Dr. Sanders has five children, four of whom have gone through orthodontic treatment. He can truly relate well to parents and what they experience during their son or daughters treatment. Dr. Sanders and Dr. Kim will never recommend treatment they wouldnt provide to their own families.

I feel blessed to be a part of such a rewarding profession. It is my goal to make a difference in my patients lives through thoughtful treatment plans that maximize smiles. Seeing the transformations my patients go through is one of the most fulfilling parts of my career. My team and I work very hard to achieve beautiful smiles, build self-esteem and exceed patients expectations.

I was born and raised in Humboldt County, California. After completing my undergraduate studies at La Sierra University in Riverside, I went on to receive my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. I earned my degree in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics with honors and was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society, which prides itself on academic excellence and character.

My life revolves around my family. We are always doing something active with our children: swimming and playing in the summer, and skiing at Sierra at Tahoe in the winter. I love my wife and family and feel like raising my children is my highest calling. Nothing is better than having fun with my kids!

I think it is extremely rewarding to be able to use my skills to help children in need and give back to my community. I have participated in the Smiles for Kids program since moving to the region in 2010. The program provides pro-bono orthodontic care to children whose families would not be able to receive care due to financial constraints.

I feel incredibly lucky to be able to help people obtain beautiful, healthy smiles. Seeing people of all ages gain confidence is such a rewarding experience, and I am blessed to be able to do what I love every single day.

I attended Andrews University for my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. I then went on to receive my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry with honors in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. Afterward, I stayed at LLUSD to obtain my masters degree and certificate in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. I am a member of the California Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

I grew up in a family of four and inherited a love of teeth from my dad, a family dentist in Athens, GA. My brother and I would often hang out at his dental office, and I watched my dad work with fascination. My mom loves to tell stories about finding me pretending to do dental work on my stuffed animals. This love of dentistry persisted as I got older, and Im happy to now be able to fulfill my childhood dreams every day.

When Im not working I love spending time in nature, especially if I can enjoy the outdoors with friends or family. Hiking, playing tennis, running, swimming, or hanging out in a hammock are all fair game, as well as skiing in the wintertime. Living in this area has been amazing for letting me indulge in all kinds of outdoor activities. On rainy days, I enjoy cooking, reading, playing my cello, journaling, and hanging out with friends.
