Yes, If your gum are bleeding, it probably means you are not brushing enough. Remember, brushing harder does not make up for quality time spent. In fact, on your oral hygiene brushing hard may lead into enamel erosion. Bleeding gums are not healthy. Healthy teeth and gums do not bleed when they are brushed and/or flossed!
It means you have gingivitis or periodontists. Gingivitis is acute of the gums and is reversible if treated and proper home care is maintained. Periodontists is a silent disease that affects the bone and tissues surrounding the teeth. Periodontists are not reversible, but it is treatable. If some gingivitis is not treated, it will lead into periodontitis.
It takes two working dental visits about 4-6 weeks apart. There are some planning visits prior to the working visits to determine what result you want and some follow-up bite adjustment visits. Porcelain veneers do not stain and are as strong as natural teeth. When properly placed they will not come off or break even when eating taffy, caramel, or corn on the cob. Like natural teeth, veneers may break also. You should still practice good dental home care.
The material typically contains about 50% mercury and even though the ADA has deemed it safe. It is still considered a toxic and hazardous material outside the mouth. In fact, several European countries have totally banned the use of the material. Amalgam fillings are very unaesthetic and because of corrosion typically turn dark with time. There are more aesthetic materials to use. Our office does not place amalgam fillings, unless it is asked by our patients.
This is what we call the filled to death syndrome. It happens when the tooth has become weak from the use of silver/mercury fillings and cannot hold up under normal chewing. This problem is easily corrected with Tooth-Colored Fillings or Bonded On lays.
Fees for our professional services may be paid in cash, personal check, major credit card or dental credit, which allows you to spread payments over an extended period of time. We dont ever want finances to keep you from receiving the dental care you deserve.

This is probably the worst dentist I have ever had the displeasure of being a patient at. I will start my review by saying that their phone systems are a nightmare. They always seem to be having troubles and there's always some sort of excuse as to why they couldn't reach you. You can barely get ahold of them. The prices at this office are ludicrously expensive. The dentist himself needs to learn a little humility and humanity. Every time I come in, it leaves me feeling more uneasy than anything. The worst of it is the filling they did on a tooth of mine. It was a rather large filling to begin with but he ended up doing it wrong. They ended up leaving decay in the tooth that has inevitably caused the tooth to rot from within. I refuse to come back into this office and have them fix it. I am now having to fly to and from Nevada to see my old dentist while I search for a better, more trustworthy dentist in the Mount Vernon region. It is wasting so much of my time and it takes forever to get there. This never would have been an issue if the dentist had done the job right the first time. I will never trust Sunrise Dental again.

I'm currently being advised to receive orthodontist treatment as a result of work I had done here. I used to go to sunrise in Arlington but moved so the Mt. Vernon location was closer. They took some very bright, high resolution pictures of my molars and I could see stains on the tops that he described as not being cavities yet but being a problem down the road. He drilled and filled 2 of the 8 (I later found out 2 per session was sort of the norm). Next apt. I expressed that I'd prefer to not miss another 2 days of work and drive from Oak harbor. He did the rest in that apt. which I thought was awesome. A little later I noticed my front teeth bumping each other causing what I would describe as a bruising sensation. When I came in to see about addressing the problem he tried to say that my new discomfort couldn't be from his work because the edges of the molars are the same height to which I responded "yes but they are staggered so that the inside edge of the top molars fit into the valley of the lower ones and the outside edge of the lower molars fit into the valley of the top molars" (which I'm sure he knew) "and they now have deeper valleys." The bite strip revealed that I was in fact rubbing my front teeth together. At this point he said I could purchase a night guard from them and that grinding off some of my front bottom tooth would probably remedy this problem. He told me refilling them was not an option. Another dentist explained that refilling is a bad idea because they would have to remove more of my natural tooth to get the fillings out and that my fillings, while not huge, were definitely not small either. After months of waiting for booked out appointments and discomfort three other dentist have now suggested my only option is to seek help from an orthodontist so that in years to come I don't have trouble with my front teeth or even chip them.

Dr. Dehghan is excellent, and has worked wonders for my teeth. I appreciate the time and patience of the Dr. and his team, they always make sure I am as comfortable as possible. I used to despise going to the dentist and skipped going for many years, but Dr. Dehghan is gentle, and makes sure I am not in any pain. I am always well informed of the work that is being done, and can see the progress with pictures. They work with my busy work schedule too. I really trust them with my teeth and now visit regularly. Thank you to the team and Dr. Dehghan!

Reception area is great, Bailey is fantastic and always available for questions. Chris is always on point while helping the doctor perform my crown work. Dr. Khodayar Dehghan is doing a great job building and installing my crown. Two more apts and that is it for me hopefully.

Absolutely love this office! As a working mom you don't always focus on yourself, so trying to get in after work and around kids schedules is tough but Sunrise is ALWAYS willing to work with me on appointment times with staying open later! Thank yall so much :)

If you want a dentist who will put your own wellbeing at his highest priority you should visit Dr. Dehghan; he is highly knowledgable and professional. I came to him with very acute pain, I was incredibly stressed out. He eased my pain, had amazing bed side manners and got me the exact care that I needed in an astonishingly fast manner.
