Dr. Chung was born and raised in the Bay Area. She studied and trained at the prestigious University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, and completed a two year post graduate general practice residency in Central California. She enjoys traveling abroad, spending quality time with friends and family, and participating in volunteer and humanitarian work. She is a proud member of American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), and Santa Clara County Dental Society (SCCDS).
Dr. Meng was born in Manhattan, NYC. He grew up in Livingston, NJ and then Saratoga, CA. After attending Saratoga High School, he studied Biology at the University of the Pacific and Santa Clara University. He then went on to attend and trained at the world-renowned University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, CA.
After Dental School, Dr. Meng completed extensive additional training in Cosmetic Dentistry and Oral Implantology. Dr. Meng is aDiplomate of the International Dental Implant Association, a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and an active member of the American Academy of CosmeticDentistry.
Dr. Meng has been awarded with the prestigious level of Platinum Elite Invisalign Orthodontic Provider. With many years of experience and many successful Invisalign cases completed, Dr. Meng was awarded with the Platinum Elite Invisalign OrthodonticProvider level for many consecutive years.

I've been a patient with Sunnyvale Dental Aesthetics and have always had a great experience. I started in the Los Gatos office which was much more convenient for me, but it's worth the trouble of driving to their Sunnyvale office from south San Jose. Dr. Meng and Dr. Ta are the dentists I've seen over the years and both are wonderful. I've always had great experiences with their hygienists also. The office staff are very helpful and accommodating. I feel very confident that I'm getting the best dental care possible.

This dental office is Amazing! I was referred by coworkers at Apple and have Metlife insurance. I'm grateful they explained to me all the benefits I didn't even know about. I recently finished Invisalign treatment and porcelain veneers with Dr. Meng. I absolutely love my new smile! I highly recommend this dental office!

But I've continued to return because I feel I get pleasant personal service and quality dental care. And I've since also recommended this office to colleagues and friends for their own care. Everyone at SDA is professional, caring, and friendly. As one who is not a fan of visiting the dentist (never have been), Dr. Meng and staff are wonderful and on every visit have I always been put at ease. My husband and I have been patients of SDA for over a decade...the longest I have ever been with a dentist. I plan on decades more!

I had a crown done here and paid extra for the "premiere" service. Everyone is nice but was it worth it? Eh? I decided to scheduled a cleaning with them. They send about 20 reminders via text and email over days before your appt. When I get there for a cleaning and check in, the receptionist says "your going to have a copay today". I said ok, and was thinking a $25-$30 normal copay which I was willing to pay. Thank goodness I asked her how much the copay was going to be! She quietly said $185! Sorry but that's not a copay. I felt like she was trying to hide the price by calling it a copay to get me in the chair. She blamed it on my Delta Dental insurance. I have never had to pay a dime to get a cleaning in all my life. I would have appreciated you telling me AHEAD of time in one of those 20 communications, exactly how much I was going to be responsible for. I would have cancelled long ago. I came home, called another Dentist and got an appt the next day. NO COPAY either!

Invisalign consultation: First, the front desk staff just repeat some general information about Invisalign to me, most of which I already know from Googling, also it does not feel like she is talking to me. Then another staff took pictures of my teeth and then show me a simulation of someone else's???? I was really confused and upset why am I seeing a simulation of another patient. It doesn't give me any more information on how the Invisalign treatment will help MY teeth. It seems I can only see my own simulation only after I start the treatment. Doctor Meng came in and chatted for like 5 mins, during when he provided the key information like how long the treatment is. But overall I can't believe this consultation worths $150.

I have struggled with Dentist Anxiety my entire life from some bad experiences early on. After moving across the country and not having anyone to ask for recommendations, I relied solely on Google and Yelp reviews and selected SDA. I have now been here three times and each time has been fantastic. Each time the front desk is helpful and polite, the person who brings you upstairs is friendly and warm, the hygienist is talented and informative. Every single time. And best of all is the dentist. Dr Ta is an absolute light and I'm so lucky to have met her. When I had my first cavity in 14 years and was extremely nervous, she very calmly told me that consent extends to medical situations also and it was fully in my right to reschedule and come back when I was ready. She did absolutely everything she could to make me feel comfortable and supported in that moment and I value her kindness and humanity immensely. I did end up doing it that day, and she did a wonderful job making sure I knew what was happening through each step and making sure it would still fit in my retainer afterwards. I absolutely recommend SDA, especially Dr Ta.
