We want to treat each patient as we would treat a friend or loved one, to form a relationship and a partnership as we work with you to achieve a stable, healthy mouth and a beautiful smile.
Originally founded by Dr. Lloyd Singer in the 1960s, Dr. Yabuki joined Dr. Singer in 1981 as an associate dentist. The practice is now owned and managed by Dr. Yabuki. Dr. Yabuki brings to the practice, a long established sense of family with an emphasis on the latest technology, high quality, and strong ethics in a personable and safe environment. When you walk into the door, you are not only the patient, but you become part of a family that sincerely cares about you and your health.
Dr. Jeff Coleman is the newest addition to our dental practice. Joining Surf City Dentist in 2018, Dr. Coleman is a Huntington Beach native and is happy to have joined with Dr. Ken Yabuki to provide high-quality dental care to residents of Huntington Beach and surrounding areas.
OUR PHILOSOPHYWe strongly believe in preventative care and yet will never condemn or judge you for having a less than optimal oral situation. We will simply help you out, give you options and make recommendations of how to prevent further problems.yet even then, YOU, the patient, are always in control. That is how we do business, it is a partnership and we are here to help.
COSTSCosts are a concern to everyone, including our practice. We offer up-front pricing where you approve the treatment plan and we offer a multitude of different ways to pay for the treatment, sometimes with little or no costs to the patient. We accept PPO Dental Insurance, 0% Care Credit, All Major Credit Cards and USA Based checks.
Dr. Yabuki resides in Huntington Beach with his wife, Gail. His parents moved to the area in 1957 to farm land in northern Huntington Beach and after graduation from dental school, he returned to his home town. He and Gail raised two sons who are now pursuing their own careers after graduating from college.
He graduated from U.S.C. with a B.S. and U.C. San Francisco School of Dentistry with a B.S. / D.D.S. in 1979. He joined this dental practice in 1981 as an associate dentist and is currently the practice owner.

Dr Yabuki is great. I just went for a consultation and he explained everything clearly, gave me options and his his opinion. I will miss him when he retires next year. I've been with Surf City Dentistry for over 40 years.

I have been going to this office for years. When I moved here 22 years ago, I had tried 3 other dentists before I found Dr. Yabuki and his staff. The office is clean and orderly. All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. It's always a pleasure to visit my dentist.

As you look at my records you'll see I've been coming here over 30 years. It started with my tennis partner, Lloyd Singer, who owned it a long time ago. If I didn't still appreciate you all, I would not be coming. I especially like the gal who always starts with me. My senior mind is bad at remembering names, but I think it's Cindy. And yes I totally would recommend you to others if they asked for a good dental office. These below are comments I forgot to put in the original response this morning. Those seem like rare words these days... finding a trustworthy Dentist has become just like finding a good mechanic... one who won't 'upsell' you on all kinds of things you don't actually need just because they can... they know we don't have the knowledge they do ... but one who is totally honest with you and highly skilled. Dr. Jeff Coleman at Surf City Dentist is someone you can trust! I just had another great experience with him taking care of some Dental work for me....
