Disorganized and unprofessional. Left me with a unsettled feeling. The dr. said they would run the procedure through insurance and five weeks later I have received nothing. I emailed repeatedly to get a status report. No one replies. Called and they said, Oh yes we'll get it sent in to my insurance. They never did. Doesn't take long to get PAT back from the insurance. Why not say they cannot help me and be honest? When I had an Xray, the technician didn't have a mask on until I asked her to put it on. When I told the doctor (Isabelle) that, she didn't care. She didn't apologize and didn't seem to get how unprofessional that is. About my Xray, the doctor (Isabelle D) said it would cost $80 but she didn't check my insurance before saying that. It was covered. Plus, there is no hand railing to the steps going in--that is a UDL and ADA violation. In retrospect, it is good this all happened because I am taking my teeth elsewhere. If it feels wrong it is. May you have a better experience if you choose to go here. Wishing this office all the best in professionalism going forward!

This place is overcrowded, staff is very unprofessional and they rush you through your visit! as seen in picture gloves on floor near where patients recover. No covid restrictions or guidelines too many people small waiting area. so of I could rate 0 Stars I would.

Not disability-friendly. Navigating the super long staircase (with a not so stable handrail) with my cane, didn't give me a great feeling going in. After I filled out and returned the War & Peace stack of New Patient forms, I was informed of a $30 copay. I did not have $30. No one mentioned a $30 copay when I made the appointment. Had I known there was a $30 copay (for X-rays), I would not have traveled allllll the way from Staten Island to Sunset Park, Brooklyn. I asked the front desk staff person to reschedule me, but when she said "When would you like to come back?" something came over me: "Can you shred my documents please," I replied. Truthfully, respectfully, I would NOT like to come back. And with that, I left...back down the dangerous disability-unfriendly staircase.

Dr Shah is great and know what's he is doing. I had my mail wisdom tooth extracted at his office ( I think I had 2 extract at his office ) in 2 min, I saw some were complaining about him for silly reasons i think ,yes the office could be crowded sometimes but the service itself was great for me.

Highly recommend going to Dr. Shah for any oral surgeon needs. I had to get 3 wisdom teeth removed and he was so amazing to have during it all. Dr. Shah was so patient in explaining me how things work & kept asking me how I'm doing. Plus, he's so funny! The staff and assistants were so unbelievable as well. The nurse today practically held my hand while getting sedated and local anesthesia. That really helped calm the nerves. I'm so grateful I was referred here. 5 stars for everything. Great work! Highly recommend if you need any oral surgeon needs. Thank you everyone!

The staff were pretty nice but the actual Dentist lacked bedside manner Very insulting and disrespectful I'm supposed to return in two weeks but that's definitely not gonna happen Couldn't be put to sleep because I had no one to accompany me when he started having difficulty pulling the tooth it became my fault that I didn't get put to sleep so in a nutshell he should retire

They said I had to pay because they said my insurance didn't cover it (in the middle of the surgery!) But my insurance did cover it and 5 months I'm still waiting for my refund. That's double billing for the same job. The poor staff is overworked and probably underpaid so it's hard to get a resolution. But the surgeon did a good job in the end.

these reviews honestly had me scared that i'd be charged some unnecessary fees despite having an insurance. the reviews here are really inaccurate, my experience was great, i was explained what to do after the tooth extraction as well. they called me to confirm my appointment, and everyone was super nice!!

I had a great experience, the oral surgeon was nice, the staff was nice. I don't have insurance and had to pay 1200 to get a tooth pulled along with getting knocked out and an X-ray. I have a card that gives me 25% off. Seems like a lot but at the same time I would have done anything to get that tooth out as I was in extreme pain

The staff and the doctor were very professional. I had my right lower wisdom tooth removed with just local anesthetic. I will recommend this place, to all my friends.

