Dr. Robert Sutter has been delivering outstanding orthodontic care since 1996. Hereceivedhis Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 1994 and his Master of Oral Biology and certificate in orthodontics in 1996 from UCLA.
Dr. Sutter has excelled in his specialty and maintains memberships with such professional organizations as the American Association of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association, the California Association of Orthodontics, the California Dental Association, as well as others.
Dr. Sutter is an avid sports fan. He played water polo and swam for Lodi High School. He then played waterpolo at Pepperdine University. Now he spends his time watching his kids at plays, recitals, basketball and soccer games. He teaches confirmation classes at St Peters Lutheran Church and he and his wife lead the Junior Youth Program.
Dr. Sam Suliman is a native of Stockton. He completed his Associate Degree at San Joaquin Delta College. Through his hard work, effort, and unconditional love and service to the Stockton community, he was awarded the Community Involvement Program (CIP) full-ride scholarship to the University of the Pacific (Go Tigers!). This once in a lifetime opportunity fueled Dr. Sulimans ambition and in 2003 he received his Bachelors degree in Chemistry-Biology.
Dr. Sulimans career was just beginning. The year following his graduation from college, he was accepted to the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2007. Dr. Suliman took his love for service to another level and commissioned into the United States Navy. He practiced dentistry for several years as a Navy dentist and he had the honor and privilege of serving with a Marine unit in Japan. He then returned home to complete his orthodontic residency training at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. He received his Masters of Dental Science degree and a certificate in the specialty of Orthodontics. He is a Diplomate of the prestigious American Board if Orthodontists.
The decision to return home and serve the Stockton community first as a citizen and second as an orthodontist was rather simple. Dr. Suliman is happily married to his beautiful wife Suzanne. They are blessed with two beautiful daughters named Layalina and Naya. In his spare time, Dr. Suliman enjoys spending time with family, snowboarding and traveling.

Dr. Suliman was able to treat all my ortho needs. I was a moderately complicated case with an open bite and used Invisalign. Now that open bite has been corrected and my teeth are perfectly aligned. Him and his team did a great job and made me feel comfortable each and every visit.

I HAVE BEEN GOING HERE ALMOST 4 YEARS AND THEY ARE ULTIMATELY THE BEST ORTHODONTIST EVER I WOULD DEF RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE FOREVER !

My daughter who is 10, has been coming to Dr. Suliman for a couple years and we absolutely love him! He's so caring, and patient. Even my daughter says she really likes Dr. Suliman as well. All of the staff is very friendly as well. Highly recommend!

My son Gabriel started his ortho treatment 3 years ago with Dr. Robert Sutter (first part of his treatment) and we went back a 2nd time when his 2nd treatment came around! Office staff is always awesome and helpful and Dr. Suliman and Sutter are always available and awesome as well! Very much recommended place to take your kiddos!!

Do not recommend this place. They are currently being sued by multiple people for things like dropping a bracket down someone's mouth during installation. Do your research before choosing where to send your children!!!!!!!!!

It's hit and miss with finding an ortho. Very very nice to find a good one. Dr Sutter and his staff are great, attentive, caring, accommodating, friendly, and they have a good sense of humor. Their prices are fair and you get a lot for your money. Glad I found my ortho in lodi.

We have had the pleasure of working with Dr Sutter to straighten the teeth of 5 of our family members. He and Shelly are very professional and friendly. Wait times are never a problem, appointments are easy to make, and the end results are perfect. We would hands down recommend Dr Sutter for all orthodontic needs!

I went to Dr. Sutter to get braces a few years ago. I had the most amazing experience with them. They are like a family to me now. I've had my braces off for about 4 years now. Recently, part of my permanent retainer broke and they fixed it with no problems, even after all these years. My teeth are still perfectly straight thanks to Dr. Sutter and his assistants.
