Dr. Fairchild grew up in Idaho and loves being a part of the Austin community. She is a Board-Certified pediatric dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree was completed at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio in 2008. Following dental school, she completed an extensive two-year pediatric dental residency program at Primary Childrens Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2010. With her additional training, she gained valuable knowledge and experience with in-office conscious sedation, general anesthesia, behavioral management techniques and trauma on-call cases.

Dr. Fairchild is an active member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, The American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and is current with Pediatric Advanced Life Support. She is also credentialed at Oakwood Surgery Center.
Dr. Aurora earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS), at the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry in 2004. Following dental school Dr. Aurora chose to complete a year of General Practice Residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. During her dental training Dr. Aurora demonstrated a natural ability to treat children and patients with special needs. Dr. Aurora then pursued training in Special Patient Care at Helen Hayes Hospital in West Haverstraw, NY. She provided dental services to individuals of which were medically compromised with physical or developmental disabilities. Dr. Aurora then went on to complete a two year Pediatric Specialty training residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York City and served to be Chief Resident in her second year.
Following her successful completion of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Aurora was asked to become an attending for Special Patient Care at Rose F. Kennedy Center a part of Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY. Dr. Aurora supervised post doctoral residents in their training by providing guidance and training. Additionally, she was also in Private Practice specializing in Pediatric Dentistry located in Long Island, NY for three years.

Dr. Aurora is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. She is a part of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Conscious Sedation.
Dr. Shiny Thomas, a native Texan received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Baylor University and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Dental Branch. With a deep interest in treating special needs patients, she then completed a General Practice Residency from the UT Houston Dental Branch and Memorial Hermann Hospital in 2005. Her unique ability to work with anxious patients and young children and her love for learning led her to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program, where she earned her Specialty Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in 2009.
As a pediatric dentist, I love educating and empowering children and their parents to live a healthy lifestyle. I believe that oral health and wellness go hand in hand and establishing healthy habits early in life is best, especially in early infancy and childhood. I want every child to have a positive experience and receive high quality dental care and treatment in a warm, caring environment.
In her spare time, Dr. Thomas enjoys reading, the simple joy of learning (Spanish, history, dentistry, cooking, almost anything!), physical training, and experiencing life with her blossoming family, friends, and amazing church.
Dr. Thomas is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and was awarded the prestigious Richard C. Pugh Achievement Award for outstanding performance on the ABPD Examination, placing her in the top 3% of all candidates in 2009. She holds certifications in oral conscious sedation, CPR, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and laser dentistry. Her special interests include infant oral health, children with special needs, cosmetic dentistry, and a natural, holistic approach to caries and oral disease prevention.

We had a great experience with bringing our toddler in this morning. They were very sweet and responsive to our requests for separate rooms and emailing paperwork ahead of time. It went as smooth as possible.

My son started going here 3 years ago, and they are great. Last year I switched dentists for location/convenience and completely regretted it. Today was our first time back at Sunny Hills in a year and they found serious issues that the other dentist didn't even mention. We are so grateful to be back.

*Updated Review* My kiddos are now 12 & 14, and we're all still happy at this office. Dr. Fairchild and the other partners and staff are stiil friendly and professional. Really good with kids of all ages and stages, from young kids to teens. I still recommend them highly! Always prompt, friendly and thorough. Video screens over the chair help kids be less wiggly. My kids, 7 and 10 don't complain about visits to the dentist, that says a lot!

For several years my child went to Dr. Thomas in Sunny Hills Pediatric Dentistry. As usual we set an appointment for next cleaning, but we were met by another specialist Dr. Aurora. A month later we received a bill for 250 for the exam because it was a dentist who does not participate in Delta Dental plan and they never told us. When I make an appointment with the same doctor, I expect that it will be him, and if a substitution happens, they must warn in advance especially when the doctor is out of network. Now my friends, colleagues and subscribers will never use the service of this company.

This office is the BEST for my child who has been Diagnosed with Autism, they took good care of my son, being patience and understanding with him. I highly recommend Dr Jamie Fairchild for children who are diagnosed with Autism if parents can't find a great Dentist Provider, she is the best to go to. I'm sure everyone else are wonderful. This is my personal experience.

We love Sunny hills! We've been going since my daughter was 6 months old, she's now 9 We've moved twice and are now 30 mintues away, but we still travel just to see Dr. Fairchild. She is amazing, and all their staff is kind! We won't go anywhere else!

It's an awesome place. Knowledgeable Doctors and staff. Very friendly and cozy atmosphere. My daughter loves this place. They have a media room for kids so kids can enjoy their visit!

Been going here with our daughter for 5 years. Dr. Aurora decided not to participate in Delta Dental plan and never told us. We showed up for our appointment and they wanted over $400 for a cleaning and xrays upfront. Said our plan changed, which is not true. Our dentist will handle our daughter now. Lousy way to end a relationship.

I just can't believe the amount of patience they have with kids. Even though my son didn't enjoy the teeth cleaning part of the visit because he "didn't like the taste of the toothpaste" actually fluoride lol they still managed to make him feel happy before we left and he is excited to go back! Literally the best dentist he's been to

Everyone, from the assistants up front to the hygienist to the dentist were soooo sweet and gentle with my daughter as she got fillings for the first time. They walked her through every step of the way and asked her multiple times if she was ok during the process. Would definitely recommend. It's obvious they care about your child.
