Dr. Maggie grew up in the Birmingham area, attended Samford University and earned a Doctorate of Medical Dentistry at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She initially practiced in Alabama before moving to Nashville in 2014. She, her husband, Adam, and their 2 children, Davis and Parker, have made Nashville their 'forever' home. Dr. Maggie has always put a focus on a healthy lifestyle. And like so many of us, when she became pregnant with her first, that focus intensified. She began expanding her education beyond traditional dentistry and incorporating the link between oral health and whole body health into her practice.
So what exactly IS holistic dentistry? Well, its just like traditional dentistry. But it also gets to the bottom of Why. Why are you cavity-prone? Why do your jaws pop or your gums recede? We take the time to ask these questions and find solutions that last, not mask. And heres the Sweetest Truth of all. Prevention can help prevent the scary stuff from happening in the first place. Wonderful experience! The office is modern, clean, and provides an almost spa like entry to the office. My hygienist, Alex, was personable, thorough with my cleaning (I know the difference!) and at the same time very gentle and accommodating. Dr. Maggie and the team took great care of me! I should add, I needed to bring my 2 year old son to my appt and the team made it such a wonderful experience for him as well.

I looked for a long time for a holistic dentist. Finally found Sweet Truth and I am so happy I did! When you walk in you're greeted by a smiling front desk lady and just the beauty and calmness of the waiting room. The hygienist introduced herself and the young lady shadowing her. Then went over my forms with me, talked to me about my needs and what I was looking for from my visit. Being able to have an open conversation with my dentist and FEEL supported in my decisions and healthcare choices, is amazing! My appointment was a second opinion. Dr. Poole made a suggestion to help with me grinding my teeth, that the other did not. In addition, she only felt two teeth actually needed treatment and why she felt differently than the other dentist. She explained it to me and I understood and agreed with her. She also gave me other things to add to my current daily regimen to aid remineralizing my teeth. She was very nice, easy to talk to and her team was too! I'll be back (bringing my husband too) to make Sweet Truth our permanent dentist! Thank you Sweet Truth!!!

Such a wonderful atmosphere. We felt welcomed and cared for from the moment we entered until we left. Our dental assistant was an absolute gem. She was incredibly kind, very knowledgeable, and made my daughter feel perfectly at ease. We love the focus on holistic care. We have definitely found our new dental care home! My experience at Sweet Tooth Dental was so pleasant and so much better than any other dental experience I've had in the past. They are so informative as well as encouraging when it comes to overall dental health. My hygienist, Desiree, was so sweet and thoughtful and Dr. Maggie was also very kind and thorough in answering all my questions! I highly recommend it!

My first experience at Sweet Truth was in another league from every other dental experience I've ever had. I struggle with significant anxiety when visiting the dentist, but everyone here met me with such compassion, kindness, and clear communication, that the entire experience was... dare I say... Pleasant. Yes, the office is lovely but it's the calm and kind energy that everyone brings to their work that makes the place feel so good. Every bit of discomfort or fear I expressed was met with a thoughtful solution. And I learned things about what was happening in the cleaning and why, and about things going on in my mouth, that no one had ever bothered to explain before. For the first time in my life, I don't dread going back. I'm so grateful.

Sweet Truth totally blew me away! I have never been in such a beautiful office - the attention to detail, comfort, and aesthetic is next level. The staff here are all SO wonderful: from the receptionist who I spoke to on the phone (who was unbelievably patient while my children were obnoxious in the background) to the hygienist, and of course Dr. Poole. 10/10 recommend if you need a dentist in the Nashville area!
