Dr. Boogren was born and raised in the Detroit area. He attended Detroit Catholic Central High School and then went on to receive a biology degree from Albion College. He received his doctor of dental surgery degree from The University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2006
He is an active member in the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Detroit District Dental Society, and the Academy for Sports Dentistry. He attends multiple continuing education courses each year to learn the latest advanced dental techniques.
Dr. Boogren was an avid soccer player, where he played both in high school and in college. He enjoys spending time with his family at their cottage in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and in his free time, he also enjoys running, fishing, and boating. Dr. Boogren's wife Julie is a school teacher. Together they have a son named Jensen and a daughter named Elin.
A native of Southeast Michigan, Dr. Randy Freij was raised in Livonia. Dr. Freij graduated from Detroit Catholic Central High School in 1994. He received his undergraduate degree from Wayne State University and Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Indiana University in 2004. Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Freij completed a general practice residency at the VA Medical Center in Indianapolis.
Dr. Freij is active in a number of professional dental organizations including the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, the Academy for Sports Dentistry, and the Detroit District Dental Society. In 2006, Dr. Freij was appointed by Governor Jennifer Granholm to the Michigan State Board of Dentistry.
Dr. Freij is dedicated to keeping his skills current and staying informed of the most advanced dental procedures. He has completed numerous post-graduate courses in cosmetic dentistry, sports dentistry, and dental implants. Outside of the office, Dr. Freij enjoys spending time with his family. He also enjoys sports, reading, and cooking.
Dr. Mallory grew up in Farmington Hills and resides in Ann Arbor. Growing up, she attended Detroit Country Day School and the University of Michigan for her undergraduate studies. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

It's unfortunate when you come across a local place that's not understanding. The receptionist Lori made me feel really bad by saying "cancel, cancel, cancel". As much as I understand how frustrating it is to work in a very similar field to have a patient cancel multiple times I would never make a patient feel uncomfortable. We are new to Milford and hope to find a dental place that can not be so rude.

I couldn't be happier with my dental care from Superior Family Dental in Milford, and also in their Farmington Hills office. This not only applies to my regular dental care but also for the Clear Correct liners to straighten my teeth and the new crown. I have mostly dealt with Dr. Boogren, but occasionally with Dr. Freij. Both are the best! Love the hygienists, dental assistants, and Laurie and Carly in the office. Their busy office is always friendly and professional, and no one is ever "too busy" to answer any questions or work with you on scheduling or rescheduling appointments. I didn't think any dentist would ever be as good as Dr. Ridings (from several years ago when he retired), but I lucked out getting dental care from Superior Family Dental! Highly recommended by me!

I have always been very scared of Dentists since I was as little. Had a very horrific experience. I finally found THE BEST Dentists around. I have see both Doctors and both are truly amazing!! Very honest and good hearted guys. The staff is just as amazing. I cannot express my thankfulness enough to this practice for helping me get over my fears of dentists. Thank you Superior Family Dental for all the good you do for our community.

I'm not crazy about going to the dentist but if you need dental work these guys are the best. The staff is super friendly and everyone is so knowledgeable. After all these dentist work on the Detroit Redwings.

Very hard to get in even with an emergency. Needed a simple filling but was told it would take 3 months to get in. Ended up breaking the tooth and had to go somewhere else. Lost the tooth then needed an implant which costs thousands. Will never go back !

Their front desk crew is very helpful and patient when scheduling appointments. Their office is state of the art as far as X-rays and instruments for cleaning. The hygienists ( especially Bridgette I am a little bised) are very professional and keep the conversation going during cleaning which helps keep your mind off things. The dentists are patient and very thorough

I would recommend this place to everyone. The doctors and staff are so kind and helpful. They go above and beyond. Bridget is the best hygienist I've ever had. Dr Freij explains everything and I dont feel any pain. Highly recommend!!

Superior Dental is the best office! My kids, mom and I go here and they always make us feel confident when we leave. I just had a visit, and the hygienist was helpful and did a great job. 10/10 recommend this office for their friendliness and cleanings.
