Our practice is located in the heart of town across the street from Swansea High School on St. Matthews Road. Dr. Workman began the office decades ago and we continue to offer the same small-town hospitality today, but now with cutting edge materials, techniques, and technology.
Faye is the Patient Coordinator for Swansea Dental Care. She is a lifelong resident of Swansea and attended Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College. With over 15 years of experience in the dental field, she is also certified in Radiology and Nitrous Oxide Sedation. She enjoys spending time with her son Hunter, family and friends. Faye is available to help meet your dental needs.
Nicole is Dr. Suthars chairside assistant for all dental procedures. She is new to the dental field and very eager to get to know all of our patients. Nicole completed her training at the Palmetto School for Career Development where she finished at the top of her class. She has been a resident of Swansea for over 10 years. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, boys,and pet pigs.
Dr. Vatsal Suthar is a native of Cayce, SC and attended Airport High School. He graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2006 with a degree in Exercise Science and minor in Business. He worked for two years as an exercise physiologist before moving to Charleston, SC and earning a Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2012 at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Dr. Suthar was chosen to attend and train at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, SC for an additional year upon graduation. He has completed additional continuing education to achieve Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry; a feat less than 5% of all dentists have accomplished. Dr. Suthar is also a volunteer at the Richland County Childrens Dental Clinic.

I made an appointment with Dr. Suthar to get a second opinion on a diagnosis made by another dentist. He did a very thorough exam, including lots of pictures and two x-rays and he took the time to ask and answer questions to ensure that we both had a clear and accurate understanding of my dental issues. I was so impressed that I decided to change dentists!

Our 3 children ages 13, 11 and 3, all had an absolutely amazing experience at our hometown dental office! The receptionist is truly a sweetheart, dental hygienist so sweet and so good with us all, and the Dentist so kind and makes sure any questions or concerns you might have are answered! Hands down amazing experience and the kids cannot wait to see them again in 6mths!

I had a crown come off while caring for my Mother who is sick. I live 4.5 hours away in another state. I called Swansea Dental Care and explained my predicament. They worked me in in less than 24 business hours. Faye, Nicole and Dr. Suthar were all so empathetic and caring. They thoroughly checked the tooth and surrounding area using x-rays and physical inspection before reattaching my crown. If I lived here, I would certainly choose Swansea Dental Care for all my dental needs.

Dr. Suthar and his office staff are amazing. Everytime I go to the office, they make me feel like part of the family. I am greeted with smiles immediately and the staff are welcoming. Dr. Suthar is definitely a doctor who works for the people of the community and it shows in his compassion and care for every patient. It is rare to find a doctor that will sit and chat with you personally and show interest in what you have to say. I am never disappointed when I leave the office!
