Dr. John Moffat received his Bachelor of Science degree at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry. After dental school, Dr. Moffat was awarded a position as a dental resident in a General Practice Residency program in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he received additional training in a variety of dental subjects. Dr. Moffat is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the San Fernando Valley Dental Association. He is also a member of AYUDA, a non-profit association of dentists who provide voluntary dental service to under-privileged children in the United States, Mexico, Central America, and South America. Dr. Moffat is the visionary behind OralpathDx, a computer software program that helps health care providers more accurately diagnose oral pathology. Dr. Moffat grew up in Hidden Hills, California. He is happily married and has 5 beautiful children. He enjoys spending time with his family, church, surfing, and enjoying music.
Dr. Chen offers a wealth of experience to her family of patients, and she loves the opportunity to help them discover the benefits of oral health. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCLA School of Dentistry, one of the top schools in the country. Then, she pursued an intensive residency at the Veterans Affairs Sepulveda Center in North Hills, where she was honored to care for our nations veterans.
Impressed by her clinical expertise and compassion, Dr. Chens residency mentors recommended her for staff positions at both the VA and a private practice in Valencia. Over the next ten years, Dr. Chen cared for patients of all ages, backgrounds, and medical histories. As she split her time between the VA and several private practices across Southern California, she developed a broad skill set and established relationships with thousands of patients.
At the VA, Dr. Chen coordinated with medical colleagues to delivered comprehensive dental services to patients with complex needs. This specialty care included managing those undergoing radiation treatment for head and neck cancers. Today, she brings deep regard to Sweet Life Dental for each patients story and the need for personalized care plans.
Dr. Chen discovered the deeper purpose that comes with giving back to her colleagues at the VA. Her broad skills and gentle manner impacted upcoming dentists in the general residency program and the hygiene training program. Dr. Chens commitment to blending high-quality service and compassionate care continues to grow through continued education every year.
Dr. Chen also holds a BS in Chemistry from UCLA and converses fluently in English and Mandarin. When shes not in the office, she enjoys dancing and sampling new restaurants in her local community. Above all, she loves meeting new people, putting her patients at ease, and enhancing lives through exceptional dentistry.

This place is amazing. The receptionist and Dr. Chen are very kind and understanding. My boyfriend has a dentist phobia and they made him feel very comfortable and we both truly appreciated that. They are very genuine, accommodating, and provide outstanding service! I recommend this place to everyone!

Finding a good dentist to trust was a challenge. Dr. Debbie Chen is definitely a really good dentist, every time I come to her she does amazing work. Few months ago orthodontic reason I had 4 extraction with her, she was gentle and careful. To be honest, I didn't feel when my teeth were out. Communication is really good when I have questions, she answers me with details which is really important to me. The staff is really friendly. I recommend Dr. Debbie Chen to friends, family and to anyone 100%.

I have been seeing Dr. Debbie Chen for several years now and have never been happier with her. She listens to your concerns and provides valuable input and options for you and your dental care. Dr. Debbie Chen has been my dentist for four years now. As a healthcare provider myself, I really appreciate the way she brings me along in figuring out what's best for my teeth. She's good at explaining what she observes and lets me know the different options and timeline for decision making. I've never felt pressured to receive services as I have at some other dental practices. She's also really good at remembering my dental history, often times reminding me of details I myself have forgotten. Dr. Debbie is genuinely a rare find. I consider myself lucky to be under her care and yes- that means I'm willing to drive 1.5 hrs to see her. She's that good!

Dr. Debbie Chen is the best! She has been my mom's and my dentist since 2017. Dr. Chen is always so patient and detail orientated in explaining and providing treatment plans, performing the procedures and following up. I truly appreciate having a dentist who explains in details about the pros and cons of treatment plans, providing options and her expertise and professional recommendations. The clinic is clean and the staff is friendly and professional. Dr. Chen is so caring and trust worthy, and I am willing to drive 1+ hrs to go to her for my dental needs.

Dr. Moffat and his staff are solely concerned with the dental satisfaction of their patients. This office has a long history of great work and a place where I send my friends when they are dissatisfied with their own dentists and dental hygienists. There a very knowledgeable and able to work out any difficulty expediently and with a minimum of discomfort. From cleanings to root canal, everything is done with the top and knowledge, technology and care.
