I moved to Alaska nearly 20 years ago. When I was a young boy my dad brought me to Alaska on a fishing trip and I knew then this was the place for me. I have been married to my sweetheart Carleen for 30 years and we have lived the most amazing life together. We have 6 kids and 7 grandchildren whom we love dearly and enjoy spending time with. I have been a pilot since I was a kid and absolutely love the time I get to spend exploring this beautiful state chasing big fish or big moose or just looking for a cool place to land an airplane. Two of my sons and one of my daughters are pilots and we love the time we share together doing the things we love in our airplanes. I have been a dentist for over 25 years and truly enjoy what I do as a dentist. It's incredibly rewarding to restore broken, damaged, or decayed teeth and help people enjoy a beautiful smile. Perhaps the coolest thing about my work is getting to know so many really amazing people with stories of their own. On a daily basis I get to hear so many amazing stories of people's lives and learn what makes them tick and I am truly fortunate to have that opportunity every day!
Stephanie has lived in the Mat-Su valley since 1989. She attended UAA in the dental hygiene program and graduated in 1996. She and her husband Randy raised two sons, Shane and Rowdy in Wasilla. Stephanie and Randy enjoy caring for their small ranch with horses, dogs, and chickens and as a family they enjoy hunting, fishing, and other Alaskan adventures. Stephanie has 26 years experience as a dental hygienist and loves taking care of her patients at Sun Mountain Dental Care
Kim has been a dental assistant for 28 years and loves helping others and taking care of people. She wants them our patients to feel like a part of our family. She is currently a board certified dental assistant and holds a license from UAA's restorative placement program. Kim has been married for 25 years to her best friend and they have two grown boys and two grand children. She loves spending as much time as she can with them when not working at the office. Kim loves taking nice long walks, watching movies and just spending time with her family.
Kristen grew up in Washington state and moved to Alaska in 2019. Since moving here she has had the opportunity to try so many things she never dreamed possible. Her family in Washington is in shock that she ended up in Alaska but she wouldn't trade it for anything. Her absolute favorite thing to do is explore Alaska from the patchy old super cub her husband Ty and her own. Their adventures are usually made up of fishing, hunting, camping, or skiing but just about anything outside works for her. Aside from her life outside of work, her goal has always been to find a career that would allow her to help others. Dental assisting has been a wonderful path for her and she feels very grateful to be in a position that focuses on serving people in her community.
Chris was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. She moved to Wasilla in 1995 with her husband Rick and their young family. Her children are grown now and shes a grandma. Chris enjoys working in her gardens, spending time at her cabin, dot painting and collecting rocks. She loves getting to know the patients at SunMountain Dental Care and helping them feel at ease during their visits.
Kathy was born and raised in Minnesota. In 2000, she moved to Alaska with her three children. She has been in the dental field for over 30 years. Kathy enjoys working with great patients that come to our office and loves being part of a great group of people. She takes pride in how our practice cares for our patients. Kathy loves spending time with her family and dogs. She has two wonderful grandchildren which bring much joy to her life! She enjoys fishing, hunting, gardening and all the amazing things Alaska has to offer.
