Dr. Switzer has been providing orthodontic care throughout Ellicott City since 1995 and understands the importance of getting to know her patients as individuals.
At Ellicott City Orthodontics, our team is dedicated to providing the kindest and gentlest care to our patients, understanding their individual traits, and tailoring their treatment to their personal needs so all of our patients and their families walk away with a smile. Our team remains educated in the latest technology and advances by attending Ortho 2 Users Group meetings, the American Association of Orthodontists National Meetings, and the Mid-Atlantic Society of Orthodontists Meetings.
Our orthodontic technicians will walk you and your child through every step of the process. In addition to assisting Dr. Switzer in clinical procedures, they will make sure your child feels comfortable throughout the course of their treatment plan.

By knowing more about her patients daily lives and activities, she is not only able to provide better treatment, but she is also able to connect with her patients on a more personal basis, ensuring their orthodontic experience is comfortable and stress-free.
Dr. Switzer received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and completed her orthodontic residency at the University of Maryland Dental School. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a member of the American Association of Orthodontists. She participates in an orthodontic study club as well as the Greater Catonsville Dental Study Club. To contribute to Ellicott City and the greater Baltimore community, she supports local organizations such as Temple Isaiah, the University of Maryland Dental School, sports teams, and more.
In her spare time, Dr. Switzer enjoys running around Centennial Park, traveling the world, and spending time with family and friends. With a loving husband, three children, seven brothers, one sister, and 18 nieces and nephews, Dr. Switzer always puts family first. And when youre treated at Ellicott City Braces, you become a part of our family, too!
This advanced system uses a custom-made series of aligners created for you and only you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements your dentist or orthodontist plans out for you. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete. I have to say my teeth were a mess and they did fix them up very nicely, but I was never given a a retainer so my teeth went right back, 6 years later I want to get my teeth fixed again through invisa line but was unable due to my insurance being used up on the last time I had braces, this all this offices fault for not completing their task which We paid, I am furious they cheated me out of this and now it is too expensive to fix them, horrible office do not recommend.

Dr Switzer and her staff are without a doubt the best! My sons teeth were a horrible mess, finished treatment and the results are unbelievable. Now he has perfect teeth. Wish I could give 10 stars.

Dr. Switzer and her staff are really one-of-a-kind. During treatment, Dr. Switzer always took time to explain everything in detail and the staff broke down the price sheet so we knew everything we were getting into and what options we had. The office went above and beyond anything I would have expected or requested. There were so supportive even after we moved out of town. Top office!

Dr. Switzer is absolutely fantastic. She made my entire Invisalign experience easy to understand and I've had phenomenal results. My case was particularly difficult, but she was able to get additional consults and provide considerations for dental surgery and dentists. Each and every one of office staff is great to work with and pleasant to see at every visit. Highly, highly recommend!

She has the great experience. They will not over charge you and get your kid braces for a great price. This is a very good clinic for kids with special needs. The waiting area just was remodeled and now has iPad stations.
