Dr. Elizabeth is excited to be a part of the Sunnyvale Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics team! Dr. Elizabeth was born and raised in the Bay Area and is overjoyed to be back serving as a healthcare provider in the local community.

Early on, Dr. Elizabeth was inspired by her teachers and mentors to pursue a profession working with kids. During her undergraduate years at UCLA, she mentored with a student-adoptee organization on campus,China Care Bruins. After college, she attended Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where she further cemented her love of working with children through volunteer activities such as Give Kids a Smile Day, Special Olympics, and a community clinic for patients with special health care needs.

Following dental school, Dr. Elizabeth was delighted to move back close to her family to complete a dual pediatric dental residency and masters program at UCSF. This three-year program included extensive training in trauma management, advanced behavior management, and providing quality care for the most underserved in our community. Her research on silver diamine fluoride (a caries arresting medicament) has been published in Pediatric Dentistry, the authoritative journal in the field. Dr. Elizabeths commitment in being an engaged dental provider has led her all over the world, from lobbying for pediatric dentistry in D.C. and Sacramento, to volunteering in the Navajo nation in Arizona and the remote Panajachel, Guatemala.

Dr. Elizabeths favorite part about being a pediatric dentist is working with families to establish a dental home and customizing a treatment plan to one that is right for them understanding that everyones needs, values, and cultural experiences are unique. Dr. Elizabeth is excited to guide your children towards great oral health and cant wait to meet you and your family!

Beyond dentistry, Dr. Elizabeths passions include hiking with her dog, traveling with family and friends, amateur gardening, and BTS. Dr. Elizabeth is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Spanish, and conversational in Cantonese.

I am delighted to join the team at Sunnyvale Pediatric Dentistry. Being part of this dental office is a homecoming of sorts. I was born and raised right here in Sunnyvale, behind the haunted Toys R Us. I attended Resurrection Elementary from Pre-K to 8th grade, graduated from Saint Francis High School in 2006 and completed a degree in Exercise Biology at the University of California Davis.

After college, I received a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Temple University in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. I then went on to complete a one year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Columbia Basin Health Association in Washington State. During my time in Washington, I found that I loved working with and treating children. As a result, I pursued and finished a two year residency in Pediatric Dentistry with the New York University- El Rio Community Association in Tucson, Arizona.

As a pediatric dentist, it is my passion to help children cultivate a lifetime of great oral health. This begins by establishing a dental home during your childs first visit. My hope is that Sunnyvale Pediatric Dentistry is a place that children can feel comfortable and enjoy visiting. The Bay Area has always been a place I call home. It is an honor now to help and serve the community that raised me.

In my free time, I play basketball, go karaoke, and watch the Food Network. I love bay area sports and am a lifelong Warriors, 49ers and As fan. I also enjoy playing video games such as League of Legends and Fortnite (for hand-eye coordination purposes of course).

Amazing experience here, my toddler cried a lot before in other dentist office, but today she doesn't cry, and Gray took photo for my little one, Dr. Scott Nagi is so nice, he gives very professional suggestions. I definitely recommend my friend to take their little one here.

My 2 year old had her first dentist trip here! They gave us some great tips to prepare for her appointment, were very good about appointment reminders, and I was able to complete 90% of the paperwork online weeks before getting there. Devon and Dr. Scotty were super friendly and caring, we feel so lucky to have seen them!

Our two boys have seen almost every doctor there over the years: Dr Mark DalPorto, Dr Elizabeth, Dr Nancy, Dr Jeff, Dr Janice (for braces). Every time we had a great experience. We have been going to this office for more than a decade now. There is video in the ceiling, zero cavities club, sun glasses, and friendly, gentle people all around.

The office has definitely change but change is always great especially if it means keeping their staff and patients safe, I would like to thank you and let you know we appreciate all your new protocols. Always a pleasure taking my children in for their cleaning and procedures.

We always had great experience with Sunnyvale Pediatric Dentistry. Today my 4.5 y.o girl didn't cry for the first time thanks to Maria. She is super friendly, and knows how to work with kids. We've seen almost all doctors, and all of them are very professional, nice and friendly. They take a time and explain all the details.

Dr. Porto and his team is awesome. Maria helped take X-rays for my 5 year old. Very engaging during the process. She pampered him with care al through the cleaning process. Dr. Porto is lovely and very capable. The team knows how to treat the kids!

Amazing or Great service, friendly staff and clean office. They have been very patient with our toddler and always give her fun little toys and stickers at the end of the exam. The location is good. Not far from Sunnyvale downtown. The parking lot is available. I highly recommend this dentist for your kids.

They get the job done but not impressive by any measure - knowledge, care, attention.

Very unprofessional pricing and quoting system. I was presented with a quote by the office staff, and later told that the price was 2.5x higher than the quote. The office staff was not willing to have any flexibility and essentially refused to allow me to speak with anyone about the problem. I would highly recommend not using this dentist.

This was my 2nd time taking my son visit here. The 1st time was perfect. My son was 2 1/2 years then. The teeth cleaning assistance was so nice, so patient and the dentist was too. I remembered clearly she said cleaning was not the most important thing for this age. We just want kids to feel funny and warm to see the dentists so they love to come here all the time. But this time, 3 years old check, it was a horrible experience. The teeth cleaning assistance, Monica, did not say even one gentle word to my son. My son was very cooperated. But when he felt a little bit pain and uncomfortable, it's normal he wanted to get up or close mouth. But Monica just continually push him down and forced his mouth open without any patience. Yes, you saw the correct word, forced his mouth open. And she said: don't close your mouth, don't bite me. When my son wanted to spit out the polish thing, she made a voice of disgust was made and wiped his mouth rudely. OK, my son finally cried. But she just wanted to finish her job quickly and still want to continue. I finally said: stop it! stop it! give him some time. My son cried in the car after this and said he did not want to see the dentist any more.
