Dr. Habib is originally from Central Florida. She grew up with a family of dentists. When she was younger, she used to work at her Mom's dental practice, which is where she quickly learned all about dentistry and fell in love with the field.
Dr. Habib received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee. She went on to further her education in a prestigious 1 year residency program at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey.
After completing her training, Dr. Habib returned to Florida to run the family practice for a few years. In 2017, she decided to move back to New Jersey where she furthered her clinical skills by working in Manhattan at a multi-specialty practice.
In her free time, Dr. Habib enjoys doing volunteer work and mission trips. In the past, she has participated in several volunteer events to help the underserved, including Mission of Mercy and Free Dentistry Day. She has also served on several mission trips including a few trips to Bolivia and Egypt.

Warning, Dr. Habib was very nice but it seemed like she and her assistant were trying to benefit off the fact that I'm young. She asked for payment for a root canal before even submitting it to the insurance. When I told her I could not pay over 700 right there she even asked and said I could call someone else to give their card info to pay half the money!!! What office asks for payment before even submitting it to the insurance?In addition, there was definitely some fear mongering going on as well as she said some crazy things like the X-rays is missing 30% of the actually teeth so really it's worse and she said I would need many more procedures, that I would also have to pay before its even billed to the insurance. They did not ask for a copay but for me to pay the bill! They give you a hand out showing an estimate but everything is different, how should I pay when the insurance hasn't even been billed? I've worked in medical billing and this is NOT the correct procedure so be careful. Although I would not recommend this place, if you do go, try going with someone else so they won't try to take advantage of you. After this experience I ran out of there and definitely won't come back.

I have serious teeth issues, but Dr Habib has been great. Also, I highly recommend her for anyone who is self-conscious about their teeth. She talks to you like she's your primary care physician - honest, caring and non-judgmental. And for how bad my teeth are, it's been pretty pain-free. Also, I very much appreciate that Dr Habib takes the time to make sure her work is perfect.

I have known Dr. Habib for many years and she is an amazing dentist. When she numbed me up, I didn't feel a thing. I trust her for all of my dental needs. She goes out of her way to take care of her patients while making the experience relaxing.

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Habib and her staff (Alison)! Dr. Habib has excellent bedside manner and has a very clean office! She makes you feel comfortable and thoroughly explains your concerns and issues. You can tell she is very knowledgeable and honest! Dr. Habib and Alison go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and that all of your needs are met. They even provide a cost sheet if you need to get extensive dental work done. This is especially helpful if you are on a strict budget. I will be referring my whole family here.

This was a great experience! I had my first visit with Dr.Mariam Habib yesterday. Her bedside manner was excellent. She seemed very knowledgeable and explained everything thoroughly to me as I have alot of dental problems. I am usually nervous and scared of the dentist but her calm demeanor put me at ease immediately. I already scheduled my next appointment to get some work done. I would highly recommend her!

Received stellar care with Dr. Habib, our new Nutley dentist! She is caring, professional and meticulous with safety measures. I've visited several times now and have realized that she's also a perfectionist! Can't recommend her more highly plus, her receptionist Alison is equally hardworking and a pleasure.
