Dr. Sam Smith has been practicing orthodontics here in the Boise area since 2001. Among many things, he learned the value of hard work growing up the oldest of 10 children from Nampa, Idaho. Dr. Smith did his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University, where he majored in biology. He attended dental school at the University of Louisville and received his DMD in 1998, where he graduated in the top of his class with many honors. Dr. Sam stayed at University of Louisville for his specialty training in orthodontics as well as his master's degree. Although Dr. Smith loved Kentucky and the southern hospitality, he was very excited to return to Idaho and set up his practice.

Sam and his wife, Hollie, have six children. They love spending time together as a family. Dr. Smith loves the outdoors, boating, fishing, skiing, playing golf, and basketball. Did we mention he loves golf and basketball? He also stays busy volunteering in the community and with his church.

Dr. Smith absolutely loves going to work each day. Being an orthodontist is his dream job, and he doesn't think he will ever get tired of it. He loves the end result as well as the people he gets to associate with on a daily basis along the way.

Since 2001, Sam Smith Orthodontics has been providing patients in Boise and Eagle, Idaho, with top quality orthodontic care in a fun and family-oriented environment. Our practice serves a wide variety of clients including adults, teens, and children, and we strive to give our patients a personalized touch in a friendly atmosphere to give them the best experience possible.

We are delighted to have Penny back at Super Smiles! Penny started in orthodontics at 21 years old and has a vast knowledge of the field. Her energy is palpable and her optimism contagious! Penny (who is a twin) is married to Danny (who is a triplet). They have six children and six grandsons. When not at work Penny enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Fun fact, shes an NFL Super Bowl Cheerleader married to a National Champion college football player!

Makenzie is a great addition to our team. Her friendly, bubbly personality makes her a great fit for us! Makenzie has a kind and caring heart with a passion for helping others. You will find her outdoors, hiking or boating on the lake in her spare time.

Heather is new to the orthodontic field and loves being part ofour Super Smiles Team! Her and her husband Chris have been married 17 years and have three handsome boys. They moved to Idaho from Arizona 17 years ago and love all four seasons! She loves spending time with her family, boating in the Summer, DIY projects with her husband and interior decorating. She is a great addition to our team!

Sandis career really began decades ago raising Dr Sam! She has been working behind the scenes, creating appliances for our patients the past 15 years. Sandi and her husband, Garth, are the proud parents of 10 wonderful children and many grandchildren (33!). When not busy at work, Sandi loves to bake, serve others, spend time with her great family, sew, dance, and garden. Her favorite pastime is anything family! She is our mentor and a great example to all of us, we are blessed to have her.

Morgan has been a part of our Super Smiles Team for 10 years. Her caring nature and pleasant disposition make her someone special to work with. Morgan and her husband, Camden, love to hike and discover new lakes and rivers in Idaho with their puppy, Duke. Morgan is also an accomplished ballet, jazz and hip hop dancer. In her spare time, you will find her planning weddings, being crafty and watching Greys Anatomy.

Penny has been in the dental/orthodontic field for 30 plus years. She has a passion for orthodontics & has been with us for 2 years. Penny is one of our stand-up comics, keeps us in stitches at work! She is super fun to be around! Penny & her husband just celebrated 25 yrs together, have 4 beautiful children, 3 dogs & raise quails. In her spare time, Penny loves traveling to the coast, camping and baking amazing cakes/cookies for special occasions.

Kennedy joined our team in the beginning of 2020, but has been part of the orthodontic field since 2015, and we are excited to have her be a part ofour Super Smiles team. She has been married for 6 years and has three beautiful girls. When not happily helping patients, you can find her cozied up with a book or catching the latest movies.

Nicole came to us a few years ago new to the orthodontic field. She is smart, hardworking and a great addition to our team! She likes to spend time with her friends and family! She is super excited about being an Aunt to her first little nephew! When she isn't working she loves spending time outdoors and doing crafts! We love having Nicole on our team!!

Lexi has lived in Idaho her entire life, graduated from Eagle High School. She loves meeting new people and is passionate about helping others. Lexi played Volleyball for 7 years and still plays and coach any chance she gets. When she is not in the office you will find her exploring the great outdoors, rafting, fishing or camping with her family!

Mandy comes to us from a thriving practice with several years experience. Since Penny is her mom, she has the great benefit of growing up around orthodontics and is crazy about teeth! Mandy is one of six children who grew up in the Eagle area and when not at work, she loves to explore the outdoors with her dog, Ollie. She plans on attending BSU and will major in Geo Science. Her love of gems and the environment, makes her a perfect fit for the Gem State.

Jaime has been in the dental field over 20 years. In her spare time she loves spending time with her family. She has three active kids, a loving husband, and lots of family! She loves being in the mountains, camping, wake surfing, snowmobiling, watching her kids grow and play sports! We are so excited to have Jaime in our office sharing all her expertise and knowledge.

Our practice is an encouraging and compassionate place we want our patients to succeed in their treatments! We offer monthly contests, incentives for proper dental care, and a reward system for following our doctors orders. We are also an accommodating and caring environment. If we notice that a patient is nervous about their treatment, we ensure that we explain all the details about a procedure to make the patient feel at ease.
