Dr. Amanda Rae Kronquist DDS, MS earned a Bachelor of Science at Bucknell University in 2010, a Masters of Science in Biomedical Science Policy and Advocacy at Georgetown University in 2011, and a Doctor of Dental Surgery at Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry at the University of the Pacific in 2015. Dr. Kronquist has further training in Endodontics and Periodontal surgery, and has completed a Master Clinician Program in Implantology. She is on the Alumni Association Board of Directors for Arthur. A Dugoni School of Dentistry, and she is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Orange County Dental Society.
In her practice, Dr. Amanda Rae Kronquist DDS, MS focuses on patient education. Her treatment philosophy is anchored in patient-centered, minimally invasive, comprehensive dental care that utilizes the newest research-based techniques and technology to create a comfortable and enjoyable experience for her patients.
When shes not busy creating healthy and beautiful smiles, Dr. Amanda Rae Kronquist DDS, MS enjoys training for triathlons, geocaching, travelling, and spending time with her four fur babies (two dogs and two cats) and wife.
Dr. Zakary Adam Kronquist DDS earned a Bachelor of Science at High Point University in 2012, and a Doctor of Dental Surgery at Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry at the University of the Pacific in 2018. Dr. Zakary will be furthering his training in Endodontics and Periodontal surgery and complete a Master Clinician Program in Implantology in the near future.
In his practice, Dr. Zakary emphasizes patient education and communication in order to facilitate a doctor-patient relationship built on trust and shared decision making. To Dr. Zakary, care must becollaborative, coordinated, and accessible to his patients. His treatment philosophy is rooted in patient-centered, minimally invasive, comprehensive dental care that utilizes the newest research-based techniques and technology to create a comfortable and enjoyable experience for his patients.

Sunset Dental provides great care. Dr. Amanda Kronquist fit me into her schedule to repair a filling completed by a previous dentist. She was very caring and gentle. Dr. Kronquist took special care to listen to my goals and needs and I highly recommend her to everyone.

first time to the dentist in over 20 years and i'm glad i went here. the staff are friendly, dr amanda is so kind and patient. she was so sympathetic of my anxiety of being there. she told me i could take as many breaks as i needed to not overwhelm me and the way she explained what was wrong was easy to understand. you can tell she loves what she does and she was super gentle, cracking jokes and making sure i was ok every step of the way. can't believe i'm saying this but i enjoyed being there.

This is by far the best dentist office I have ever visited. The office staff and assistants are kind, helpful, and gentle during x rays and cleanings. I have seen all of the dentists and they are all amazing. They are thorough, but also don't look for things to fix for a paycheck. I really appreciate the conservative approach to dentistry. The focus is on the patient and health of teeth and gums, rather than making money. I am moving out of state and plan to come back here for my dentist visits. They are the best!!

Everyone in the dentist office was incredibly nice had my tooth pulled with absolutely zero pain would highly recommend and I plan on coming back for any more dental work

I've been a patient at Sunset Dental for about twenty years, now. There was a brief period where I moved out of the area, but as soon as I moved back, I returned to Sunset. I had my first extractions there. Then braces (the first time). I've seen the office go through multiple renovations and staff iterations. A lot has changed over the years; however, there's one thing that's remained a constant, and that is the friendly, caring staff. Alma, Rosa, Mo, Jose, Dr. Amanda, Dr. Zach, and Dr. Jerry + others whom I'm forgetting (sorry), have always made me feel like a top priority. They've been understanding and always accommodating no matter what situation I presented them. I'm now on my second round of ortho, twenty years later (wear your retainers), and couldn't imagine going through the whole process, all over again without Sunset Dental overseeing my care.

I'm a dentist fraidy-cat!! My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Jerry for many years. When I visit it's because I'm having an issue with my teeth. We have put off going for the past year due to the coronavirus. My husband and I finally returned yesterday. I can't praise this place enough! I always thought they were awesome but my appt. yesterday was exceptionally pleasant. All the safety virus protocols were followed. I felt like I was with family, the kindness, the smiles, to the way Dr. Amanda made me feel relaxed and safe. She explained every detailed procedure. From X-rays to a replacement crown the whole staff works together seamlessly and professionally! Love, love love this place even if I'm always reluctant to go...

Jose did an incredible job with my cleaning and Dr Jerry, Dr Amanda and Dr Zac came to chat and ask about how "the family" is. You can't find a better dental office. Sunset Dental deserves 10 'S!!!

Best dentist I've been to .last 3 couldn't get my mouth fixed. Sunset had me in and out in 4 hr with a completely new mouth .haven't stopped getting comments about how good they look .I will send all my friends and family to sunset !!!
