Dr. Dobbins is one of the few dentists in North America to be residency trained in orthodontics and pediatric dentistry. The result is an engaged, better-aware, and informed parent who becomes an active partner in the treatment plan and design.
Dr. Dobbins is an active member in many dental associations including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and the American Association of Orthodontics (AAO). Dr. Dobbins is always eager to learn the latest and most innovative techniques to assist in treatment. He has an individualized approach and the compilation of extensive dental expertise that plays a vital role in smile design.
Dr. Dobbins was born and raised in Mesa, AZ where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.00 GPA from Arizona State University. Following his undergraduate education, he took a two-year hiatus to volunteer as a missionary for his church in Boston, Massachusetts.
After which he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and later earned an orthodontic Certificate from The University of Oklahoma, the #1 orthodontic training program in the country. He followed this time by working as an orthodontist in Overland Park and then finishing a pediatric dental residency at New York University (NYU).
Dr. Dobbins enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. His hobbies include an array of sports and outdoor activities. He and his family are active members of their local church and feel blessed to call Overland Park their home.
Dr. Mullenaux was blessed with the privilege of being a twin. His twin brother taught him to love life and find joy in it even while his twin suffered from both mental and physical disabilities resulting from birth trauma.
While in his youth, Dr. Mullenaux learned to see and love the greatness of those with disabilities. This has driven his passion for dentistry, working with children, and especially children with special needs. Dr. Mullenaux obtained a bachelors degree in Biological Sciences from ASU, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He then attended the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health where he served as President of the Pediatric Dental Study Society and as Co-Chairman of the Universitys Give Kids a Smile committee.
After dental school Dr. Mullenaux attended New York University (NYU) Langones Pediatric Dental Residency Program in Yakima, Washington. He then began work as a pediatric dentist in Leavenworth, Kansas before moving to Johnson County with his family and joining Sweet Tooth. Dr. Mullenaux truly enjoys working with children and more importantly, learning from them. Dr. Mullenaux is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Kansas Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and is a Pediatric Dental Specialist.
Dr. Mullenaux and his wife, Dustynn, have four very active and fun-filled children. As a family, they love being outdoors, making friends, and serving in their church and in the community around them.
