Dr. Rosenthal was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After practicing oral and maxillofacial surgery in clinics throughout the United States, including Hawaii, Missouri, and Rhode Island, he wanted to return to his home state back to his roots. He always wanted to transition to a small-town practice where he could develop personal relationships with each of his patients as well as within the community. When the opportunity was given to him, by Charles M. Burzynski, DMD, he could not refuse. In 2015, Dr. Rosenthal became the surgeon owner of Susquehanna Oral and Facial Surgery & Dental Implant Center.

He received his undergraduate degree from Penn State University and his Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) degree from Temple University. Dr. Rosenthal earned his medical degree (MD) from the University of Pittsburgh and completed his postgraduate residency (seven-year specialty training) with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC).

Dr. Rosenthal is an active member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is also a member of several additional professional associations. Some of his clinical interests include wisdom teeth extraction, dental implantation, grafting, and reconstruction.

When not taking care of his patients at Susquehanna Oral and Facial Surgery & Dental Implant Center, Dr. Rosenthal is the medical director and provider at Prestige Medical Aesthetics, enjoys spending time with his teenage daughter and son or can often be found giving back to those in need.

Since 2018, he has participated in the Santa Catarina Family Oral Health Program, which provides the underserved population living in Guatemala access to free dental care. Additionally, he is a past participant of Give Kids A Smile, a program created by the American Dental Association (ADA) that provides free oral health services to children.

Our experienced surgical team consists of trained surgical assistants, registered nurses, and paramedics. They are each certified in Basic Life Support, and several members are certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. They attend regular continuing education programs regarding surgical assisting skills, infection prevention, patient safety, anesthesia assisting, and emergency preparedness. Our registered nurses and paramedics assist in administering general anesthesia and intravenous (IV) sedation in our state-of-the-art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery.

That staff is very polite and friendly, Amanda V. RN was very informative and able to answer all of my questions and provided answers to questions I didn't think to ask. Dr. Rosenthal was very polite and friendly, very informative, laid out the game plan. After discussing everything with him, I get the sense he has confidence it will be successful. Hoping the surgery goes this well!

Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. I had a total of 4 teeth removed and had zero complications or pain afterward. Every single piece of advice given helped for a fast and easy recovery.

Absolutely professional and thorough from pre OP to post OP. The staff is friendly and attentive and will not hesitate to bring you in if you have any concerns after your surgery. Dr Marc Rosenthal is kind and addresses any/all issues from your procedure.

I met with the Dr and the staff in two occasions. Both visits were great. Each person was professional, patient, and down to earth. We discussed the situation and monitored it. The Dr put no pressure on me to do any unnecessary procedure. In fact, he encouraged me not to. Thank you all!

Dr Rosenthal was fantastic! My daughter had her wisdom teeth (all 4) removed, the pre op was fine, the procedure went great, at the 1 week check up the nurse was extremely rude to myself and my daughter. She treated me as I was dumb while talking about medications and how my daughter was taking it. When she was removing the gauze she was rough, and acted as though there should have been no feeling of discomfort. The Dr came in and was fantastic and very accommodating. While the Dr was in the room, the nurse was super sweet. When the Dr left the room the nurse was applying a gel and when asked if it was cold she rolled her eyes at her and was very rude about stating that it was room temperature.

If I could go lower than a 1 star I would. I have used Dr Burzinski for multiple oral surgeries and would have always recommended him as a 5 star service provider. However, under the new management of Dr Rosenthal the policy has apparently changed and now my records and x-rays and no longer ok to use.... So now I have to spend $200+ (EACH VISIT) just to get a estimate on what it is going to cost for a tooth repair!!! It seems that this place is no longer for the average person (if you pay in cash) unless you have insurance they can bill. If anyone approves of a $200 visit just to receive a price on work to be done, you need to look at other places. This is not the only place in town. Im beyond disappointed. I feel as if they are trying to over bill previous customers without justification. Sad

I'm very grateful for the service at this office. They were able to get my son in quickly and set the surgery for the following week. I call that prompt service.

What I found was very professional individuals & compassion. They listened to me & what I thought was a real problem. They took the time to explain everything in a way that I could understand. When I left today, I felt that my problem had been put into perspective. I have dealt with this office before. I felt the same.

Several delays and cancelations leading up to appointment. Office staff just seemed "out of synch". Actual surgery was good, Dr Rosenthal was fine. Afterwards, staff did not give clear instructions for aftercare. On one week return, tech was not friendly at all. Said i should have been taking meds over night, which was contrary to what we were told on day of surgery. At 1 week appointment, she rinsed mouth out without a towel, letting bloody water fall all over my shirt. Aggressively pulled out socket packing without warning. Overall, just a frustrating experience.

My first visit (consultation) went very well. The staff was courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. All subsequent visits also went as well as the first.

Almost everything was very good. The exception was the floor of one of the rooms that was used for my examination. It needed mopped badly.

Dr. Rosenthall and Don are great! Had a really great wisdom tooth extraction experience. They kept me laughing through my anxiety. It did take a bit longer than expected but that's okay not a big deal for me. The rest of the staff, not so sure about. When I went in for my consultation, they rushed me through it and I didn't get to meet Dr. R. I had to call them 3 times to get my pre surgery meds filled. So pre-surgery was not a great experience, but the actual surgical experience was great! I go for post-surgical follow up in a couple days and I'm sure it'll be fantastic.

Unfortunately didn't see Dr. Rosenthal much but when I did he was great! Informative and very friendly. Bobbi and Mike were great, made me feel very comfortable. The front desk staff is also very friendly and helpful. Currently one week post surgery and everything is healing great! Hopefully won't have to go back but if I do need more oral surgery, I'll definitely go back!
