or understand something, they don't dumb it down like other places do but they simply take their time explaining it. I do wish they did the root canals there (only complaint lol) but they definitely help you with the referral out and help you get the appointment. I'll definitely refer everyone I know to come here and I definitely won't abandon them again lol.

They did a really good job directing me to the right place and helping me get all the information I needed. They gave me x-rays and showed me what needed to get done. I highly recommend this place and I appreciate what they've done for me. :)

It was my first time establishing myself at a new dentist since moving into my own home. I hadn't been in years and was really nervous to go, but since making the phone call, they've been nothing but kind, warm, and welcoming. I enjoyed the conversations I had with the staff and absolutely adore the dentist. Shes professional and wants the best care for you! I am happy to have found a new dentist I can see myself coming to for the foreseen future.

Today was my first appointment and it was absolutely amazing! The office staff and Dr. Yu were so kind. Walk in and was kindly greeted and got taken back right away. Veronica even got up from her desk to greet me. Janet was amazing and very gentle when she was taking X-rays and cleaning my teeth. I hate to go to the dentist and nervous but the whole office put me at the ease. I will definitely be recommending this office to friends and family!

I've had very few pleasant experiences at the dentist, but this one was truly great. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly, helpful, patient, and kind. I always get nervous going to the dentist but they made me feel comfortable and I appreciated them walking me through what they were doing to my teeth every step of the way. I'll be recommending this place to everyone.

I was amazed how you get one on one service, by each step you went on with the workers. They give you a serials of x-rays, after they did that, someone comes and gives you other x-rays that show your gum tissue around your tooth. Then they coordinate with another worker and tells them different numbers on your gum reciding, how much they affected your teeth. Then the dentist comes in and tell you what you and her are looking at and she explains. Then gives you options what and how to correct the teeth from further damage. Then they clean your teeth. After you are done,. You speak to the finance person, who talks and explain the option, but on your terms and she will have patience with you and is concerned options and let's you know what she figures what you want your insurance to cover and not cover. She figures that and calls you what the insurance says and explain. She and other works are really putting you first. I highly recommend them to others for good service.

I brought my daughter here because of all the great reviews and I will say they have by far exceeded my expectations, Wow!! If you are looking for a great experience with awesome caring people, THIS IS THE PLACE! They know their stuff when it comes to the insurance aspect of things.