I had been putting off going to the DDS/Surgeon due to a bad experience years ago. It caused severe anxiety issues about DDS, and Oral Surgery; so I never went back and as a result of course, my teeth were rotted. Finally I couldn't handle the pain, or my smile anymore, so I made an appointment here. Surprisingly I am no longer anxious about Oral Surgery and actually; I cant wait to go back to "Sunset Park Oral Surgery" and get my health and smile back! They were extremally helpful in making everything a pain and worry free experience! They also take almost all insurance and I could not be happier to have found Sunset Park Oral Surgery and cant wait for my new found confidence and smile! My only regret is not finding a good Oral Surgeon near me in Brooklyn years ago; which would have saved me so much misery, anxiety, pain and money! Make an appointment and add it to your Google, Microsoft, or Picalink Pad notebook and calendars today! Kieran, 5G Day Trading.

This is the worse place to bring anyone. I came with my 8 year old daughter. Wasn't seen until after an hour later. After I came with my other kids who were not allowed in and I had to find someone to keep them. So I wouldn't have to waste my time having came in the first place. People came in after my daughter and was seen first. The front desk was pretending to not know we were here first. The dr instead of finding out why I was frustrated - threatened to not see my kid after we sat and waited patiently for so long and than got upset having seen everyone else seen before my kid. After I said out loud I will be giving this place a bad review.

Not going to lie, I was a bit skeptical considering the reviews on here, but the experience at Sunset Park Oral Surgery was positive. My wisdom teeth extraction was pretty quick and I was given the decision to do the CT scan (which I opted in to do). The doctor gave me a bunch of options and was very informative and nice. At no point did I feel rushed to make a decision and had time to consult with a friend (who is also a dentist) on the path I should take. I decided not to be sedated and the procedure for my two wisdom teeth was done in under 10 minutes (after receiving the local anesthesia... which always sucks at first but was fine). Also, I called the day before and they were able to squeeze me in next day to get my wisdom teeth removed which was a huge bonus since every other oral surgeon I called was scheduled out 2-10 weeks.

The place is horrible absolutely worst office. My wife have an appointment for a wisdom teeth extraction and they want to me $ 800 for both side. One side is $500. I told Dr. Shah my wife have an medicaid managed FIDELIS care. Shah replied to me they should get a CT which is not covered any kind of insurance in u.s.a. Dr. Shah and his staff never told me that they are out of network for the FIDELIS insurance because anyway they want money. If I go any other place I did not need co payment . They stole my $500.dr. shah and his staff is very rude and disrespect ful. Don't go anyone obey there.they are very rude with my 2 baby. Jesal shah is a fraud and disrespect to me and my wife. They Need to close immediately to fraudulent with people and completely disrespect business practices.

I would not refer anyone here. Staff rude but the doctor is nice. Very small and they took my money and didn't complete the service on my mouth and sent me home in pain. $500 to still walk around in pain is ridiculous oh and then the won't give me the X-rays for my mouth. So I paid for a xray can't get my tooth pulled or any meds. Who does that. Oh sunset park dental does.

Had to come here to get 2 very infected teeth removed. I put off going for a while because I was nervous about the procedure. I arrived and was told to go upstairs. The front desk ladies were friendly, the only issue was that I had to stand since all the chairs were taken. The woman doing my x-ray was extremely friendly and made me feel comfortable. After being called into the room, I freaked out at the thought of being sedated. Dr. Shah was very friendly and professional, explaining that a procedure like this would be very uncomfortable without it. I still refused and he fully respected my decision, giving me just local anesthesia. Dr. Shah worked fast and the whole thing was completely painless. He made sure to communicate with me during the extraction to make me feel more comfortable. Afterwards I wasn't in any pain and the assistant explained what I had to do (not eat solids, take the antibiotics, etc.) They sent a prescription to my pharmacy, didn't charge a copay, and I was on my way. Definitely would come back here if I ever need work done again.

Very friendly & professional, Staff & Doctor. Also moves pretty quickly. I waited no more than 25 minutes all together and there were a few people there but, smooth process. I had two wisdom tooth pulled out in less than 3 minutes & went well. I came from Staten Island to Brooklyn. Will do it again if I need to. Highly recommend this office. 5 In my book.

The oral surgeon genuinely doesn't care about you, he just wants his $400 for a CT scan that you apparently "need" so he can scam you.
