Dr. Randolph Meraz opened Super Smiles Family Dental in Indio, CA, in 1981. In 2018, Dr. Merazs son, Dr. Michael Meraz, joined him in his practice. Our office is located in the Jefferson Plaza at the intersection of Jefferson St. and Hwy 111. We are directly across the street from Shields Date Garden.
Dr. Michael Meraz and his family are excited to finally return to the Coachella valley. He is a native of the desert being born and raised in Indio and graduating from Indio High School. He went on to attend San Diego state University where he received his Bachelor of Arts and completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the USC School of Dentistry in Los Angeles. After graduating dental school, Dr. Michael entered the active duty Army. He was commissioned in the Army as a Captain and stationed at Joint Base Lewis McChord in Washington state. He was a practicing dentist on post for 3 and a half years. It was there where he was able to greatly expand his dental knowledge and train with some of the best specialists in the entire military. He greatly enjoyed his time in the service, so much so that he is still a part of the California Army National Guard and dedicates a weekend a month to the military. Dr. Michael returned from his military duty with double the family size. He and his wife Alyna had two children during their time in the military, Genevieve and Nicolas. They enjoy spending time with their family and traveling as much as possible with little children. Dr. Michael and Alyna couldnt be more excited to finally return home and become an integral part of the family practice.
Dr. Randy Meraz has been a pillar of the Indio community for nearly 40 years. After graduating from Cal State Fullerton with a Bachelor of Science, he attended the USC School of Dentistry and received his doctorate in 1980. Soon after graduation, Dr. Meraz moved his entire family to the Coachella valley and began practicing in Indio in 1980. He has remained in Indio ever since, having locations within the Indio Fashion Mall, in the Stater Bros shopping center and finally our current location on Hwy 111 and Jefferson. Dr. Meraz has spent his last 39 years becoming a big part of the Indio community. He spent 25 years as an active member and president of Junior All-American football and spent 12 years coaching football at Indio High School. He has also been a very active member in dental outreach events throughout his years in the Coachella valley. He and his wife Patty have 5 children, 4 boys and 1 girl. All of their children have gone on to have successful careers in their own right and 2 are veterans of the United States Navy and Army. Dr. Meraz is a man of faith and has welcomed many patients into his practice with open arms. It is a frequent comment around the office that No one can work on my mouth except Dr. Meraz. He has spent years building an outstanding reputation in the community and will do so for many years to come.

My dentist for over 15 yrs. Dr. Meraz (dad) was great and now his son, Dr. Meraz took over as my primary and I couldn't be more pleased. Office staff is friendly- you feel like family.

Amy and Liz from front office are very welcoming everytime I am there. Ana and Dr. Michaels bed side manner is very gentle, I usually get very nervous before any dental procedure and they both made me feel very comfortable and at ease. If you are looking for a dentist in the indio area Super Smiles is the place 100% recommend them. Thank you all for your amazing service. God bless.

I highly recommend Dr. Meraz and the Super Smiles office for ANY of your dental needs. The front office staff are friendly and very accommodating. Their hygienists are gentle, knowledgeable, and very thorough. Dr. Michael Meraz has a great "chair-side" manner and explains your diagnosis and treatment plan completely. Again, I highly recommend this office.

Hooray! After living in Coachella Valley for 6 years, I have finally found a great dentist. I had tried two other dentists in the Palm Desert area and both were extremely over-priced, up-sell techniques were pushy and extreme and the service was only mediocre. One dentist I only saw for less than 30 seconds after being told I needed $18,000 worth of work on my teeth! After a recommendation, I can say that I have finally found a great place. The staff are super nice and friendly, Dr. Michael is knowledgeable, answers questions and gives you different options for your care, while not rushing. The hygienists are gentle and knowledgeable. If you are looking for thorough, yet affordable care, I highly suggest Supersmiles.

Woah, what an incredible group of individuals. Starting from the front to the back, everyone is very friendly, helpful and very informative. Liz and Lorena makes you feel at home when you arrive, very personable. The dentist whose name I forget was very down to earth and made me feel really comfortable. Great place and very recommended.
