Dr. Patrice Punim has been delivering outstanding orthodontic care since 1981. She attended the University of Rochester for her undergraduate education and received her Doctor of Medical Dentistry at Tufts University School of Dentistry in Boston. Dr. Punim then completed a general practice residency at Montefiore Hospital and Medical Center in New York City and her orthodontic residency at the UCLA School of Dentistry. She is a member of many professional organizations including the American Association of Orthodontists and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists. In her spare time, she enjoys golf, cooking, and playing the viola.
Andrew Levin grew up right here in sunny Huntington Beach. After attending Smith Elementary School and Dwyer Middle School, he spent his high school years at Huntington Beach High School. Andrew then completed his undergraduate education at UCLA, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Physiological Science. In 2012 he began his dental education at the UCLA School of Dentistry. Upon graduating Magna Cum Laude, he then obtained his certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. Additionally, Dr. Levin is a board certified Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is thrilled to be serving the public in his hometown.
Dr. Levin strives to stay up to date with the latest technology and advancements in the field of Orthodontics, and regularly attends training and continuing education programs. He is also an active member of many professional organizations, including:
Andrew has been married to his college sweetheart Melissa since 2016, and they enjoy exploring nature, hiking, and spending time with their families. They are excited to welcome their first child in May 2021!

Wonderful office. I went into for a Consultation and they treated me like they have known me for my whole life they had my name welcoming me on the monitor was really welcoming the staff is wonderful and the dentist is very knowledgeable and professional.

I love this orthodontic office! Coming from another orthodontic office previously who did not care about their patients, I can most certainly say that the staff and doctors here are genuine and extremely knowledgeable about their field and practice. I even shadowed the doctors here as a pre-dental student and cannot emphasize what a great experience it was. I've seen the behind the scenes along with the machines/equipment used which are all new and top of the line. If you want to come to an orthodontic office with great staff, equipment, and environment, then this is the perfect choice. 11/10.

I have known Drs. Punim and Levin for over 30 years. Dr. Punim took care of my four kids' braces over the years, so when it came time for me to straighten a few of my teeth that had aged in the wrong direction, I didn't hesitate to make an appointment. The Invisalign process was amazing! There are many good orthodontists here in Orange County. This practice offers you two GREAT orthodontists. Not only was their education and training from some of the finest schools in the country, (they are so wicked smart!), but they remain on the leading edge of best practices and have invested in the most progressive technology to ensure the best possible results. They will always offer you a comprehensive treatment plan and take the time to make sure you understand the purpose and value of each step of the process. All questions (even if they seem silly to you) are welcome and treated with respect. Most importantly, they will be honest with you about what is possible - and what is not. Each patient's care is truly personalized. Your success is their success. The staff here at Surf City Orthodontics are incredibly kind and professional. I've never had issues with scheduling and have never waited a single second to be brought in for my appointment. I'm always greeted and felt welcome at the door, where I'm then promptly brought to the back and greeted by Dr. Levin. Rare to find, Dr. Levin's patience exceeds all others. He thoroughly answered my questions and made sure I understood the treatment plan throughout the process. But he's not just a great personality in a white coat. He's experienced and knowledgeable, and the results I had from Invisalign are fantastic. Dr. Levin manages expectations and gives you reasonable estimates for the length of treatment based on the progress that he sees and your compliance with wearing your Invisalign. Thanks to his careful eye, I eventually ended up finishing treatment a couple months earlier than expected. I recommend Surf City Orthodontics to anyone looking to get a positive and comfortable experience with their Invisalign treatment.

I was referred to surf city orthodontist by my oral surgeon, it turns out very happy experience, I started my braces with Dr Punim, she is very knowledgeable and give me a very detailed review about my situation and the products I could use and her recommendation. I chose braces even though she highly recommended me Invisalign. Right after covid lockdown, I regret my choice, wish I listened to her suggestions at the first place. I asked her to switch me back to invisialign, I was much happier, cleaner, convenient and working well too. Later on Dr Levin joined the group and my treatment get slowly transitioned to Dr Levin. The transition was very smooth, he is very nice and knowledgeable too, in my opinion he is just as good as Dr Punim if not better. I am almost done with my treatment before surgery, will have another few months after the surgery. The front desk ladies and staff are amazing, they are super nice and helpful, appointments, billing and all the questions I have they never let me down, Thumbs up for all the ladies working there. I recommended this place to my friends and coworkers, I surely know who will be my kids' orthodontist if they need one in a few years.

Our son, Dash, has been seeing Dr. Levin for months and we can't say enough good things about him and his staff. They are all so kind and accommodating--and always take their time to make sure our entire family (and most importantly, Dash) feels comfortable and informed with every decision. Dr Punim and her staff are amazing! First and foremost is the care and detail Dr Punim puts into not just the initial treatment plan, but every step along the way in your journey toward the perfect smile. The technology her office employs to show you the progression of your treatment plan is cutting edge. However, it's not all business; her bedside manner is the best! She always takes the time to ask about you, your life, your family, etc. Next is the staff, all of whom are so friendly, professional, courteous and helpful. The front desk team can always seem to accommodate even the most challenging scheduling conflicts. They always greet you upon your arrival as if they are genuinely glad to see you. Lastly, the facilities are clean, warm and inviting. I have been taking my three kids here for years and never expected to end up as a patient myself, but after an accident requiring orthodontic repair, there was no doubt who I would entrust my care to. Dr. Levin and staff are great! They're very kind and they go above and beyond to accommodate the patient's schedule. They even delayed their company holiday dinner for me when I hit traffic on the way to the office because they knew it was a really long drive and didn't want to make me do it again on another day, even though I was completely willing to. If that's not above and beyond, I don't know what is! Dr. Levin takes the time to explain the procedures and to answer your questions. Would highly recommend.
