Dr. Sylvan S. Stern, DDS PLC has been helping his patients eat in comfort and smile with confidence for over three decades. Born in New York City, Dr. Stern attended City University, where he was nominated to Phi Beta Kappa and obtained a BA degree with Cum Laude and Honors in Biology.
Dr. Stern then graduated from New York University School of Dentistry in 1977 and was a dentist in the U.S. Navy in the Philadelphia Regional Dental Center from 1977-1979. He relocated to Michigan with his wife in 1981.

I went in for a 12:45pm appointment. Dr. Stern is VERY rude, mean, impatient and unprofessional. I wanted to be on the same page as him considering I'm in excruciating pain, and no one is excited to see the dentist. I was a little nervous and confused, and any time I asked him a question, just to be sure/comfortable...he got mad and frustrated. That's YOUR job to have the patience to answer your patients questions, and to assure them. I will NEVER revisit. Pain or not. If I could give his office a zero...I would

Dr. Stern is an excellent dentist. He and his staff are very friendly, professional, and courteous. Dr. Stern is very knowledgeable as a gentle dentist and he explains every work that is needed and he makes sure you understand every procedure. I really recommend Dr. Stern as your dentist you will not be disappointed!!

My friend had a terrble experience. The doctor Stern was rude and not professional. He was not good at what he was doing. Very unprofessional and mean and rude. I do not suggest anyone to go here.

Look no further!!! The best of the best. Dr. Stern has been my dentist for me and my well over 15 years. Even when I moved to Florida, I always came back to him for my dental care. I have been to many dentist, but he exceeds them ALL. Very open and honest regarding dental care and needs. Always, accommodating the staff is amazing and I'm never in the office all day. Therefore, I can plan my day accordingly. I highly recommend Dr. Stern.

The best Dentist I've ever gone to. Sandra is very polite and always keeps me up to date with my cleanings. Dr. Sylvan is great and very thorough. I highly recommend this place.

I'd give Dr. Stern ZERO STARS if I could. I called him this morning and he literally told me that I could not afford him when I told him that I was paying with cash. Wow! Extremely ignorant!
