Dr. Sheets graduated from the USC School of Dentistry in 1988. After practicing dentistry for 20 years, she wanted to advance her skills further, so she began an additional four years of training at the KOIS Center; a comprehensive, advanced post-graduate training institute in Seattle. At the Center she learned advanced, scientifically-based techniques for complex treatment planning and full smile designs.

After graduating from the KOIS Center in 2014, she became a Mentor, assisting with the instruction and training of other dentists. She continues to advance her knowledge and skills by taking 100-200 hours of continuing education each year from some of the best clinicians in the world.

I see my mission as providing the best dentistry has to offer in the most comfortable manner, Dr. Sheets says. Therefore, part of my continuing education has been in oral conscious sedation, for those patients who have long visits or have anxiety. I also strive to improve my patients overall health, by identifying risk factors for systemic conditions such as cardiovascular disease or sleep apnea.

Dr. Sheets is also a diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. She completed UCLAs sleep medicine residencys program in 2018, and the AADSMs sleep medicines residency program in Chicago in 2019. I feel that it is of the upmost importance to achieve the highest level of education possible in sleep medicine. A good nights sleep has been linked to reducing multiple health risks. Fabricating oral devices to treat patients sleep apnea and help them breath better has been very rewarding for me.

When shes not teaming with patients to enhance their smiles and health, Dr. Sheets enjoys spending time with her husband and her two young adult daughters. She promotes and active life style, enjoying many outdoor activities such as running, scuba diving, and fishing.

The Kois Center, created by Dr. John Kois, is an advanced post-graduated program with a rigorous nine-course curriculum. The Kois Center helps dentists stay up to date on the latest advances in both restorative and in aesthetic dentistry treatments. Education from the KOIS Center makes a huge difference in the dental diagnoses and expands treatment options your dentist can provide.

A KOIS Mentor helps other dentists to more thoroughly understand the concepts and methods they have learned at the center. To be granted mentor status, a dentist must first graduate from the center by completing the nine-course curriculum. After passing a comprehensive written exam and successfully presenting a powerpoint case presentation to an exam committee, a graduate is given mentor status. Dr. Sheets became a graduate of the center in 2013, taking four years to complete the curriculum. She became a mentor in 2016 and has been helping other dentists since that time.

He provides all the practices periodontal services, including esthetic gum contouring, gum surgery, and dental implant placement, working with Dr. Sheets as a well synchronized team to ensure each patient receives the excellence in care they deserve.
