Education in addition to completing specialty residency programs, annual continuing training and education are critical in order to provide care that is in line with the most up-to-date evidence-supported treatment modalities and technology.
He is uniquely dual specialized as a Pediatric Dentist and Endodontist (Root Canal Specialist). He earned a BS in biomedical engineering from the Johns Hopkins University and a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) Degree in 2003 from the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. After Dental school, Dr. Diune completed a General Practice Residency in Hospital Dentistry at the University of Michigan. Being intrigued by instrumentation and engineering, Dr. Diune returned to Columbia University where he completed his Endodontics specialty training in 2006.
Early in his career, Dr. Diune provided endodontic care to both adults and children and was the recipient of many Top Dentist awards yearly. During this time working with children alongside their parents, he saw an essential need for experienced specialists who understood the complexities of a childs present and future oral and emotional health when faced with challenges such as root canal issues and potential loss of teeth. This need inspired Dr. Diune to return to training and completed a Pediatric Dentistry residency in 2017 from NYU Langone Medicine at St. Joseph Health Center in Providence, RI.
Raised in Lexington, MA and southern NH, Dr. Denise Chow is dedicated to serving the community she loves. During her undergraduate years at Boston College, she studied biochemistry and studio art, and realized dentistry could combine both her passions beautifully. She went on to complete her dental training at Columbia University, receiving her degree in 2004. In dental school, she met her husband Dr. John Diune, and is very thankful she can share her career and life with him.
She went on to specialize in Orthodontics because she loves the great reward that orthodontic treatment can provide for an individual. In 2007, she completed her Orthodontics specialty degree at New York University. While at NYU, she treated patients of all ages in the heart of Manhattan with Invisalign, self-ligating brackets and lingual orthodontics. She loves that each patient has an individual orthodontic journey, and she is passionate about guiding each one to the same outcome- the best smile! A smile makes each person unique, and Dr. Chow is honored to help each individual shine their smile.
Her favorite month of the year is February, which is National Childrens Dental Health Month. She uses this opportunity to visit local preschools and elementary schools to share the importance of keeping our teeth healthy. She is an active member of American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontics, Massachusetts Dental Society and Give Kids A Smile. Outside the office, she enjoys running, photography, cooking & baking, spending time with family and friends, and growing in her faith.

Dr. John is the best!! I called them as a brand new patient and he treated me as if we had known each for years. He was able to figure out what other dentists couldn't within in minutes and now my tooth pain is gone. Thank you Dr John and the staff that work at Sunrise!!

We loved our visit to Sunrise today! The doctor and staff are fantastic; the office is bright and new; they intentionally avoid packing the place with patients like some dentists; best of all they give all their attention and effort to your kids. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a new pediatric dentist. Thank you Dr. D and staff!

Wow we had a great experience taking our toddler to Sunrise for her very first dental check up. The waiting area us clean and has fun toys. The dental room was very nicely set up too. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. And Dr. D was super great with our kid. He was patient and funny. He made the kid so comfortable. And the coin machine for capsule toys at check out, what! Our kid had a great time.

I was looking for a local pediatric dentistry for my 3 year-old son and I'm glad I tried Sunrise dentistry. Their office is brand new and everything is up to date, clean, and so well organized and most of all, there is a TV on the ceiling which saved my sanity while I was wrestling with my toddler to lay him down. Dr. Diun even said it's okay to just sit on the chair and he immediately interacted with my son to show him how the things work around the room. My toddler's first ever check up finished with smile and a surprise treat. Now my oldest is going to Sunrise as well! Highly highly recommend!

Dr. John Dune was so great with my kids who are on the autism spectrum. He is extremely patient and engaged. I can't recommend this place enough. My children look forward to coming back and so do I.

Recently opened, everything is new. A really great place, very kid friendly. Awesome experience for our 3 year old. They have a kids area in the front and the offices are also built for kids. Staff is very good with kids. Would recommend. I'm glad we found this place.

Dr. Diune and his team were great! He's thorough, understands the patients needs and explains the treatment plan clearly. The clinic is clean and has great tools and tech to give you the best visit. The place has lots of parking too!

Sunrise pediatric dentistry is AMAZING. I have had such a positive experience here with my son. The office environment is so friendly and welcoming. My son has seen Dr. John Diune at the practice and he is great with my son! I would highly recommend this practice for anyone with children. They office is very accommodating and understanding. They make sure you understand absolutely everything that is being done and all options you have on the table.

Had a great experience with root canal. No pain during Procedure and no pain after. Finished my root canal in one visit. Would highly recommend Mr. Diuene. He was very patient and always making sure I was comfortable. Thank you so much and will definitely will come back for my next root canal.

Brought our kids to Sunrise Pediatric Dentistry for their checkups and we had a wonderful experience with Dr. Diune and his staff. My kids were comfortable and relaxed during their checkup. Dr. Diune was super kind and attentive. Everything in the office is up to date, we were able to see a tooth up close on a TV! The office is easy to get to and has plenty of parking. Super happy with how everything went!

This place was great! When first walking inside, I was impressed with how pristine the office was. They did a great job understanding my child and working through some of his nervousness. They also spent the time making sure that both myself and my child understood everything.
