In order to treat each other and every patient as an individual with unique dental needs, it is vital to completely assess their oral health. We perform an oral cancer screening, gums, muscles, and joints that open and close the mouth. We will look at your mouth, gums, and bone that hold the teeth in the periodontics and take photos and x-rays as necessary. With this information you and your doctor determine the treatment that is right for you.

Aesthetic dentistry is a facet dentistry that deals with enhancement, restoration, and maintenance of optimal dental health specifically designed for you. It is based on artistic creation in a framework of sound scientific principles. It utilizes the most advanced techniques and materials to give natural looking and feeling results that can greatly enhance your life

Yes, If your gum are bleeding, it probably means you are not brushing enough. Remember, brushing harder does not make up for quality time spent. In fact, on your oral hygiene brushing hard may lead into enamel erosion. Bleeding gums are not healthy. Healthy teeth and gums do not bleed when they are brushed and/or flossed!

It means you have gingivitis or periodontists. Gingivitis is acute of the gums and is reversible if treated and proper home care is maintained. Periodontists is a silent disease that affects the bone and tissues surrounding the teeth. Periodontists are not reversible, but it is treatable. If some gingivitis is not treated, it will lead into periodontitis.

It takes two working dental visits about 4-6 weeks apart. There are some planning visits prior to the working visits to determine what result you want and some follow-up bite adjustment visits. Porcelain veneers do not stain and are as strong as natural teeth. When properly placed they will not come off or break even when eating taffy, caramel, or corn on the cob. Like natural teeth, veneers may break also. You should still practice good dental home care.

The material typically contains about 50% mercury and even though the ADA has deemed it safe. It is still considered a toxic and hazardous material outside the mouth. In fact, several European countries have totally banned the use of the material. Amalgam fillings are very unaesthetic and because of corrosion typically turn dark with time. There are more aesthetic materials to use. Our office does not place amalgam fillings, unless it is asked by our patients.

This is what we call the filled to death syndrome. It happens when the tooth has become weak from the use of silver/mercury fillings and cannot hold up under normal chewing. This problem is easily corrected with Tooth-Colored Fillings or Bonded On lays.

Fees for our professional services may be paid in cash, personal check, major credit card or dental credit, which allows you to spread payments over an extended period of time. We dont ever want finances to keep you from receiving the dental care you deserve.

The staff at Sunrise Dental are great! The most comfortable and painless dental experience I've had, and I've had many dentists over the years. I actually look forward to the visits.

I am very fearful of the dentist, not to worry they treated me so much respect and kindness. Thank you so much for making a difficult appointment for me so much easier.

I'm always pleased with my experience at sunrise dental in Maple Valley, today was no exception. They did great work on my 5 year old who actually needed a filling. They were kind, positive and considerate all which obviously made my usually skittish 5 year old comfortable enough to get the fillings. I especially appreciate the 2 dental hygienist who worked on both my daughter and I. They always help to calm my nerves and make it a much more enjoyable experience than I've had in the past.

Awesome dentist and staff. Always friendly and helpful. Dr. Cheng takes the time to explain procedures in laymans terms and involves the patient... very honest and informs of pertinent issues and things that are not an immediate issue. Bounced around until i came here... will be my go to and recommend dentist

The BEST tooth experience ever! I doubt many people can say that about their dentist visit. I'm an old lady over 70 yrs old and I've experienced plenty of dental stuff. I was immediately impressed when I called the office (before my first visit there). The patience and care the entire office provided was exceptional. Dr. Jack showed confidence and sincerity. Tanya and Dianna were a big help with all of my confusing insurance questions. And the ladies that brought me in were just lovely! Everyone in the office really CARED! I'm getting some teeth implants done soon. And talk about calming an old lady with her anxiety! The doc really took his time to explain all the details through the whole thing. I especially love the stories he told about his dad being one of his first implant patients. It's a small office with heart. The same reason I moved to Maple Valley. Everyone should come here.

Terrible! I went there and was told of a lot of fillings. So I scheduled an appt and got in to "fix the cavities." But the same day and every day since I've endored agonizing pain. Then they tell me I have to get a root canal and charged me for it. When I believe they drilled way to much and low into my tooth and caused it. So I get the root canal (very painful). Gone in 3-4 times since complying of still tons of pain and my right side of my tongue being completely numb not working like it did before no taste buds and very painful! They tell me it will go away it will go away. It's still been months. So I asked to not have to still pay on my account because of the probably permit damage to my tongue and all the issues I now have from it. They already still get tons of money from my insurance. They didn't make me finish the $600 I had left but of course didn't give my money back that I paid. And looking at what they billed me and going online to my insurance I'm pretty sure they are doing insurance fraud. Trying to communicate still with them Tanya G. (office manager) blocks me from any further contact and kicks me out and not letting me come back to there clinic. Hey guess what tongue is still numb, painful, not functioning right, and no taste buds. And on top of that they clearly missed a nerve and I have to get another root canal or tooth extraction. I'm still in tons of pain and can't go anywhere since they caused me to have to go there all my dental insurance for the year. Do not go there! I am going to look into an attorney. I am not happy at all and this isn't right what so ever!!!!

What I extremely find convenient with Sunrise Dental is their flexibility in being open on Saturdays which comes in handy for those of us who commute. In my previous dentists, sometimes they would only be open four of the five work days making it even harder to adjust to my busy schedule. The Dentists are professional and knowledgeable and provide detailed plans should further work be necessary. They aren't necessarily kid focused if you are looking for that specific catering. Overall, very satisfied!
