Dr. Jiyung Kang was born and raised in South Korea. He moved to the United States in 2003 to seek a better opportunity for his family. Before becoming a dentist, Dr. Kang honorably served in the U.S. Army as a Combat Medic and completed a tour in Iraq. While serving in the Army, he found his dedication to helping patients and rendering care to people in need.
Dr. Kang believes that as a dental provider, his most important goal is to treat patients like his family and to ensure that they have the best experience possible during their visit. He is very interested in continuously enhancing the depth of his knowledge in dentistry and regularly takes continuing education courses in various areas.
Excellent service from every member of the staff. They did everything they could to make sure I was comfortable and understood the procedure. If you are looking for a team that works well together try Sunrise Dental.

I'm not fond of going to see a dentist but this place is great. The staff and Dr Kang are stellar and put me at ease. If you are apprehensive about going to see the dentist I highly recommend this office ! What are you waiting for?

This place saved my life. I was being seen by another Dentist and was being misdiagnosed for 6 months. I was in the worst pain of my life when I finally decided to make a change and come here. They were attentive, caring, passionate, and professional. I felt heard and valued as a patient. They were quick to get in and find the diagnoses. I am from the coast, was in Eugene and was in desperate need of an extraction for an abscessed tooth, The front end girls were very sympathetic and got me an appointment the same day, Edna and Dr. Kang performed superbly, it took less than an hour and I was on my way, y'all rock! Dr. Kang and his staff are thorough, knowledgeable, and friendly. Took time to work with me and explain everything. Felt at ease, given I had gone almost 10 years without seeing a dentist. They don't take OHP currently, but they helped me explore payment plans that made all of the services affordable. I called because of dental pain and I had an appointment in just 2 days. Looking forward to my follow-up!

They were able to remove my wisdom teeth day of on really short notice. Kind and skilled dentist and staff made the experience a positive one. Very reasonable prices for uninsured patients. Procedure went smoothly and I am recovering well from the extraction!

So I'll start with I've always been very nervous to go to the doctors period especially the dentist because of the shots. Not only was the dentist and the assistant absolutely awesome, but he was so gentle and I didn't even feel a single poke, pinch nothing when getting the shots. They will be my go to moving forward period. Great staff and amazing dentist.

Dr. Kang and his staff make going to the dentist enjoyable! I had a root canal and crown done. Not only was it painless, but the staff try to do everything in their power to make you comfortable and set you at ease. I really wish I would've found a dentist like this 20 years ago!

I can't say enough good things about these guys. I woke up with an emergency and they had me in I'm less then two hours. I had two teeth pulled. The staff was so nice and helpful. I am terrified of the dentist. Dr.Jiyunh Kang was awesome. ...

Absolutely wonderful staff, friendly and upbeat. The office is clean and welcoming. Able to get in for an emergency extraction same day when every other office couldn't help. Fees were out of pocket but affordable,10/10 would recommend to anyone.

I don't think 5 stars is enough. Had an emergency got right in. All the staff and the dentists are amazing. I feel 1000 times better. They treat everyone like family. Best dentist office in eugene hands down

Both very friendly and competent. They were able to see me quickly when I was calling around and no one else could and fixed the issue right away. Cleanings and cavities have been taken care of just as as professional as can be

All the staff at Sunrise are extremely nice. They were able to get me in quickly when I needed to have a wisdom tooth removed. We drove up from Medford and I will absolutely recommend them to any of our IBEW brothers and sisters needing dental work down here.
