Dr. Rachel is an Oregon native and graduated summa cum laude from Pacific University with a double major in chemistry and biology. She attended the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA, where she graduated with honors. After obtaining her dental degree, Dr. Rachel was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy and was stationed overseas in Okinawa, Japan, serving the dental needs of active duty service members and their families. During her time with the Navy, Dr. Rachel had many unique opportunities, such as serving on a health care mission to Cambodia and doing dental presentations at Japanese and American schools.
Following her service, Dr. Rachel pursued her passion for pediatric dentistry with a residency at the Harvard affiliated Boston Childrens Hospital. Her focus was on dental care for children and patients with special needs. Dr. Rachel continued to share her love of pediatric dentistry by joining the faculty at the University at Buffalo in Buffalo, New York, where she relocated with her husband (also a dentist).
Recently, Dr. Rachel and her family traded in the snow for sunny California, where she joined the team at Sweet Orthodontics. She is enthusiastic about coaching families on healthy habits that lead to a healthy mouth and a healthy body. She also joined the faculty at the University of Southern California, where she can share her passion for pediatric dentistry with dental students and residents.
Dr. Rachel is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry and Western Society of Pediatric Dentistry.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Rachel can be found spending time with her husband and three children. She also enjoys training for marathons and triathlons, particularly riding her bike along the PCH, even during the winter months. An animal lover, her family also includes a toilet trained cat, a bearded dragon, and a Klee Kai puppy.
I have been blessed with a supportive and caring team. Together, we strive to help you bring your best smile and self forward. The best parts about our practice are the team and the long-lasting relationships that we establish with our patients and the community.
I married my high school sweetheart, and we have a feisty Bichon-Shih Tzu. In addition to my passion for orthodontics, I am a food fanatic! My husband and I like to find new restaurants, local hangouts, and food trucks to sample and try. We also enjoy traveling, hiking, and most recently TikToking!

Dr. V and her staff are amazing! I am so happy I found them to take care of my sons smile! They are always running on time for appointments which makes scheduling so easy they get you in and out! They have amazing communication skills and a great system set up for reminders. They respond quickly to phone calls/texts. I highly recommend Sweet Orthodontics's! They also recently brought in a pediatric dentist and she is such a great dentist that I feel I can trust! Five stars isn't enough they get 10 stars from me!

This place is amazing! The atmosphere is so peaceful, child friendly. My son was terrified of the dentist, but when we come here, he's so calm.Thank you Dr. V, Dr. Rachel and Jullian for taking such great care of my sons teeth.

Dr.V is sweet and patient. My invisalign experience has been smooth and pain free. They are always on time and accommodating. The patient care here is outstandingly amazing. They are always available for questions by phone call or text. I highly recommend this clean and professional place.

Absolute best service, I can not brag enough about how personable, courteous and flexible the team here are. They have state of the art equipment and it's always super clean. I'm in love with Invisalign vs regular braces and the convenience is unmatched.

Sweet orthodontics is the best orthodontic office I've ever been to. I had been to many other offices and chose sweet orthodontics because of Dr. Duong. Dr Duong is good at what she does she walked me through how Invisalign works and what is expected of me. The office responds to all my calls if I have any questions and Julian always emails, texts, and calls to remind me of my upcoming appointments. Also, the office is beautiful. I knew I wanted to get my Invisalign here the minute I stepped in. The office is very modern and super clean.

I've been interested in Invisalign for sometime now (I have a pretty prominent snaggle tooth). Dr. V, and staff, are beyond friendly. There was no wait for my consultation and I was able to take care of the paperwork online before my visit. They've done a wonderful job of patient management during COVID, which I so appreciate. Office is very clean and well taken care of. Would strongly recommend this office to anyone interested in Invisalign or Braces!

I am happy to report that the team at Sweet Orthodontics are great. Both my fiance and myself began our treatments with them back in October of last year and can genuinely say our experience has been a good one. Whenever we walk into our appointments, we feel like family.

There are so many great things to say about Dr. V and Julian. From my first consultation, to having braces put on, and the long road ahead it has all been wonderful! Besides their modern clean facility, their personable nature, and great taste in music.... their transparency is what hooked me! I never felt pressured into any treatment plans that I didn't fully understand, I never felt like I was being upsold to, and I never felt like I was being talked down to. I am continuously reminded that I am just as important and included in the conversation. Dr. V takes the time to consult with my oral surgeon and dentist to ensure a holistic plan is being implemented. She is also a perfectionist which makes putting my smile in her care just that much more reassuring. Julian is always available for all my questions and is prompt with reminders about upcoming visits. I highly highly suggest Sweet Orthodontics!!! As a 29 year old with adult braces best decision I have made!!!

Dr. V and Julian make those once dreaded check ups (from previously having braces with another orthodontist clinic) an extremely smooth, enjoyable visit. Every time I come in they remember what we spoke about in the last visit. Very personable service, clean modern and fun office. I am so glad I found this place!

Dr. Anderson is awesome. She's very informative and was great with my daughter. My daughter is 2 and actually had a blast at this dentist office. There's also a treasure chest full of fun toys for the kids. I would recommend sweet orthodontics and pediatric dentistry to anyone.

I had braces before and dreaded the monthly "tightening" visit. It was a completely different experience at this office. Visits are fast, no wait time and painless. Efficient scheduling makes my life so much easier. No more monthly visits for me. So glad I found this office!
