I had a great experience at Surfside dental! They got me checked right in on time, super kind, and my dentist was extremely thorough, Erin educated me along the way and did a great job, I am very pleased!

I have been coming to Surfside, since the day they opened. The turnover has become terrible. I wonder if they even have a dentist there. Haven't seen one in over a year. They perform services without asking first if you want them.. Then charge you, because insurance won't cover them. I think I'll have to speak to Nick about it.

I've had many dental appointments for cleaning my teeth. But this was the most professional, courteous, thorough experience I've ever had. Jen was the type of hygienist you want to see.

Beware. You pay in advance for two cleanings in a year, which is great and not the problem. The problem is, they don't get your appointment in by not returning your calls. Then your plan "expires"or once you do get in they nickel and dime and get you to pay extras. This is awful practice. We were loyal to a fault and kept going back because they were nice, but there were always new dentists and hygienist every time my family of 5 had an appointment. We have been going since they first opened and after every experience we would say never again. So much turn over within the practice that I have to assume this is why. Extremely frustrating as a client. I'm no longer giving them the benefit of the doubt and being nice any longer. After my plan expired again today I am officially over them.

Do not recommend. Went in as a first time patient knowing I needed fillings done potentially a crown with a very bad chip in my last molar. The doctor recommended a crown and before we could finish talking the girl who sells Invisalign came in and said no crown, if I were to get a crown I couldn't do Invisalign (not what I was there for) even explained I was considering traditional braces and I understood the difference because I had done Invisalign in the past. sooo here I am less than a month after the filling experiencing sensitivity and I go in for a cleaning also to let them know I'm experiencing pain. They continued the cleaning and bursted my abscess. My tooth was infected. Sent me home. I called back because the pain I was in was unbearable. they sent me to a sister store that did not accept my insurance. I have tried all week not just by phone call but by also physically stopping at the location and it appears they are closed. Both times I called the after hours hotline they were unable to access their schedule due to them being "offline" currently still waiting after 6 days of complaints to hear from someone. Literally sad and hurt.

The dentist themselves are always great, but the staff there always try's to up sell you. Dentists think I've had braces because of how straight my teeth are, but I never have. Yet the staff try to sell me Invisalign. This last visit I was told I had gingivitis (I'm post partum and nursing and got it with my last pregnancy). The hygienist then says I need a Gingivitis Cleaning that cost $229. I tell her no, and ask for just the regular cleaning. She refuses and says I don't qualify. I explain my history and that last time they just did regular cleanings and I had a special rinse at home. She still pushes this $229 cleaning and I ask again for just the regular cleaning. She tells me it's this or nothing. So I leave my appointment having had X-rays, my teeth flossed, and nothing else. No cleaning because the hygienist refused. My husband and I have both been coming here for a few years now, and we've talked about finding a new dentist. After this last appointment we most certainly are leaving.

My hygenist is Ravon. I love her. She is always concerned, makes suggestions, makes sure you are comfortable. Very gentle but thorough. I hope she never leaves.

Inconsiderate of people's time and unorganized. I did new patient paperwork online ahead of time and they didn't check to see if they received everything and then told me some of the paperwork isnt on there, so I had to fill that out which I didnt see the point of. They told me they needed a fmx in order to do a cleaning which I could have had ahead of time ready to go if they had made me aware instead of letting me know when I arrive for my appt. They then wanted to reschedule me only after rescheduling me two other times due to the doctor covering for another office. All this and haven't been seen yet.

I have been coming to Surfside, since the day they opened. The turnover has always been high, yet they seem to get those that have a high standard of care. Yavon did my cleaning today. It was the best one I have ever had and have requested her again for my next visit. Previous years the cost was high. I actually thought about leaving for that reason. But, it seems they are offering better prices for extra services.

This place has really gone downhill and is downright grimy!!! Expect to pay 3x the amount your supposed to every visit no matter if you have insurance. They are not trying to educate people they are trying to implement fear in your healthcare and use money as a Leverage to benefit themselves! And Elizabeth is a super rude condescending over glorified from desk lady.

Great empathetic and kind staff!! I originally came here because all of the other places around were booked for months and they had opening which I thought was a red flag, as well as a few bad reviews. BUT the staff here is great and helpful.

Dr. Lovelace is very professional, knowledgeable, he takes time to give clear explanations on rationale for interventions. His bedside or "chair" side manners are extraordinary. He is very thorough in his care, and true caring person. Having had a dozen of dentists, coming from a family of dentists and having experienced dentistry in the United States and overseas, I can say that he is an outstanding dentist

We are down in Florida for 6 months and I had a tooth emergency come up. I called Surfside Dental and spoke to Joslin, she was VERY helpful with contacting my insurance company and getting me an appointment for the very next day. Dr Lovelace and his staff were wonderful.
