Be careful about which dentist they schedule you with! I asked ahead of time when I got new insurance if my son's cleanings were covered and they told me yes. So one cleaning for my son was free and then for his next cleaning my insurance only covered part of it. I called to ask about it and apparently one dentist is in network and the other dentist is considered out of network. Surfside has always told me ahead of time if I would need to pay anything for my son's future appointments so I grew to trust them I didn't expect them to dupe me like this. I'm so bummed to tell my son he'll have to change dentists offices he loves it there and they do really good work! :(

I go in for myself and my little one and feel welcomed by the concierge there , the dental assistants and other employees in the back are always so nice and always know what they are doing and are happy to help with any and always answer any questions I have. Faby , Gola and even the ortho department are always so nice and professional! I would recommend this location to anyone!!

Had a great experience today at the dentist. Dr. Josh, who I hadn't seen before was really good with my kids. He was patient and took the time to explain every step to them so they wouldn't be afraid. The hygienists were really kind as well! Thank you!

I started my journey with looking up different orthodontists online via Yelp. I received a couple quotes via email and shopped around. I communicated with Janet, an absolute Sweetheart. Surfside Dental (DR Phan) was by far the best price. What I liked most is that they were direct, easy to work with, and their vision for me was clear. There were no hidden charges and did not overcomplicate things. They kept the process, payments, etc. very simple and easy to understand. I never felt like I was being upcharged. I had a corrective Jaw surgery case and this is their wheel house. Before I met DR Phan, I was confused on where to even start. After meeting him, everything made sense. Before I felt like it was just a dream, Dr Phan made it a reality. Nothing felt better than walking out of his office, and finally having a plan. He did that for me. So thank you for that! They saw my results/vision before I did. Dr Phan was enthused about my case and made me feel very comfortable about my journey. He made sure I had the right insurance for my case (In my case, It was Kaiser). He advised me of the high quality, and expertise of the Doctors he works with. He showed me Before and Afters. I was immediately sold. Little did i know I would be in such great hands. Between Joel, Janet, and Sandra, they are amazing. They are absolutely a well oiled machine and super team. They could not be any nicer and they immediately became like family. I look forward to seeing them on my monthly appointments. They are genuinely very nice and warm people. Nothing fake here. The rest of the staff is very nice as well. Dr Phan hires the best. They squeezed me in when a wire was bothersome. Joel would even skip lunches just to help me! Joel deserves a raise!! He is the best. I had a crown replaced mid treatment. They accomodated. I can not say enough good things about the office. I had my surgery March 2021 and my results were terrific. I finally had the bite I wanted. My underbite was asthetically not what I wanted and medically gave me problems. It was a long Journey due to COVID delays, however I am glad I finally got it done. I would not change a thing, and definitely not change offices. This was the best experience I could have hoped for. Recommendations: Although It is said Kaiser will not see you until you are surgically ready, Kaiser has no issues looking at your case. It is good to ensure your surgeon and your Ortho are on the same page on what is expected orthodontically for your surgeon to be well prepared. Also, if you have any crowns you will replace, I recommend bleaching and getting the crown done before you start. When you are finished with Ortho/Surgery the original retainers you order will fit long term. Otherwise, if you replace the crown after you get retainers, you will need extra set of retainers since the original retainers will not fit. Watch youtube videos before surgery on things you need. They were super helpful. Especially condiment bottles for eating/drinking. Get a neck fan for easier breathing during inflammation. Liquid Benedryl/Advil helps. I am posting this without before and Afters. I may update later with pictures. Good luck on your Journey! Go with Dr Phan and Surfside dental. They are the best choice!!

I hope there is an option to give negative ratings to this place. I highly doubt this place has the knowledge to do dental treatment. Maybe they just have a pretty look of a dental office. Don't be fooled by that. Here is why. I have two kids done check out here over last few months. We were told no immediate treatment needed. But at another place, we found both of them have teeth with deep cavities. We are still in the process of treatment. Some teeth may need to do root canals. Too bad, although it is close by in the neighborhood, I don't think we will ever come back to this place.

My 70-something year old mom has been annoyed with her teeth/smile for decades. She's talked for years about getting braces and finally decided to take the plunge (probably influenced by watching her grandchildrens' transformed smiles plus being less self conscious of the process due to covid mask wearing). Dr. Phan and everyone in his office could not have been more wonderful with her: they educated her, reassured her, and got her all set up. She's a few months in on Invisalign and we can already see a difference. She could not be happier with the experience. It's never too late! :-)

The staff were wonderful! It was my sons first visit to the dentist and they were so patient with him. They explained everything to him and he did great! Very hygienic, quick and comforting. I am very happy with my son's first experience at the dentist. Thank you Surfside staff!

Always pleased with our experiences at Surfside Dental. The entire staff is welcoming and friendly. I feel incredibly comfortable visiting (and with 3 kids with visit often) even now in our new Covid-19 environment.

Awesome staff. Thanks for taking care of our little ones. We visited today and found the place spotless. No toys or "attractive" surfaces for the kids to run their little fingers on. Also, we did not run into any other patients. Thanks for taking all protective measures!

Very good facility for kids. We took our 4yr daughter here and it was very easy for her first dentist appointment. Facility is clean also during pandemic they are measuring temperature and following good rules around social distancing.

Amazing! I usually feel anxious in places like the orthodontist, but they made me feel really comfortable and made me laugh too! i really recommend this place for anyone, they have amazing service and etiquette.

Dr Phan is working hard and his personality is appealing to kids. His clinic is clean. They said they get over 100 calls a day so you may need to call multiple times when you need to book or ask something from the front desk. Responses via email are slim. Also, you need to remind the schedule booker 2-3 times to put you in the calendar. They have forgotten many times even though they'll say on the phone "ok!" or "perfect." I hope the admin scheduler is equally customer obsessed as Dr. Phan. It may take a while.
