My family and I have been going to Sun Oaks Dental for a few years now after it was recommended to us by a friend. I have experienced excellent care here and have always felt safe in their hands. I just finished a year of Invisalign treatment with them and they were so helpful and accommodating with my schedule. They always take the the time to explain things to me and answer all my (many) questions. :)

I experienced very good care, from the hygienist to the Doctor. They did a great job making sure I was comfortable during my visits.

Always trying to upsell some service. Dr. Chang was highly Recommend it but I was grateful when I insurance changed and I just didn't feel the need to come back here.

Absolutely horrible service. Dr. Richard Change was mean, agitated, I have a bad gag reflex and it was hard to give me shots and he is literally mad saying just breath and hold your breath at the same time duhhhh impossible. Jamming his finger in all inpatient ...I had to get up and leave with a extremely painful tooth... but his behavior was so rude I had to leave......

Great dentist office! Very warm and welcoming front desk staff, great hygienists and Dr. Kirsten and Richard are knowledgeable and take time to fully explain any and all procedures or questions asked. Family friendly as well - we've been taking my 4 year old here since she was 3 and she loves them!

Absolutely horrible service. TL/DR Please do your diligence before using this office. Kristen is unqualified and her father, Richard, is nothing short of a bully. I had been using this dentist for years, until last year when I called in with some tooth pain in my wisdom teeth region on the left side of my mouth. After talking with the receptionist, it seemed like I should have a tooth removed. So I went in to have that done. Upon arrival I was greeted by Kristen Chang, Richard Chang's daughter, who had done some basic work like fillings and things along those lines in the past, so I was comfortable. She begins discussing the procedure and everything when her father comes along and moves her out of the way. He proceeds to tell me that my problem is TMJ, not a toothache. This is actually good advice and I have been grateful for it ever since. The problem was the way he "showed me". After removing his daughter this guy sits in the chair next to me and presses on my face in the lower molar region, saying "Does this hurt?" It didn't hurt so much, but he didn't even say he was going to touch my face so I was a little off put, but then he moves his thumbs up my jaw to the TMJ spot and he just mashes his thumbs into it saying, "OK, now does THIS hurt?" and I'm like holy moly YES! It hurt so bad. I'm equally grateful for his advice and horrified by the delivery. There were such better, more respectful ways to do it. He seemed more upset about his daughter allowing me to come in and have a tooth removed. I am not a dentist, I go with the advice that is given to me. I figured this would be the last time I go here, so it's fine, thank you for the advice and good luck in your future. Fast forward to a year later and one of my fillings has broken and come out. I figure they have all my x-rays and everything so it would be easier just to use them for this small procedure. I call in and request an appt and the receptionist, Danielle, says "Sure, we'll set up an appointment, but we had to write off 50 bucks of debt twice in the last year (October 2018 and Feb 2019) apparently, so we will need a refundable 50 dollar deposit. I'm like ok, weird, never heard anything about that, but fine, my face hurts and I need to get this fixed. I give my credit card and everything and I'm ready to see them tomorrow morning. Then, FIVE MINUTES LATER, Lynn (their accountant?) calls back and says "oh, no we actually need to charge your card the fifty dollars right now to pay for that debt before we see you. I just wanted to give you a heads up." I am completely floored. Who is running this place? Sheezus. I'm like no, I wouldn't have given my credit card number if that was told to me at the beginning of the conversation. She responds with, well do you just want us to put the debt back on? I'm like, do what you gotta do, don't charge my card though and I ended the call. I will never be coming back here. This is 2019, step your game up people.

Great dentist office! Was referred to this dentist, big mistake. He talked to me like I was a worthless human being, I had some crowns that still need to be redone but he will not send over to the old dentist, so I have been in pain for months, they have now taken me off chemo due to this. All he had to say was I won't wont win and the other dentist wont do anything for me. When they are trying he is with holding my documents. He put temporary crowns on and charged me 143 for them to fall off in a week, all he could say is I don't care I can eat during the holidays. Never in my life have I been talk to with the lack of respect he has shown. So I am know off chemo and they could care less. They said I needed to sign a paper givithem peemission to send over which I already signed. Already talked to dentist association as well as better business bureau and my lawyer. They are horrible. I know there were others who said he talked to there wife the same on here yesterday but there gone now..

First let me say I rarely post reviews unless A, They are so GOOD that I feel they deserve the recognition because they go the distance. Or B, They are a total disaster that needs to go away and I want to be sure I'm a part of that. To get 5 stars from me is close to unheard of in the World we live in. With that said, Sun Oaks Dental is by far the MOST AWESOME group of people I have ever had work on my teeth, and I am 55 years old. When I got home and looked at the work and recapped on the experience, I was in such a great mood and felt so good about it, (this is going to the dentist people) all I could think about was how I could show respect for a job well done. That's when I sat down and wrote this! I LOVE your practice Rick.

Please beware of this place they are very bad dentist to the point of bring crimals they take advantage PEOPLE deliberately sabotage my teeth in my opinion and the dentist the fixes my teeth because of there criminal behavior. U Changs belongs in jail not working on PEOPLES teeth please don't go 2 them it's been over 4years iam still in pain because of what they did to me.

My treatment at Sun Oaks Dental has been amazing - the doctors and staff are so professional and efficient. They are highly skilled and can work with both adults and children. Thanks so much for the wonderful care!
