My name is Vinh Nguyen and I look forward to meeting you and your family. Let me tell you a little about myself. I come from modest beginnings. I immigrated to the United States at the age of 5, learning first-hand the importance of sacrifice and determination. As the youngest of 7, I learned a lot by listening, developing my independence and was taught the importance of respect. These are skills that are still very important in my every day practice.
I was raised in Stockton, but my parents moved to the Bay Area when I went to UC Berkeley as an undergraduate. Given its natural beauty, I fell in love with the Bay Area. I continued my dental degree at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, in San Francisco, where I received my doctorate degree in Dentistry and Orthodontics.
I believe in giving back to the community, as I have benefited so much from the help of others in my early years. Our practice donates to local schools, participates in fundraisers and health fairs, and enjoys being a positive influence to young students. Teaching has also been gratifying to me, but it also challenges me and allows me to keep current with new ideas. I was an instructor at University of the Pacific in dental anatomy and tutored students during dental school. Currently, I am an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Orthodontics at the University of the Pacific, instructing dental students in Invisalign treatment. Locally, I also enjoy giving lectures to dental professionals about orthodontic care.
Outside the office, most of my time is spent with my wife and two young daughters. This involves a lot of reading and going to soccer games . As my children grow up, I hope to be able to pick up some of my hobbies again along the way. In the very little time that is left over, I love to play golf, tennis and being outdoors. Someday, my hope is to teach at least one of my girls to play the cello, so it gives me the chance to play again (once upon a time, I played in the symphony at UC Berkeley). It would also be great to travel again.
Nelia enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as sewing, travelling, shopping and baking. She is the oldest of one sister, one brother, one niece and three nephews. She has lived in Santa Clara for over 40 years, since moving to the U.S. as a young child.

Thank you, Dr. Nguyen and the team for my Hollywood smile! I was supposed to have my Invisalign on for 18-24 months and ended up with a perfect smile at only 16 months!! Dr. Nguyen and his stuff has provided outstanding orthodontic care. The office team is very professional, polite and friendly. Dr. Nguyen uses the latest knowledge and technology to deliver the best result to the patients. I am extremely satisfied with the whole treatment and result of a healthy and beautiful smile.

19 Months later made million dollar smile. Thank you Dr. Nguyen & team for all the love, support and professionalism throughout this last year and a half. The braces treatment is affordable and they will help you work out your payments. I have grown to love this team, they have such a fun dynamic and professionalism. Anytime I had an issue with my braces I was able to get help immediately without trouble. They made sure I was comfortable and my needs were met. They communicate very well in regards to how the treatment is coming along or what is currently going on with my session. I always felt welcomed and well informed. I feel amazing and filled with confidence with my new smile and I have this awesome team to thank for that. I recommend this orthodontics for all ages. My mother, my younger brother and myself have worked with this team over the years.

The entire process was smooth and fast - I couldn't believe how fast 15 months flew by thanks to the entire crew at Sunnyvale Orthodontics. I've talked with Dr.Nguyen about my continuing treatment after I moved from Illinois to California. He was really nice and talked about the problems I have in very understandable words. He was very friendly and professional. Even though I finally decided to continue treatment with another doctor(due to some other concerns I have), I would still say Dr.Nguyen is a good orthodontist and I believe he could take good care of his patients.

The orthodontists here really welcome everyone. They explain everything they do to your teeth and always check if your mouth feels okay. The contests they have there are really interesting and it's fun to see what they have when you come for your checkup. If you're looking for an orthodontist, you should try out Aubert and Nguyen Orthodontics.

It took me awhile to decide to straighten my teeth so I wanted to find the right orthodontic office. After visiting multiple offices, I've been very happy with my decision in going with Dr. Nguyen and his team. When I first came in, everyone was super warm and friendly. Dr. Nguyen went over the exam, and was very thorough, explaining about my bite and all my options. He gave me the pros and cons of each treatment (Invisalign , braces) and quite frankly made me feel like he really cared about me. I liked that he didn't talk to me in all those fancy terms and made me understand the treatment. In the end, I chose Invisalign over braces because it fits better with my work and lifestyle. So far it's been great. I'm almost done with my treatment and have to say I am so glad I found this place. All the staff at the office have been so nice, especially Nelia, who has been very accommodating and flexible when I needed to switch my appointments. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Nguyen and his staff.
